Analysis : More or less Michael Olowokandi is the best value-draft pick ever. He was a breakout star as a Los Angeles Clipper, and in his final year there (a contract year, remember) he broke out for career highs in points (12.3 ppg), rebounds (9.1 rpg) and blocks (2.2 bpg) albeit in an injury shortened season (he played 36 games).
Following this season, Olowokandi was a hot piece of center meat on the market. The Minnesota Timberwolves snatched him up on July 17th 2003 for the cheap price of 3 years and $16,226,100 total. Michael then proceeded to fill the stat sheet with turnovers and fouls, while trying to isolate himself and throw up one-handed garbage on offense. He has since been shipped off to Boston with Wally Szcerbiak and he enjoys sitting on the bench while the Celtics wait for his contract to end. It has been rumored that he may be traded yet again, to either Denver or New York possibly. We'll keep you updated.
