Locus Solus

You will be on the Mayflower when you regain control. Save your game and then leave to area 3, where you will take control of the Golem Asgard.

Might want to switch that to the Monowheel to start off as there are some treasures nearby. First off, a Lucky Card at x 411 y 18450, Ambrosia (x 304 y 200), and then go to the far west and north.

You’ll reach a rock. Get Asgard out and have him punch the rock to move on – but another golem is here. Asgard will be fighting Muspel. Enjoy the fight.

The central section of Locus Solus is open to you now. Get the Gella Card (x 184 y 253) and Lucky Card (x 225 y 286), and then enter the Pilgrim’s Cradle.

The Pilgrim’s Cradle

In area 2, you are treated to a new tool, the Anchor Hook Cartridge. First though, use the Power Shot to shoot the blocks each a space, and then freeze them. Use the Anchor Hook to pull yourself to them.

Examine the terminal and Carol will stay back. Go east to leave Greg on a switch and then north to leave Chuck on the next one (since it’s not dark in this room to scare him). Last, have Avril activate the east room’s switch. Now you can jump attack the bigger switch in the north room.

You’ll have your members back but a boss battle ensues. You are fighting two Nyame and a Nyankopon. The most dangerous threat is that they isolate you and get Meowserable to screw you over for a few turns. Pussy Willow will do a decent amount of damage too, so you should try to camp out on the water ley spot and get rid of the Nyame first, and then change to the wind ley point for Nyankopon. If you remember, get on the fire ley spot in the northwest for a RFX Apple.

Enter area 12 for an Anchor Orb intro. Continue all the way to area 17. Again have Carol activate the terminals and then go west. This switch belongs to Chuck, and the next one to the north put Greg on. Go east to drop Avril off and then go south and west until you see Chuck again. Get him back in the party, and then return to Greg. Switch him with Rebecca, and then go east quick to get Avril back.

Now go west and north to leave Chuck. Go east and leave Avril, and then north for the big switch. Jump attack it, save, and continue west. Another tough battle looms against three Chimera parts. After a few turns they join together into a huge Chimera that cannot be attacked – you need to wait this out or cast Isolate. Chimera C should be your first target (use the fire ley point). The other two are weak against Wind, but one of them requires you use Crush instead of Hi Blast. When the Chimera merges, use that time to catch up healing.

Head back a few areas to save and use the crystal to exit.

Locus Solus

Head back to the southeast now for some Darkness Tear scenes. You’ll get the Teleport Orb and will end up near Tony in Capo Bronco. You also get the Power Saber.

Since you’re in Capo Bronco, talk to the strong-willed shopmistress. Since you brought her husband food she gives you a Duplicator. Then she’ll ask you to deliver something else. Since you have the Teleport Orb, this is easy. Just use this to Alcedonia, and then take the train to Orsaeos. Her husband is here, so give him the Energy Drink. A Wing Amulet is your reward for this.

Since you’re in this area of Filgaia, go to Harmonde. Search around area 1 for the siamese looking cat near the port, this is Jude’s. Bring it back to Honeysday (through Meisis) as Jude is waiting. Bowtie Boy gives you XERD_003SS, a great weapon for Dean.

Letters for Rudy

There are three letters you can deliver Rudy. Jane’s Simple Letter, Cecilia’s Fragrant Letter, or Mariel’s Flowery Letter are your choices. Get Jane’s in Laila Belle, Cecilia’s in Gounan and Mariel’s in Honeysday. Rudy is the drifter you are looking for, and he appears at several places, from Cavam Valley to the Laila Belle Guild. Delivering the Fragrant Letter nets you a Duplicator and ATK Apple, the Flowery Letter nets you a Muse Amulet, and the Flegel Jahre for the Simple Letter. Obviously, the latter is a powerful weapon for Rebecca, while the Muse Amulet is a rare one that helps in getting the Chick Badge (a badge that leads to a sidequest or two).

Teleport Orb Adventures

As you travel around the trains, talk to a lady who you can exchange Teleport Orbs with. With this new “broken teleport orb” you can find spots on the map to use it and get items. In Northeast Filgaia (x 876 y 720) you’ll find a spot to use the Teleport Orb and you’ll be at the Abyss. There are some decent items and weapons here, but I don’t recommend venturing around here until you’re leveled up much more than you probably are now. You will get murdered or lose all of your gella if you run.

The northeast filgaia teleport orb area is northwest of Orsaeos. Blow up a boulder with Asgard, save your game, and continue up a hill until you are at about x 419 y 962. Use the Teleport Orb and again you end up in Southeast Filgaia, but this time in the north part. There is a King’s Crown (duplicator chest x 850 y 468) to get and on the west side you’ll see a nice, fresh, LVL Apple Tree!! You can only pick them once in a while so come back to it if you remember.

From the above location, use the teleport orb to Honeysday, and then go northeast. You’ll see a peculiar structure at x 86350 y 426 so head in and use the Teleport Orb. You will be in southwest Filgaia now on a raised area. Unfortunately all that is here is a large crystal with enemies that will slaughter you.

In southwest Filgaia, go to the desert south of Twelbit. At x 325 y 235 you will find the spot to use the Teleport Orb. You will wind up in northeast Filgaia, near a Puzzle Box. This one is damn hard but it nets you a Lucky Bird (x 81250 y 68950).

Tartarus

This is in Northeast Filgaia. You’ll need to go north of Provectas and cross the river with Asgard. Take the Monowheel all the way to the east and you’ll see the Tartarus structure at low elevation. Southeast of this is Puzzle Box 19, at x 949 y 769. An Ancient Sword is your reward. Teleport to the Starlit Path, and then travel north and then east. This is even more southeast of Tartarus than the last puzzle box. At the end of the path is a large stone for Asgard to destroy, and the puzzle box is revealed. Complete it (x 973 y 705) for Extra Reaction.

Cocytus

In southwest Filgaia, teleport to the Hillside Ruins. Travel north of here, using Asgard to go through the shallow water. At x 60 y 258 you will find a puzzle box containing Wonder Booster.

Southeast of this puzzle box is Cocytus, one of four crazy optional dungeons. Just enter it and leave so that you can Teleport here later.

Teleport back to the Hillside Ruins but go east this time until you reach a boulder. Asgard can destroy it and you can go to the southeast now where another puzzle box lies, along with a Sol Niger. Check and complete the puzzle box at x 217 y 102 and you’ll get an Elder Record.

Inferno

Teleport to Wayward path south and go west. The Lightning Bomb is your reward for the puzzle box at x 131 y 846. Far to the northwest (use Asgard to get across) you will reach Inferno. This is the last of the four optional dungeons.

Travel far south of here, almost to the southwest marker on the NW map. At x 130 y 607 you will find another puzzle box that gives you Over Drive. Also in northwest filgaia, teleport to Orsaeos and go north and wrap around east. At x 463 y 874 you will reach the Slide Suit puzzle box, #16.

There should be one puzzle box left, in Southeast Filgaia. Teleport to Mt. Chug Chug and go south, using Asgard to blow through the ice to the west. At x 647 y 261 you will find the Mist Cloak after completion of the puzzle box.

This should be all 20 puzzle boxes. Once you have completed them all, return to the Rugged Train Workman. He will be pleased and will give you EZ Missile.

Hillside Ruins

Head to area 13. Now you can take the Anchor Hook across to area 14.

In this room you’ll have to Power Shot the block, and then do the Freeze / Anchor Hook combo to get across. Use the Fire Bullet and then push it onto the switch to continue. The next area (16) is tricky. You’re going to need to Power Shoot these blocks, specifically the middle one, and hope that they get in the middle of the cage coming down. Start off on the switch and move toward them to shoot as the cage goes down. Get the 10000 Gella and then turn back – you can’t enter the door at the end.

Isolated Path

Go to area 12 and use the Anchor hook to get across to area 14. Break the jars for 325 Gella and move the fan so that you can light the altar on fire.

Up ahead you’ll find more altars and the Sol Niger. Not a hard one to defeat – stand on the Earth Ley Point and use Hi Blast and Heavy Crush, and try to get on the northwest ley point for a Thief Badge.

You need to light up all four altars to continue on here. To do this you will need to push a crate in front of the fan that prevents you from lighting one of them up. There is a Wing Amulet and Neutrino Medal in the next area, not to mention a huge crystal in front of you.

You are locked out at area 18. Use the Power Shot three times or so to get it on the switch. You will find the Cloak of Illusion in the next area. Exit the Isolated Path now.

Note that you should have 18 Neutrino Medals, netting you the Airgetlam. In Meisis you should be able to get Kanon to talk about King of Angolmois – Angol Moa. She also gives you the Nose Hero (attack + 50).

Onion Baguette

Head to Twelbit and go to the Gentle Baker. If the girl with the umbrella is there you won’t be able to get it, but just exit and re-enter town if that’s the case. The baker will give you an Onion Baguette and you are to deliver it to the umbrella woman. You’ll need to enter Alcedonia until you find the sorceress with the umbrella. Once you deliver it, return to the baker for a Geo Amulet.

Rocketeer

The Amateur Rocketeer in Harmonde needs Gold Nightingale and a Podarge Wing. Go to Mirapulse then, specifically the house directly under the bar. A Podarge Wing is left with a note – grab it and return to the Rocketeer. He will have created the Hob & Nob weapon for Carol.

See the book near the Rocketeer Clive? Well, you can only open it with the three men in your party. When you do, a battle against 8 or so Adult Mag’s ensues. They are level 82 and will wipe you out now.

While you’re in Harmonde, talk to the Charity Coordinator. Supply 20 Heal Berries (for a Blank Medium) and then 5 Tents (for Second Flash). This Second Flash is important – Teleport Orb to Twelbit and give it to the screenwriter in area 2. She’ll hand over Canned Peaches in return. Go to the Rascally Youth in Honeysday now and give him the Canned Peaches. You will acquire a Werewolf Fang now.

Tim and the Chick Badge

Go to Mithysmere once you get a Chick Badge. He will give you Sacred Boy and the Crystal Tear.

Now go to the Memorial Sanctuary. Give the guitar wielder the Crystal Tear and he gives you the Coyote M18F.

TF System Towers

There is one in each of the areas of Filgaia.

TF System Tower S

TF System Tower S is in northeast filgaia. Continue on until you reach the top of area 1 – use your freeze gun to get by. Use the jump pads in the next room to get to the top with the exit and Muse Amulet.

Eventually you will reach an area where a boss ambushes you. You are fighting against two Sea Bishops here, and they are a difficult task. They are weak against Fire but it’ll take a ley change to get that to appear. Try to then gather them on the water ley spot and fire away with Heavy Crush and Hi Blast. Careful of Hydro Pressure, that takes off a sizeable chunk of your HP. Stay healed and end on the southeast point for an ATK Apple.

Continue on to area 8 and get the Full Revive x2. See the boulders next to you, and then the outline above? Match the boulders with the design above and a door will open. Go to the previous room.

Take the newly opened west door. Leave the north bulb white, but make the south-most one red by shooting the flame shot. Make sure the other bulbs in the middle are frozen blue.

Return all the way to area 4. Since it’s frozen, push the two blocks next to eachother on the ice. Use them to form a two-way bridge so that the third block can be pushed onto the switch, opening the north path.

There is a Dragon Fossil right in front of you, and then a similar block / ceiling puzzle. This one is two levels though. Complete it, and then take the east path in area 4.

Get the duplicator chest (Hourglass), and then climb all the way to the top. The box across the chasm is a Duplicator x2. The Sol Niger is here, but it’s a little risky fighting it now. You may wish to just restore your HP and then do the puzzle to continue to floor 12. If you do fight them, be prepared for a long battle. There are three of them and they each have 35000 or so HP. Their attacks aren’t really that great but once you kill one of them, they are more apt to start spamming Heavy Crush and Hi Blast on you. Stay on the fire ley spot to do maximum damage.

Cover up the switch with the block, and then jump your way to the top. There is a duplicator chest (Pocketbook) that is worth your duplicator. Push the block down on to the switch and continue on.

As you get to the save point, you’ll see a switch in the middle. You’ll need to use the Power Shot to circle the west and northern blocks around so that one of them lies on the switch.

The chest in area 15 is a Blast Breaker. Be prepared for a boss a bit further down the path. It is Pethameno, an enemy who also uses Hi Blast but has a decent physical attacking in One Two Hook. Get a Moon Medium user in the battle to continue to use Replace, leaving the boss on the earth ley spot. Finish the battle in the far southeast for a MAG Apple.

Return back and save before going to area 16. This is where Elvis is. Variant Attack is what you really need to be watchful of, though his regular attacks (Rapid Punch) do about 2000 damage. Hydro Pressure can wipe you out, especially if you are camping out on the fire ley point. Try your best to have someone in front who can block or at least lower the damage of the physical attacks, while your Heavy Crush / Hi Blast users spam away on the ley points. Elvis is weak against everything, except Water. Conserve your MP for Carol, because afterwards you get in a solo duel. I had no MP so I had to use up my Potion Berries and Hi Break’s and such to survive.

After the battle, get the Giga Crush and leave. To get to TF System Tower F, go to the very southwest point of Northwest Filgaia.

TF System: Tower F

Go west when you enter. It may take a while, but use the Detector and then the spring jumps to get to the top for a Wing Amulet and Duplicator x2. Jump down and take the middle level exit.

This area is a little weird. First, shoot the blue central crystal. Then you’ll see four targets in the corners, shoot each of them and the north ground-floor exit will open. Climb the pole in area 4, and in area 5 you should use the detector. You will find a room where you should again use the Detector, and jump up to get the Dragon Fossil and Growth Egg (duplicator chest).

you will run into a boss. You are going up against two Skyfish. They are weak against fire and earth, but it’s risky being on those spots because they’ll blast you with Hydro Pressure on the opposite ley. Have revive and Critical Heal ready, and of course your Sword Medium user will do the bulk of the damage with Crush and combo attacks. Get someone on the northwest hex for a DEF Apple.

Continue on to area 7, climbing the pole and taking the middle exit. Just go in the room and use the detector to reveal some passages. Leave, climb up, and take the top path. Use a detector now and look to the right for a Holy Grail. To solve the fan puzzle, move the one near the Holy Grail to face east, and then the other one to face south. Then go to the middle path, and use the flame shot on the eastmost and southwest torch. The other four need to be frozen, and the door will open.

Lots of pole climbing in this area. Soon you will enter area 11. Shoot the Lucky Card and then move the fan so it faces west. This is the only way to get the Point Stabilizer (Duplicator chest). Of course, face it east to continue.

In area 12, get the Gella Card and the Gold Moon (duplicator chest) in the next room. To get the west door to open and the Sol Niger to appear, move the northwest fan so it faces east and the southeast one so that it faces west. Again, you may wish to move on until you reach the save point before trying the Sol Niger boss. It is definitely not easy. There are three huge ones with 43000+ HP. You’ll want to focus on using magic on the earth ley spot, and even then the damage isn’t that much. This will be a long battle, just stay healed and hope that Critical Heal can get you through the battle during the tough times. The northeast spot (water ley spot) drops a Full Revive. No more randoms in this tower, and you earned it.

Grab the 15000 Gella in area 14 and run ahead for a boss. It is the Jupilasect. Dark Isolate and Bloodsucker are the worst attacks. Everything else is manageable. But Blood Sucker takes off around 2000 each, not to mention it restores HP for Jupilasect. You will need a Holy Grail to survive Dark Isolate, it’s really a devastating move.

To continue on in area 14, you will need to shoot the blue crystal below, and then the crystal at the end. Save your game and get the Life Charger (duplicator chest) in the following room. To continue with the fan pattern, you will need to go west, north, west, south.

It’s not easy but climb the poles up. A tough boss lies ahead. Like, the toughest you’ve fought yet, and maybe the toughest of all.

You’ll probably want Greg outfitted in the same stuff that Carol had, building him up around the Sword Medium. Kartikeya can murder you though, with Lock On doing about 4000 damage, and Sky Twister not being very nice either. The key in both fights is to stay more than 1 hex away from him when he does the Evil Laugh, because he is about you blow you away with Lock On if he’s near. The one on one battle will test your wit – you will have to use Mega Berries when you are low on HP, and get your shots in with Intrude and Heavy Crush on the earth ley spot.

Grab the Giga Crush and leave as usual.

Southwest Filgaia TF System: Tower M

Before taking on the Tower in this area, you’ll notice the Sol Niger along the way (you’ll need to use Asgard to break a rock). You won’t want to face this, as it has ley regen and in general will smoke you because it is level 88.

As you enter TF System Tower M, just go through the first few floors until you are on the top of area 1. You’re going to need to fire shot the altar, and then use the freeze shot to get the platform to go the other way. Finally, shoot the altar with the fire shot and then continue through the west exit.

Climb the pole to area 4. Shoot the three northmost altars with the fire shot, and then get close to the south exit that is closed. Once you shoot the fourth altar it’ll open, so rush through and climb up the pole. Once you are in area 8, shoot nearby altar with the fire shot and then the freeze shot. Take the left path and go through.

Four more altars to shoot up, and then get on the platform immediately. That platform will begin to raise once you light all four up. In the next room, be sure to save and then get on one of the planks. Look at the four corners and there are four more altars to light up. The east exit opens.

Grab the Dragon Fossil nearby in area 11, and then a boss looms. You will be fighting two Iron Maidens. Not really all that dangerous, their most dangerous attack is Gravity Earth and then probably Hyperion Ray. Stay healed with Critical heal and be in the southwestern hex for a RFX Apple.

The puzzle up ahead in area 12 is simple. Fire shot the middle altar, and then freeze the rest of the altars except for the corner ones (which stay white). 15000 Gella in area 13, and then some platforms to the top. The chest at the top is a Miracle Striker.

Four more altars to shoot up in this area, and then the Sol Niger and exit on the other side. The Sol Niger’s have huge HP totals, as usual. Use your entire party to cast Hi Blast and Heavy Crush on them while you’re on the water ley point (and while they’re preferably on the fire ley point). Since only one of them can be in a hex at once, it’s easy to isolate one of them in the north spot where the fire ley point is. Stay healed, watching for the time to go to the northwest hex for a Full Revive.

Shoot the torches fast in area 15 to continue up. In area 16 you will need to flame and freeze the altars off and on to move the platforms back and forth. The duplicator chests are Goat Doll and Phantom Vision.

Save when you get to one, and continue on in this area to find Leonhart. Hi Blast is best compared to Heavy Crush, and of course the water ley spot is where you should camp out. Leonhart will use Blade Arm for 1500 or so HP damage most of the time. He does have an Uncensored Spell that does 2500. Jump to the spot just northwest of the Earth Ley Point for a Duplicator.

Return back to save. Rebecca is the one you need to outfit with the Sword Medium, Nosehero, and boost her physical attack with Dragon Fossils. Laurel Crown wouldn’t hurt, allowing berries to do more restoration.

Your first goal in the group battle against Persephone is to ley change so that you can get on the water ley spot. However if she pulls of Cremation on whoever is on that spot, especially if she is on the fire ley point, you are likely dead. Her Lock-on and then Gatling Gun maneuver is a good one hit kill too. Like Kartikeya though, if you move away from her she’ll just defend instead.

Next up is Rebecca versus Persephone. Persephone really has a light HP total, so a few heavy crushes on the water ley point will result in a quick victory. Persephone did nothing but cast Quicken on two different hexes before dying – but like usual, stay away if she attempts the lock on ability.

Another Giga Crush, another crystal exit.

TF System: Tower G

This is in southeast Filgaia. Just go to the northeast corner and you’ll see the structure with the opening. As you can see from area 1, this one focuses on Chuck.

Make your way up a pole to area 3, where there are several colored tiles. Jump on the first four tiles in front of you, and the first three fall down. Get the Duplicator x2 and then take the west path for Blast Builder (duplicator chest). Make your way to the south exit in the previous room now.

To continue south in this room, you need to jump on all the blocks, in the red-green-blue-yellow pattern. It’s not too hard to do, just snake around and make sure you remember the RGBY order, and of course make sure you end up at the south exit.

In area 5, you need to jump attack those switches fast – they switch back to blue quickly. It’ll take a while but you’ll get the hang of it and will gain time on the platform that is lowering. Once you get a few cleans jump attacks, run for the platform and jump.

Same idea in area 6 as in area 3. RGBY until you reach the north exit. Hopefully you haven’t wasted too much MP because a boss battle against Ghost Rider comes up. Ghostrider is weak against Wind and halves fire damage, and likes to use Night Fencer, a regular physical attack. Heavy Crush and Hi Blast on the wind ley spot will make short work of this guy. Just get on the fire ley spot (west hex) for a HIT Apple.

The next room, area 8, is the hardest RGBY one yet. You’ll want to work your west east first, and then come back counterclockwise to the north exit. Ride the platform in area 9, and use the jump attack at the end when it stops.

In area 10, take the southwest exit after the scene. There are two red pillars, and you are to have them both hit simultaneously (much like the jump attack switches before). Once you successfully do this, go back in area 10 and go to the upper exit so that you can now cross to area 12. Climb the poles, get the gella on the first two floors, and then the Dragon Fossil at the top.

Save your game and take the path straight ahead in area 14. Keep going until you can drop down in area 16. In area 17, get the Geo Amulet and then purify the Sol Niger. This is an easier one compared to some of the other group’s in the previous towers. Just stomp away on the Wind ley point, and you may need a Moon Medium user to Replace with the Sol Niger so that you can get on the north spot (fire ley point) at the end of the battle. Your reward would be a Holy Berry.

Return back to area 14, the room with all the colored altars. You will need to use the freeze shot on the first crystal, and then the power shot on the blue crystal and purple crystal (several times). Use the fire shot on the white crystal twice, and then use the regular shot on the last crystal.

As soon as you enter the next area, you’ll be in a boss fight against a Gremlin. It’s not weak against anything but you shouldn’t have an issue blowing it away on any ley spot. Might as well choose the water ley point, where you can find a HIT Apple.

In area 18, ride the platform until the end, where there is a Gold Sun. Rest up and have the Sword Medium / Nose Hero combo set up for Chuck. For the group battle though, you’ll want to ley change right away so you can begin to actually do some damage (on the wind ley spot of course). Be wary of the Laser Silhouette, which is an instant kill, a move similar to what you’ve seen from the other tower bosses. He’s most dangerous though when he has two turns in a row (happens every third turn or so, because he’s so fast), he tends to like to use Stone Bullet in those situations. Next to Kartikeya, this is the hardest of the tower fights imo. And he gets off his instant kill attack more often than Kartikeya.

Of course it’s Chuck and Fereydoon after this. Fereydoon is low on HP and this should be another short battle, with a few Heavy Crushes doing Fereydoon in. Oh, be sure to be on the wind ley spot. Fereydoon will use Red Zone in this one on one matchup.

One last Giga Crush to pick up. Some scenes after you hit the crystal and leave.

Back at Capo Bronco, save and leave. Head to Mithysmere, and then go west. Have Asgard go across the shallow water and you should be able to see the tower from here. Before though, get the Tiny Flower (duplicator chest) along the way.

As you cross the second shallow water part, you’ll come to a battle with Asgard and Midgard. Fun stuff.

TF System: Tower O

As you enter, alarms go off and a boss battle with two Diefighters looms. More come as you kill the first two. After about 9 total the battle will be over.

You have a shot to split up here. Choose the party to go with Dean up to face Volsung, and then after this the other three will be in battle. This is a tough boss, Gehenna Neros. It’s more the high HP total that is daunting – Gehenna will waste turns using Doppelganger, and you can kill the doppelganger a few turns after. Hi Blast can do a good deal of damage especially if you’re on the earth ley point, and have Gehenna locked into the wind ley spot.

Meanwhile, you have control of Dean. Use the detector and ride the platforms up to area 3, where there are several platforms traveling in many directions. To the south is 20000 Gella and a Dragon Fossil, both duplicator chests. Fire shot the altar and then get the west crystal in the next room.

You need to light up all three altars here, so use the charged up fire shot. Go back now. If you freeze shot the area 4 altar, a new crystal emerges. This area is tricky, because you have to continually freeze the altars while on the fast-moving central platform.

Return to area four and use the regular shot to open up a new, north crystal. Area 7 has nothing, but look to your right as you enter area 8 for Holy Berry x2 (duplicator). Also, Duplicator x2 at the other end with the exit.

There are three crystals in this room. In order to get the crystal appear, shoot the right, left, middle, and right crystal with the power shot (looking south at them), and then standard shot the left crystal to get the east crystal to appear. The key in area 10 is to power shot all the of the crystals except the middle one, and the east door opens. Continue on for Full Revive x5 and another blue warp crystal.

Get the Blank Medium in area 13. Power shot the northeast altar, freeze the southwest, fire the southeast and regular shot the northwest. Get the Duel Sign and shoot the middle crystal with the Duel Sign. You will have to fight two Magnatortoises but afterwards the north exit opens. Grab the Ambrosia and take the exit.

Vagesta up ahead will take a long while to defeat. Weak against wind, it does manage to have 90000+ HP. Maelstrom is a problem and so is Storm Blade. Stay healed and watch for spray type attacks that attack a direct line of hexes. The northeast hex has a RFX Apple if you end there.

The Sol Niger and save point are here in area 15. Also, the Exodus Orb. The three big Sol Niger’s like to halve your MP unfortunately, making this a longer and harder battle than it needs to be. End on the north-most hex though for a valuable LVL Apple.

This is the point of no return to Filgaia. Take the crystal when you are ready, and continue until you see Volsung. His best move is Gram-Saber, which does around 1000 to each character. He has a more dangerous attack with the Gram Saber but if you cast isolate on him or move away it won’t be an issue.

It is a fake Volsung though. Grab the Giga Crush and hit the crystal. Next you’ll be in Laila Belle, as two Karian Sentinel’s will be going after you. These two things are weak against water so blast away on the spot since you start on it.

Afterwards, you’ll see lots of enemy golems on the monitor. An old friend is at Honeysday to help out against the golems. The captain will teleport you to Locus Solus.

Locus Solus : Black Box

Search area 1 for a Cordyceps, Full Revive, an item-selling treasure box, and a save point.

The first puzzle comes in area 3. Freeze three of the four wooden crates, and shoot the fourth. Then drag the remaining three on the three switches to take the south exit. There is a Lucky Card in the cell and then continue along for area 5.

Area 5 has an LS Amethyst P and Holy Berry in the cells, and then shoot through the south wall with the power shot to get to area 6. To continue in here you are going to need to push a crate onto the switch, and go to the west wall. Shoot the crate on the switch and a cage comes down right in front of you, but the door opens.

Area 8 has a Mega Berry and Hi Water. Shoot the detector off in area 9 and then shoot the objects – if you walk into them, it’ll start a fight. Area 10 has an Ambrosia and two exits – take the lower one.

Blow the blue crystal up with the power shot. This just opens up a path back to area 3 if you want. Go back up though and take the top path in area 10. Area 12 has a boss, Titanius. Try to Replace if it gets on the Wind ley spot, because that’s where you want to be. After a few Heavy Crushes and Hi Blasts Titanius will be dead.

Go through the door to area 13, ignoring the area 12 devices. There is an LVL Apple in a jar in area 13, and a LS Amethyst E in area 14.

With the power shot, shoot the blue crystal ahead after the long scene. Use the detector and then look to the north. Jump and shoot the power shot to knock a pipe down. Now you can go to the switch. Once you step on it, you’ll see the blue flame at 11, pink at 3, and orange at 7. Go through the other door in this room to get to area 8.

You’ll want to take the top route here to get back to area 9 and again take the top path in area 10. Finally you are back in area 12. Instead of making it 7:55 though you need to put the minutes at 55 and hour at 8. Take the west catapult up to area 17.

Fire up all the altars in area 18 and go back to 12. Put both the hours and minutes to 15 and now you can use the east launching pad to get to area 19. Area 20 has four more altars to fire up, but two of them have blue flame this time. Back to area 12 with the clock. Change it to 6:10 (minutes at the 2 spot, hour at the 6) and a door opens in area 20. Take that east trampoline and go through to area 21. A boss ambushes you here, two Garyugossa’s. They’re weak against earth but you must be wary of camping out on the earth ley spot. If they are on the wind ley spot, they can do a fair amount of damage to you.

Take the area 21 elevator and then go straight ahead in area 22. There is an LS Amethyst Y, Ambrosia, save point, and Sol Niger. The three Sol Niger’s aren’t fun and may make this battle a long one. Your best bet is to get on the earth ley spot, though it is occupied so that may be hard to do without Replace.

Return to the previous area because there are two hallways that are accessible. This will take a while to explore both areas – shoot the blue crystals to create elevators or to set platforms. While on the platforms that disappear / appear you’ll need to look for other blue crystals to shoot. You’ll find two switches you can jump attack in area 24, an LS Amethyst Z on the next floor up, and that’s about it.

Save your game in area 26 and then return around the circular path to area 24. Insert the four Amethysts along the north wall and a new path will open up. You can save one last time.

Volsung is here, the real one. After a long scene, you’ll be fighting him and two of his Zone Violator buddies. He has an instant kill attack with GZ Nemesis that will kill anyone in the hex. This would be a good reason to stay separated because his Gram Zanber attack only does 1500 or so damage.

After the battle, Volsung has a trick up his sleeve. Use the Exodus Orb to get the hell out of there so Jotunheim doesn’t stomp you. You can save before you get outside. Your buddy Asgard is likely to get slaughtered by Jotunheim here. Anyway, watch the 5 minute scene and then you will be in the last battle.

Legio Volsung’s difficulty is based on your levels. The higher all of your members are, the closer to level 100 Legio Volsung will be. It has an Ultimate Claw P attack that attacks all members. Giga Crush is one of it’s more powerful attacks but even that does around 2500 damage only. If you’ve gotten this far you’ll know what to do.

Laila Belle

Give the Corporate Peon in area 1 the Werewolf Fang. The Black Pass is then yours. With this, you can do all sorts of great stuff, sacrificing your levels of course. But you can really get your top characters leveled by farming low levels (to 40 or so with the back 3) and then exchanging 100 of those levels for a 20 level apple. Quickly, you’ll have level 80-100 characters. Just level the weak characters up in the back during the optional dungeons.

Mithysmere

Before you go here, buy one school outfit for each character (each character has two options at the black market, it doesn’t matter which one). Go to area 10 (assuming you’ve talked to Pastel already) and put the uniforms on everyone. 3 Hresvelgr’s will appear. They are level 48 and rather easy, but get on the Earth ley point to ensure that you can blow them out quickly. Return to Pastel for Terrace Tiara, a badge that allows you to use no MP.

World Map Sol Niger’s

Southeast Filgaia’s Sol Niger is northeast of the TF System Tower G, at approximately x 969 y 519. These three aren’t that difficult, though they do have a nice evade. Their HP is low and attacks weak. They do have good elemental defense so it may be a longish fight, until Solais Emsu comes out. Stay on the northeast hex at the end for Ambrosia.

Southwest Filgaia’s Sol Niger is easiest to get to from the Hillside Ruins Go southeast and look toward the beach at x 203 y 127. This one is tricky because it has ley recover on any ley point. So you will need to use Shut Out or just manually push him into a corner, forcing him into a non-ley hex. Keep pummeling him with physical attacks, finest arts, and Solais Emsu.

Head to Laila Belle and go east for the northeast Filgaia Sol Niger. These three have ley regen, but much less HP. However these three also like to inflict Misery status on you, so be prepared otherwise they could route you. Of course, do your best to shield them from the ley points. Solais Emsu really does wonders here so long as you can get one or two Sol Niger’s close to death, it’ll do the rest. The hex just southeast of the wind ley point has a Great Apple.

Last but not least, the northwest Sol Niger. Go to Orsaeous and then travel south with Asgard. There are a few Sol Niger’s here, both are weak against earth and fire though so it should be easy. No ley regen. Stay on the wind ley point at the end for an LVL Apple.

Adult Mags

In Harmonde, there are those dirty mags on the ground by the Rocketeer. Give someone the Moon Medium, and then save. Go up to them with the three boys (hopefully they’re all high level) and they’ll get in a fight with 8 Adult Mags. Fortunately, this battle shows how effective Gather can be, by using this on the Adult Mags to get them on the Earth ley spot, you can bomb them with Heavy Crush on the Wind ley spot. Stay on the north spot (fire ley hex) to get RES Apple. Your reward for this battle is Night Princess.

Mount Chug Chug

Take the area 2 elevator the area 14. From here, climb a ladder and go southwest where you can power point a new exit.

Grab the Potion Berry x5 and then use the Duel Sign on the big crystal. You will be facing three Que Sera Sera. They are weak against water and earth, so if you can get on the earth ley point it should be smooth sailing, as you can lessen the magic damage and cast Solais Emsu when the time comes. End at the north hex for DEF Apple. You get part of the Golden Angel.

Go down a few floors and use the Exodus Orb.

Decrepit Path (s)

Go to area 3 and use the Anchor Hook on the boulder twice to get it on the switch. Beware for the crystal as when you use the Duel Sign, Ape Man Junma and his 280000 HP show up. This guy is the definition of a brute, with a 3000+ regular attack and 5000+ plus attack. He doesn’t employ a whole lot of strategy, so just get locked down on a ley spot that you can take advantage of him with and go from there. 200000 is a lot of HP though. If you remember, end on the middle hex (water ley spot) for ATK apple. You also get Golden Angel for this.

Temple of Rejection

At area 8, anchor hook across. Get the Red Pepper and Magic Pot, and then fire the left crystal and freeze the right one.

Now go to area 12. The water is running, and you can freeze it. Jump on it and over to the luminating crystal. Inside this one is a cute little guy named Chaugnar Faugn. This guy has another 100000 compared to Ape Man Junma, and has some instant kill attacks basically. His other attacks do decent damage, and he can gather your party too. Basically though the strategy is the same in this battle compared to the last.

Inferno

Teleport to the Inferno, or if you haven’t been here, go to the northwest part of NW Filgaia. Grab the Duplicator x2 chest and go to the purple teleport. In area 2, go straight to the teleport. Area 3 requires lots of Anchor Hook use to get around, go grab the Lucky Card and make your way to the northeast corner for the portal.

Head to the middle of area 4 and get Ryan’s Shield and Cordyceps x5. Return to area 4 and take the other path. Run straight ahead and you’ll be at a teleport that takes you to area 6. Jump attack the switch which reveals a path to Holy Berry x2. Take the nearby teleport which brings you to area 7, in front of a duplicator chest (Warp).

Return to the previous room and take the east warp. Stand on the switch and then go to the spinning bridge. Anchor hook to the north for Mega Berry x5 and take the northwest teleport for Vital Force (duplicator). Take the path just east of this now for area 8 and a save point. There is a rotating bridge and an anchor hook – take the anchor hook until you can drop down on the bridge, and take the first west portal. Same idea in area 11 but the bridge is now a small platform – take the east portal when you can.

Back in area 8, but a different part. Jump to shoot the jars, one has a Holy Berry, and then step on the switch. Use the nearby anchor hook spot to get back to area 11. Take the very northeast path to come to area 13.

The nearby duplicator chest is a Full Carrot. It’s going to be tricky but you need to get to the southwest corner via anchor hook for the portal. Area 14 has lots of stuff, like Great Apple, Neutrino Medal, Holy Berry x8, Gella Card, and the Sol Niger. These two Sol Niger’s don’t have the most HP, but aren’t weak against anything and they are super fast. Fortunately their attacks aren’t too great so you should be able to stay alive.

Return back to area 11 after you get all the above. Use the Anchor Hook to make your way to the southwest portal. In area 12, look low to find a power shot treasure, Ambrosia. Anchor hook across and get Hi-Devastate x5 and Castle Wall.

You have to go back to area 8 (north exit in area 2). Take the east exit after using the anchor hook. In area 9, use the anchor hook to get to the upper area where there are jars and a Neutrino Medal, the second one here. That northeast portal leads to a Dragon Fossil and Spike Boots (duplicator). The southeast portal leads to 18000 gella and the northwest leads to a switch. You can also jump and shoot the Wonder Booster from here. Go towards the save point, using the anchor hook and moving bridge to get there. Save your game of course, and use the anchor hook to get all the way across to the area 15 teleport. A tough monster is here. First get the MAG Apple and Neutrino Medal in the jars, and then use the Duel Sign on the luminating sphere.

You’ve just released Mictlantecuhtli. He’ll be Mick from now on. He likes to use Giga Crush, which will maul pretty much any character, even the level 90 ones I had in there. Just try to get on the fire ley spot and do your damage with hi blast and heavy crush. He also has a Candle in the Wind maneuver that will drain your HP to 1. You’ll want to get Lucadia off when he does this to you so that you can replenish everyone. Just survive this battle and you’ll get the Recovery Program after. Use the Exodus Orb now.

Tartarus

Take the northeast portal in area 1. Freeze bullet the area 2 crystal and a platform switches. Take the nearby portal, and near the jars in area 3 you can jump and shoot the treasure for Ancient Blade. It may take a few tries. Take the other portal here, and then the northwest portal in area 4.

In area 8, you want to quickly fire bullet the south crystal and then jump back so you can continue on east. Take the southeast path in area 9, skipping two portals along the way. Continue on in area 7 to a new portal to area 9. There is a duplicator chest (Speed Star) and a crystal that you should use the freeze shot on.

The platforms are different, so you can take the southwest most exit now. This leads to a Great Apple, and nothing else. So go back and take the middle path that you just passed. There is a Dragon Fossil here, and then use the northeast portal. Area 10 now, with a Ley Change duplicator chest and a save point near you. Now go northwest.

Shoot the jars in the northwest corner for another Neutrino Medal. Go back now and take the east-most path. Continue on until you reach area 5, where you should fire-bullet the crystal and then climb up to the southwest exit. Another Neutrino Medal in area 14, and the Sol Niger. There are three of them, they all have 57500 HP and halve every element save for fire. Because of this, it will be a long battle. Their attack aren’t the biggest problem – causing Misery status was more annoying.

Back to area 5, and then all the way back to area 10. This is a few portals. Save your game, jump up the new platform, and take the northwest path. Use the standard shot on the crystal and take the southeast exit. Shoot the jars for a DEF Apple and you can power shot the treasure for Punching Glove. The crystal should be frozen, and then you can take the east exit. Continue this way until you reach First Security.

Return to area 11 now, and take the northeast exit. When you get to area 9, take the north exit until you reach area 8. Use the regular shot again on the crystal. This will allow you to get Turbo Drive and Giga Spark.

Back to area 11. Take the middle north path, shooting the Monopoly Gourd and Goat Doll. Take the middle portal to area 15, where there is another Neutrino Medal and another scary boss. Much worse than the Inferno boss.

This is Angol Moa, King of Angolmois. Level 97, 100000 HP and not weak against anything. If you don’t have 8000+ HP you’ll never survive The Seventh Moon. Chances are you won’t, but if you have a Mountain Medium user you can use Invincible right before he pulls it off. This character will have to be fast though.

Cocytus

Cocytus is in southwest Filgaia. Go through to area 2 where you can save.

Lots of paths here. The bridge moves every once in a while. The west path to area 11 was open when I ran up there. Continue on to the area 12 warp, and then go straight ahead for Shamil. Look to your left and follow that path to the Sol Niger. There are three level 80 or so Sol Niger’s, but you start off on their weak point (earth ley point). Have your healer go a spot north and hold ground while the Sword and Sky users bomb away. Psychedelicer is dangerous if your HP is low from Gravity Earth. The key is staying around half way in HP so that gravity earth puts you in red, allowing the sea medium user to heal.

The northwest path at the save point portal split leads to area 13. Go northwest, shooting the jars for Neutrino Medal along the way. Area 14 has a Metal Suit for Chuck, and then return to the big split.

In area 2, take the northeast path to reach area 3. Another Neutrino Medal and a portal that leads to Virtuous Guard. Return back, and take the southeast exit to reach area 7. Another Neutrino Medal and a teleport to area 8, where Seed of Eden lies.

Take the east portal now. This leads to area 5, which has a RES Apple and the area 6 teleport. Goddess Breath is the treasure here. Finally, take the southwest portal and shoot the jars for Holy Berry. In the next area is Cromwell.

Now that you have checked every path, save, and check the new portal at the very top of area 2. Go in and you’ll see a luminating crystal. Duel Sign it and you’ll find three Lycanthropes. These guys can do a fair amount of damage and may kill a few characters before they get in danger. If this happens, you’ll be forced to use Full Revives of course. Just use Jump or Replace to get on the southeast hex, the wind ley point. Then you can spam your magic and heal. Solais Emsu is extremely helpful here as the enemies can heal themselves by 10000, so it’ll allow you to whittle their HP down all at once. Finish on the north ley point for a MAG Apple.

Your reward is the Sonar Kit. You can now see hidden items on the world map.

Abyss

This is the scariest of the four optional dungeons. You can gain levels really fast here, obviously, with some of the highest leveled enemies around.

Save your game and continue to area 3. Take the west portal, and then the northwest portal in the next area. Continue on until you reach some jars with ATK Apple. Move through several portals until you are at area 17. In this area you can shoot the boulders so that you can use them as steps to get up. Take the northwest exit, and then when you get to area 9, take the south exit. Shoot through a wall, take the south portal, and you are in area 29. A few things here like a duplicator chest (Dragon Fossil x2) and two Sol Niger’s. These guys aren’t weak against anything (they at least halve every element). Solais Emsu will help, as will Finest Arts. Just stay healed and win this war of attrition.

Exodus Orb out and save.

Within the Abyss is a Wild ARMs legend, Ragu Ragula. To get him to come out though, you need several items on the world map. In northeast Filgaia is the Jasper Pillar at x 528 y 957. Southeast Filgaia has the Holly Crown at x 95350 y 510, which requires Asgard to destroy a rock. Northwest Filgaia has the Obsidian Spear at x 292 y 667, which again requires Asgard destroying a rock. Finally, southwest filgaia has Sacred Shroud at x 33350 y 183, south of the Isolated Path.

Okay, back to the Abyss and save. In area 3 take the west portal and area 2 take the middle. Take the southwest teleport in area 11 and this leads to Heavy Knuckles in area 23. Take the middle path to area 14, and then go south to area 20. Shoot the wall and then go through with the southeast exit. Take the middle north path in area 21.

Area 24 is an ominous room. Grab the Cat’s Paw (duplicator) to your left and then go forth to drop the four items down; Sacred Shroud, Obsidian Spear, Jasper Pillar, and Holly Crown. A new teleport emerges. Behind the crystal in area 30 are two more duplicator chests – Marksman Badge and Punching Glove.

Use the Duel Sign on the crystal when you are ready. No guts no glory. Be prepared with lots of nice badges (Sheriff Star, 100% orange, chick badge, etc) and luck. Ragu O Ragla has his own music and is the king of monsters. 500000 HP and 3500 ATK. Giant Impact will take off about 6000 and his 1 trillion degree move will basically annihilate your party unless they are on the water / fire ley spot and with a chick badge. You could also have a Mountain Medium user use Invincible, but that’s hard to rely on considering the fact that you’re dead if Ragu goes before you. 100% orange badge on your healer is your best option – that way your healer will have roughly 5500-6000 HP, which results in 55-60 hits from Ragu.

You should be able to kill him within this time, so long as you have the Full Revive stock to keep reviving your other characters. For your victory, you obtain The Omega. The Omega gives you a critical hit with every attack.

Honeysday

Southwest of the exit is the town of Honeysday. A save bird will be in area 1 and then you’ll see a Silver Moon Duplicator Chest in area 2, just to your left. The other side of town. You’ll learn about the Gobs from the Cafe Owner. You’ll also hear of the Monowheel but the Gobs stole the Spark Plug to run it.

In the southeast part of town is an EVA Apple shining on the ground. Near this are Duplicator x2 and Dragon Fossil. Go up the middle structure and search for a Neutrino Medal and Nightburn’s huge house.

Meisis

- Northwest of Honesday is the Meisis station. You can learn about Puzzle Boxes and Sol Niger’s here.

Southeast Filgaia has the usual lot of treasures. You’ll find a Dragon Fossil (x 773 y 425), Duplicator x5 (x 73250 y 410), 2000 Gella (x 843 y 374), Gella Card x3 (x 899 y 418), Duplicator x5 (x 877 y 328), Dragon Fossil (x 817 y 223), Berserker Badge (x 80850 y 171), 5000 Gella (x 886 y 181), Prism Staff (x 934 y 276), Ninja Badge (x 916 y 378), Dispel (x 759 y 101), Tent x5 (x 685 y 7850), Gunstar Sign (Duplicator – x 695 y 106), Agony Effect (x 768 y 260), Land Steal (x 709 y 385), Isolate (x 577 y 414), and Item Scope (x 710 y 319).

Desecrated Shrine
You’ll see a Gob as you enter. You’re going to need to shoot him with fire bullets to get him to light the switch.

Enter the southeast room in area 2 to reach area 3. Grab the Duplicator x2 and some Antidote in the jars.

In area 4 you have another Goblin to shoot with Fire Bullets. Also though you need to look up to the left and shoot that torch manually. Now you can enter and grab the Gella Card. Go up the stairs and shoot a jar for a Neutrino Medal.

In area 5 you’ll see a Gob standing where the statues are. Shoot it with a freeze bullet to get by to Area 6. In this area, turn right and shoot the crate to get rid of the Goblin. Shoot the jars for a Revive Fruit and then jump on the switch.

Use the freeze gun on the Goblin in area 7 and get the Dragon Fossil. Area 8 has a crate you need to freeze, and then fire bullet the goblin to get the switch to go off.

Soon you will come to some Gobs. Two Shotel Gobs and an Axe Gob to be exact. You’re going to want to gang up on the former two in hopes of defeating them by the time the Axe Gob gets near you. Nothing really hard here although they halve your magic attacks in most leys. A HIT Apple is your reward if you end in the north-most hex.

Before you jump down in this area, shoot that blue crystal with your normal ARM. This opens the left door in area 2, allowing you to enter area 10.

Grab the Lucky Card and freeze the Gobs you see. Shoot the jars for 429 Gella and a Potion Berry in the next room. Climb the ladder just left of the entrance. Get the gella and the 7500 Gella nearby in a chest. Before you get on the blue switch, move the two center boulders onto the glyph so that when you step on the switch they both fall. Drop back down to floor 11. There are two switches the boxes must be pushed onto to continue.

Get the Medicine x5 and watch around the corner to the left for the Gob. You need to freeze him from a bit away so he doesn’t spot you. Next room, shoot the crate to destroy the gob. Area 15 has a couple of Goblins to freeze. Grab the Moonstone and Stake Driver (duplicator), and then take the ladder to exit area 16.

Up here is another duplicator chest – Emblem Vest. Again you’re going to want to push the blocks onto the glyphs before you hit the blue switch. Climb back down the ladder and push the blue blocks onto the switches to continue on. Continue on, using the Freeze Gun on the goblins along the way.

In area two, climb the ladder to the left of you and then save. The Sol Niger here has some powerful attacks and can absorb anything but Water (which he’s weak against). You’re going to need to get off Ley Change with Avril so that you can get the water ley spot available. Do your best to survive the first few turns until you have the force to use Ley Change. A Mega Berry is your reward if you’re on the northeast hex.

Be sure to save because this boss has some tricks up his sleeve. This is the boss gob, Boss Olivier. He is strong against every element so only use magic when you are not on a ley point. Also, if it gets on any ley point, it will restore it’s HP. You do not want this to happen ever obviously, so use Shut Out. Or just move on the ley points and start attacking, isolating him without a spell. The bad part about this is he can cast Disease on hexes that you are trying to hold. Regardless, Hi Blast and Heavy Crush are still effective enough especially considering Olivier’s attacks aren’t that powerful. More of a strategic fight than a show of brute force (though you’ll be using plenty of physical attacks). If you can somehow manage to get to the northeast hex you’ll get a Duplicator.

After the battle, several scenes with mediums, and then you get two Blank Mediums of your own and the Spark Plug.

Honeysday

Back in Honeysday, you’ll be served by Lucille. You also get the Call Whistle from her so that you can use the Monowheel in the world map. Before you leave there will be some scenes with Chuck.

Meisis

You probably have stopped bere before, but if not it is northwest of Honeysday. Some Veruni Soldiers fight you as you enter. There are four of them, but their attacks don’t pose too much of a problem. Have your Heavy Crush / Hi Blast members stay on the Wind ley point and cast away. If you can finish on the northwest hex, the fire ley spot, you’ll get a Duplicator after winning. Try to save some MP however.

Fereydoon

is here to see what’s going on. He challenges a member to a duel, and Chuck steps up. Not a battle he’ll win, though.Back in Honeysday, talk to the Rascally Youth to get the Humpty Dumpty egg. You need to make it back to Laila Belle without engaging in battle basically (though escaping right away works too). Monowheel is obviously the easiest way to do this. And don’t forget to set the encounters off in the cave to the Laila Belle part of Filgaia. Return to the guild with the Humpty Dumpty intact and you’ll receive Ambrosia, Frey Amulet, and 3000 Gella.

Since you are in north east Filgaia, there are some Puzzle Boxes to get (remember the guy in Meisis talking about them?) In the southwest (x 619 y 650) you’ll find one that nets you Great Apple x3. One more in this area (x 873 y 653) that yields a Fish Badge.

Mt. Chug Chug

Back to southeast Filgaia. Go to the west, snowy part where the mark on the map is. As you enter, you’ll see a worker and then a boss, the Kobold. Physical attacks and Crush ability’s do not work at all here. You’ll have to rely on Hi Blast (on the Wind Ley Spot) for maximum damage. Finish the battle on the northeast hex for a Duplicator.

After winning you will get the Chug Chug Key. Chuck joins you for now. Use the key to get to area 2.

Shoot the jars for 127 Gella and a Hi Fire. Go for the east exit to area 3. You can’t get the first chest but if you shoot the crate you can get the second chest – Lucky Card.

Look to the southwest in area 2 to see the area 4 entrance. Another inaccessible treasure in area 5 and the exit in the northeast. Lots of fences in area 6 and another chest you can’t get. Fortunately there is an Item Scope that you can get, and a switch to jump on to continue.

Some scenes with the prisoners at area 8. In area 9, you’ll want to climb down the two ladders, or just jump down. Climb the other ladder for Duplicator x, then you’re going to want to drop down and take the lower exit.

In area 13 you’ll find 237 Gella on the ground, a Potion Berry and Mega Berry x5. Jump attack the cart so it goes into the elevator, and take it up. Break some more jars in area 14 for this dungeon’s Neutrino Medal. You’ll notice some ladders in the middle – go up one of them for Revive Fruit x3. To continue though, you’re going to want to press the switch where the cart is, and then go to the cart. See the level (flip that around with the left analog). Climb up the other ladder and you can push the cart through the top level and get the King’s Crown.

Here is where it gets tricky. Change the course by shooting the thing in the middle, and then send the cart back where it came. Hit it again and this time it’ll go through the other door. Go back to the lift and lower the platforms, and then you can hit the cart to the other elevator and take it up.

Hit the switch and the cart will go to another platform on the new floor. Use the lift again and slide attack the cart. However once you get to the end of the tracks Chaos will surface. This creature is weak against Earth so do your best to hold out that position and spam Hi Blast and Heavy Crush. However those are the favorite ability’s of Chaos also. If you can manage to get to the north position you can get an ATK Apple. Chaos rarely moves though. Get the Power Shot cartridge near you and continue on.

The Sol Niger in the next room might be the easiest one yet. Just get on the wind ley point and cast Heavy Crush and Hi Blast, and it could die just from those two alone. Try to get Dean to the north point to get a Full Revive after the battle. Northeast to exit area 3.

Hit the second switch on the other side of the fence in area 16. If you don’t step on the yellow squares, you can get to the Frey Amulet duplicator chest. The other switch leads to the exit. Smash through everything with the Power Cartridge. Drop down and climb the opposite ladder in the next room to get the Ebony Shadow.

Do a jump attack on the switch above that you see, and then some big important scenes. This upcoming boss fight is one of the hardest you’ve faced yet, and likely the first few turns will be extremely hard to survive. Nightburn has ridiculous RES and his gun attack will do about 1000. Not to mention you’ll likely be isolated right away. Wipe out the Veruni Infantrymen as quick as possible. You’re definitely going to want to pull off a Ley Change when possible so that you can get the fire ley spot available – burning Nightburn is the way to go.

Oh wait, the next battle is the hardest one yet. A one on one duel and you can assume who it’s between. Most people will likely be unprepared or out of MP to win this battle the first time through, but Nightburn is a bit weaker this time around. However he does use Gravitron for half damage. Use your best berry’s to stay alive, though my Dean had the Sea Medium so that was a bit of a help. That way is a lot more time consuming than being able to use Crush or Hi Blast on the fire ley spot (it was a 30 minute battle for me and my mega / potion berry supply has dwindled).

Some more crazy scenes and you get the Class A License to ride around the trains like a big shot. Return to the Chug Chug Mountain, specifically area 8 where the cells were. There are flashing things – Hi Break, Hi Devastate and Revive Fruit. You can also get the Arctic Blade in area 6 with your power gun.

Honeysday

Back at Honeysday, Duo is already here. He hints that you should go to Twelbit.

The Bowtie Boy in town is missing his cat. Agree to find it and then leave for Meisis.

Meisis – Alcedonia

Check it out, you can ride the train now. You’re looking for Alcedonia, southwest Filgaia. Also realize that with the Power ARM and the Puzzles unlocked you can go back to past areas and search around for various items you can get. In this part of Southwest Filgaia you can find Hyper (x 412 y 345), Gella Card x5 (duplicator – x 440 y 395), 10000 Gella (x 326 y 340), Gold Sun (x 349 y 237), Fast Gunman (x 362 y 276), Duplicator x5 (x 375 y 214), Speed Skates (duplicator – x 256 y 21950), and Laurel Crown (x 304 y 153)

Twelbit

Twelbit is in the northwest, marked on the map. For now though, I’m going to go back through the other areas. To continue with the walkthrough, type in ctrl f – Twelbit.

Cavam Valley

First of all, there is a puzzle box in the far south part of Filgaia. At (x 330 y 516) you will find Mega Berry x5.

As you enter Mirapulse you will see the Agitated Hunter. You’ll hear about Harmonde and Greg gets interested. Since you’re near, go to area 16 of the Abandoned Path to find React Plus (power ARM chest). The Lightless Shaft has two similar chests, a Dragon Fossil (area 2) and Potion Berry x3 (area 13). The latter probably isn’t worth the treck, extra dragon fossil’s are always welcome though.

The other part of northwest Filgaia (Orsaeos) should be your destination. The puzzle box in the northeast yields Ambrosia x3 (x 395 y 894).

Since you are nereby, go to the Temple of Rejection. Use the fire ARM on the two white crystals and then go to area 17. You will get a Gella Card and a Bad Omen.

Gounon

is a short trip west. At the winery you can get Fresh Apple Wine if you rotate the L analog stick.
Protectas

Let’s continue clockwise to Protectas. You are to go to Laila Belle. Get the Ebony Key from the Handyman. Give the Corporate Peon the Apple Wine and you’ll get Blank Medium x3.

Since you have the Ebony Key, talk to the Green-Haired Fugitive at Mithysmere. Try to take him back to Laila Belle (first option) but he’ll disappear.

To find him, go to the nearby Starlit Path, and head to area 11. You’ll see the Green-Haired Fugitive, who again escapes.

Head for Provectas and then Cavam Valley. You are to run through the Abandoned Valley until you reach this area of Southwest Filgaia. Two more puzzles to go through, one yielding a boon in 3 Dragon Fossils (x 156 y 414) and then 5 Full Revives (x 198 y 21050).

Celestial Peak

Northwest in this area is Celestial Peak. Go to area 9 – you can shoot the boulders and continue east. Continuing on, you’ll find a Dragon Fossil in area 14, Mega Berry x3, Cordyceps x2 in area 17, and Slow Down.

Hillside Ruins

Leave and head southeast for the Hillside Ruins. In area 7 you’ll find your old friend Zed, the Green Haired Fugitive. He flees but at least he drops a Blank Medium this time. You can enter that south door if you use the fire ARM on the torches near it. There is 14 Gella and a Neutrino Medal in area 8 here.

Area 9 is next. Take the first south path you see for Nectar x5. Then, back in area 9, use the Detection ARM to find the floor panels to cross. Bring the block over and set it on the switch of course.

Area 11 has a strange door to the north. You need 221500 Gella (think Wild Arms 3) to go through. Lots of treasures within. Nothing you can do in the other area (area 13).

Capo Bronco

Get the Nightburn poster in your house. You can also go to the silver parakeet since you have 12 Neutrino Medals now (Duplicator x2 and Blank Medium x2).

Get the chicks in the jars (near Tony’s place, in your house, and near the shop). Return them to the forgetful man for a Hen Badge. This doubles EXP gained, very useful. Talk to the shopkeeper here (use the talk option literally) and accept her quest. She gives you Fried Chicken to feed her lover.

Return back through the north pass, and then to Cavam Valley. Take this to Alcedonia, and then Twelbit. The first big guy you see as you come in is the guy who needs the Fried Chicken. Don’t look too much into this town, it’s where we need to go next but there are more side quests to finish up.

Back to Alcedonia. You have to go to both northwest Filgaia stops (Cavam Valley and Orsaeos). Take the latter and then go to Gounan. Speak with the girl to your left, Paladienne, since you’ve talked to her brother. You will get two Blank Mediums and a Gold Nightingale.

Take Cavam Valley next, and then go to the Lightless Shaft. At the end of this is Zed again, the Green Haired Fugitive. He escapes again but next time, you’ll catch him. Sure enough, go to the Celestial Peak, area 18. Zed is at the very top, and gives you the Doom Bringer. This is a really powerful weapon for Chuck.

Return all the way to Provectas (through Cavam Valley), and eventually Laila Belle. The Handyman who gave you the Ebony Key will reward you with a Blank Medium (as if we need more).

Since you are near Mithysmere, go there and talk to the kid in the middle of town near the well. He’s the one who loves Nightburn, and since you have the Nightburn Poster from your room you can give it to the kid (and get Duplicator x2 and Blank Medium x2 in return).

Alcedonia – Twelbit

Back to Alcedonia, then east to Twelbit, our destination.

There is a duplicator chest just to the left as you walk in for Laurel Crown. Further north for Duplicator x4, the bakery shop, and an exit. to area 2. Right as you enter, look right for a duplicator chest (11000 Gella) and 7500 gella. Make sure to drop in 1000 gella in the water fountain to make “the atmosphere change a little”. You can get a Bronze Moon or Bronze Sun from one of the girl’s on the north side of the fountain.

Also on area 2, go to the screenwriter (Emma). You can hug the street lights and climb up them, and just above her is a Neutrino Medal and a HIT Apple at the end.

Lucille

is nearby, and she works for Lady Diana and the Rygs Family. Evidently if you find the Le Ciel Bleu in the Southern Desert you can talk to Lady Diana about Johnny Appleseed.Far to the south of Twelbit, you’ll see a blustery desert. At the oasis, search at the end of the bridge (you’ll need to get off the Monowheel). You do indeed find the Le Ciel Bleu, so hurry back to Twelbit.

Show the flower to Lucille and you’ll end up talking to Lady Diana. She mentions Locus Solus but eventually Fereydoon returns back early. He catches you.

Begin to run away, and in area 2 you’re going to need to jump and shoot the top part of the chandelier with the power arm, and then you can jump down and take the northeast door. Keep running until area 4. In this area you’ll notice a spot on the floor that goes down. Use the jump attack and you’ll fall down.

Isolated Path

Persephone
is down here however. Rebecca and Persephone duel. Rebecca will get cremated. At least you’re allowed to flee.

A save point is right here in area 6. Return to area 5 for Landing Bomb and Gella Card. Further ahead (area 6)are some jars and the Neutrino Medal.

The duplicator chest at the end of area 7 is a Fish Badge. Use the L analog to rotate the fan 360 degrees, which opens the door. Area 8 is tricky – you need to shoot both blocks with the power cartridge, and then enter area 9. You’re going to need to rotate the fans just a little so that they blow the smaller fans. You can get Devastate and Water in area 10. Again, move those big fans to blow the smaller ones to open the door. Area 11 has a Lucky Card, Dragon Fossil, and Leather Jacket (duplicator). As you try to move farther, you are disrupted by Elbucky.

Elbucky likes to use Misery attacks. This turns you into a cat, and you are not allowed to move. Elbucky also acts fast and has decent attacks. You’ll want to camp out at the Water ley spot and use Heavy Crush. Might as well stay here because you get a RES Apple for finishing on the water ley spot.

As you leave this place, you’ll see a scene with the Professor talking about the VR Factor.

Twelbit

Head to area 2 of the town for a scene. Head to Mirapulse quick. Talk to the first guy past the memory bird and he mentions a way of getting to the southeast. A new marker should be on your map, so travel southeast of Cavam Valley to get there.

Decrepit Path

Grab the Gella Card and head to area 2. Use the Detector right away so you can find the platforms and jump to area 4. The platforms in this room will allow you to jump all the way east, to area 5.

Again, the detector needs to be used and then run ahead. Get the Speed Queen (power shot), but the regular chest you see is an Imitator. This one is weak against Water, so get on the water ley spot and start spamming your spells. You’ll get the Radical Denim for your victory. To go on to the next area, you are going to have to fire the gun.

In area 7, you need to jump attack both switches to open the gates. Of course, push the block onto the blue switch and enter the door.

Get the Neutrino Medal and then take a right to area 9. Look just to the left of you for an Imitator chest. Again, get on the Water ley spot and bombs away. Your reward is a Shining Dress this time. On the other side is a duplicator chest (Lucky Card). If you walk to the middle of this room, you’ll have a fight on your hands.

Lots of toy enemies. A Toy Chopper, Toy Bomber and Toy Ripper to be exact. It’s best to have a Moon Medium user so you can gather the three of them on either the fire or water ley point. The fire ley point is where you’ll find the ATK Apple at the end. Two of them are weak against water though while the other is weak against fire – rotate off and on, gathering the enemies accordingly.

Shoot the jars in area 9 for a Potion Berry and then continue on to area 10. Use the power shot to get the 12000 Gella chest.

The torches in area 11 will require you to stand at an angle that allows you to shoot sets of two in a line. Grab the Hi Vortex in this area in area 12 and soon enough you’ll be back in area 8. There is a Dragon Fossil across the detector bridge, and then look north for the exit. Area 14 has Fire in a jar.

A few rooms later and you’ll find Heart Leaf (area 16) and save point. This is good because a boss is in area 17. Prisnum is weak against wind and you can probably spare the time to steal a Castle Wall from it. Most of it’s attacks won’t do more than 1000 damage, though Heavy Crush can be a problem depending on ley points. Psychedelicer can be a burden if you’re all in his way. Worse yet, it reflects magic like Hi Blast. However Heavy Crush works on him, and if you use Ley Change you can use it on the wind ley point. If you end the battle on the water ley spot, you’ll get a Duplicator.

Go straight and take the path left of you to area 13. The regular chest is another Imitator, which you use should spells on the water ley spot against. You’ll get a Hard Jumper. The duplicator chest nearby is a Castle Wall. Last but not least, destroy the Sol Niger here. This is another Sol Niger that is strong against all the elements, so avoid ley spots. Physical attacks don’t do that much damage either. You really don’t have many options besides Hi blast on non-ley spots and group attacks.

Harmonde

Not too big of an area to explore here on the world map. There is a duplicator chest though at x 392 y 599, it is Dark Isolate.

As you enter Harmonde, you’ll see it burning and Joseph. Immediately you are thrusted into battle against some Veruni Soldiers. They will use Swing Down and Execute for mediocre damage. Continue to use Gather and then get on the wind ley spot for maximum spell damage. You get a Duplicator for ending on the wind ley spot anyway. This battle is tougher than you think though.

Kartikeya

is here. He’ll smoke Greg, and then some scenes.Get the Lucky Card chest, and then the Neutrino Medal in the northeast. On the far west dock you’ll find some Speed Skates (duplicator). The Charity Coordinator is around here. The goal is to give her around 100,000 Gella. You’ll get some nice rewards yourself along the way, but you likely won’t want to commit that much right now. Especially with a shop around with new stuff.

In area 2, look for an alley to go left and get Duplicator x5. a RFX Apple and Magic Pot are to the south beach here. Last but not least, go to the southeast corner to get 9000 gella. The lobster sign in the southwest can be moved if you slide on it. Get the Gella Card once you do this.

Train

Go to Cavam Valley through the Decrepit Path. Take the train anywhere and after some scenes you’ll find yourself in a battle against a Standard Model Golem. This thing is strong against all magic pretty much, so you’ll have to make due with physical attacks. Though combo attacks like Lightning Fang and Corona Fall will be your best bets.

Laila Belle

Head over to Laila Belle since it’s near. A quick scene with the familiar dude who had the golem going after you.

Mithysmere

Remember the four-altar part of area 10? This is where Kartikeya is waiting. And some others.

Another big golem is here to kill you in the Veruni Base. But you can do anything as long as you don’t give up. Lots of scenes.

The Mayflower

Explore around the ship and save. Talk to Captain Bartholomew and then go downstairs to him to enter Avril’s mind.

Memory Maze

Just go through the crystals and absorb the plot. As you get to area 7, avoid the avril statues by going behind them. Save at the save point and go through the crystals in area 8.

Area 12 is tricky. You need to maneuver around the Avril statues so that the level doesn’t reset. An LVL Apple and Full Revive. A part of this area though is where the real Ice Queen appears. Not a battle you can win, and Avril will be gone afterwards.

When you regain control in area 12, travel up the path to get to the crystal. To avoid the Avril Statues in area 13, you’ll need to jump down past them at first and then use the Detector. Get the Ambrosia before you hit the crystal.

Avoid the stationary and moving statues. In area 15, go to the left Avril and declare her the real one. Then a battle with the Ice Queen Avril ensues. She is definitely not as powerful, but still likes to use her Begone! tactic. Hi Blast is troublesome however. Try to steal the Holy Grail from her. As for attacks on her, you’ll notice most magic is not that powerful against her. Combo attacks like Lightning Fang are good like usual. Once Ice Queen Avril starts nearing her death she’ll begin to use Mega Berry’s – all the more reason to spam combo attacks. Just be careful with her Hi Blast attack that can take off over 2000 on some characters.

Once the ordeal is over, you’ll hear about Cradle, and will acquire Giant’s Ocarina and Asgard.

Hillside Ruins

Mess around with Dean and get used to the controls. Enter the Hillside ruins in front of you and get the three gella inside. Hit the switch and continue through. Take the east path for a Break x2 and Heal Berry x2. Return to the previous room and just push the block with x onto the switch to continue. Smash the crates up and then Dean will grab Rebecca’s Journal. In the following room you can dig around the shiny areas. You’ll get some Water, Golem Parts, and gella. Time to return to Capo Bronco.

At Capo Bronco, talk to Tony and then head the other way. Talk to the lady you see for a Gella Card and then save. In town you can find Heal Berry x3 and Rebecca. After she joins, you can exit to teh world map. Head south a bit and then northwest. You’ll eventually see the road lead up a mountain so follow that and you’ll be at the Celestial Peak.

Celestial Peak

As you get here, Rebecca will give you a Dungeon Viewer. Head through the first few areas and get used to the environment and the battle system. After about 6 screens you’ll encounter your first boss, Camazotz. There is nothing you can do but attack it. Watch out for it’s Life Drain ability and crunch as well. It’s possible you’ll need a Heal Berry or two but keep shooting it and it’ll go down after about 1000 HP.

Grab the 250 Gella and Tent x2. Kick the log down and you have a new path. Jump down and continue east to the exit. Head through a few more areas and then a scene with Dean and Rebecca.

Get the gella and go up the path. Kick the log down and get the Heal Berry x3. Since you pushed the log continue to the southwest across the river. After a bit you’ll reach a save point. Continue on for some gella and you’ll eventually reach a fork. You can go left to a new screen or right to jump up a few plateaus and push down another log. You can’t continue through this new path so return to the fork and go in the new area. Grab the Heal Berry x5 and go on.

Take a left in the next area for a Lucky Card, Gella Card, and a Sol Niger. Since it is dark you must cleanse it of enemies before being able to use it. These enemies are harder than normal monsters and generally can be considered bosses, or close to that status. This Sol Niger spent a turn looking around. It’d be wise to get Rebecca a few spots away from the Sol Niger and blast away while Dean fends off the enemy on the front line. This enemy has a strong attack so you may wish to guard or use a Heal Berry on Dean. The Sol Niger dropped a Revive Fruit. You can recover your HP / MP again but no saving. However with the R2 button you can shut off encounters once you cleanse the Sol Niger.

Take the other route and continue on to area 12. Something falls down and then you’ll enter a cave for more scenes. Once it’s finished, backtrack out and save in area 7. Eventually you reach a point where another boss pops up and you get a new weapon, Twin Fenrir. Kalivos is the toughest boss you’ve faced yet though. It’s Cross Slash attack will take off around 350 so that might require a Heal Berry. He also has a fire attack that takes off about half of that. Dean is more of a threat with the new weapon.

Even though they are Avril’s Twin Fenrir ARMs, she gives them to Dean. Tony has a parting gift for you and Rebecca will pass along a Field Viewer. You can buy some things at the shop but leave the town when you’re ready.

Abandoned Path

Northeast of Capo Bronco is the Abandoned Path. You’ll fight much tougher enemies near here so you may wish to build up for a bit.

As you enter you’ll be introducted to drawing your guns with r1. Shoot the blue crystal to continue (destroy the jars for Gella). In the third area you’ll see a save point you can use. Enter the room on the opposite side.

In area 5 you’ll have to push a block on a switch. Then shoot the far wall to restore some MP. In the next area you will come across two Gomorrah Toads. They are weak against Fire and strong against Water so remember this as you see the Hex spots. These guys like using Bullet Tongue for decent physical damage but Hydro Press does about twice the damage (350) and from far away. If you get hit twice with this from the same character you may be in trouble. Don’t pursue the one on the right side, just let that sit in the fire-based hex so you can do more damage to it.

Grab the Fighter Badge and then step on that switch. Return to the save point and continue through the newly opened nearby door. Break open the jars at the end of the hallway for Neutrino Medal. There are two paths going east – take the first one that you saw for a fence. There is a treasure behind the fence, so shoot it to get a Dragon Fossil. Return to area 6 and take the corner path for a scene and a Lucky Card.

Shoot the crystal in area 8 and then get the Witch Badge. Continue east to area 3. You will acquire the Sky Medium, Sea Medium and Blank Medium. It is at this point that you learn a lot about the GC Graph, Originals etc. You can make the Blank Medium either a Sea Medium or Sky Medium. This way each character can have one so they have new ability’s. Grab the Heal Berry’s and shoot the jars across the ledge for a Revive Fruit. Enter the nearby path, get the Gella Card and save.

In area 10 don’t go up the stairs quite yet, get the 200 Gella behind them first. Then go up the stairs and a scene will occur. Step on the switch in the next room and drop down. Save and now you can go up the new stairs. Shoot the blue crystals and then enter the door.

Shoot the Thief Badge to your right, get the gella and shoot the jars to the left. Up ahead for a boss fight against Unknown. Try to get on the Wind Ley Point and spam Blast, as physical attacks don’t do too well in this fight. Unknown likes to cast slow down and use tentacle, but it has a more damaging attack (mid 400’s).

As you continue onward, take the left path and shoot the barrels in this room for Devastate. Enter the door to area 15. You’re going to have to jump to shoot the two blue crystals in the south part of the room. You’ll see a place to blow up, and two treasures – but you can only get the 600 gella here. Return back to the fork where you ignored the straight path and turned left. Now go straight for a scene with Volsung, Persephone, Fereydoon and the Reaper Kartikeya. You’ll be outside of this area once you’re done but re-enter to defeat the Sol Niger. Just get on the Wind Ley Point and spam Blast. A Potion Berry is the spoils.

Mirapulse

As you get out of the Abandoned Path, head straight until you reach Mirapulse. There is a save bird right away. Speak to the towns folk and you’ll learn of a missing license. Check the rest of town for 600 gella, Fast Gunman, and an LVL Apple in the bar. Get some new weapons, armor and badges if you want.

There are lots of treasures in this new open area of Northwest Filgaia. Northeast of the village is a save point and south of here (about x 312 y 687) you can search for the Hunter’s License and you’ll see it reads Apprentice Chuck Preston. Before you return you should build up levels and check the rest of the treasures. You’ll find a Sky Twister (x 344, y 663), Gella Card (x 200 y 586), Dragon Fossil (x 361 y 727), Priest Badge (x 275 y 724), Bronze Moon (x 300 y 633), 2000 Gella (x 346 y 585), Silver Sun (x 298 y 508), Positive React (x 336 y 538).

To continue on, you’re going to want to head north of Mirapulse and north of the save point you find. This is where the Lightless Shaft is.

Lightless Shaft

Enter and you’ll see a Big Man. Once the scene is finished backtrack a bit to the entrance. You’ll see a Gella Card nearby. Continue through the blue path to advance.

Walk all the way around via the left route. This will circle around to two treasures but one of them is locked. Grab the Dog Chain and go through the north exit. In the third room you’ll want to go straight ahead and look down to shoot the 1000 Gella chest. Also shoot the jars for a Fire. Hit the switch in the middle where the fork is to switch the route. Now slide to hit the cart through the path and follow it across. Get the Light Coat and continue on. Area 4 has some MP restoration squares to shoot and little else. Shoot the Lucky Card and Heal Berry in area 5 and prepare for a boss.

Spriggan is weak against blast so get on a wind ley spot (actually he starts on this spot, so coax him out). He’ll use Stone Bullet for about 500 HP if you’re not on an earth ley spot. Basically, have your Blast user / s go on the wind ley spot and then the others should gather on the earth lay spot to reduce damage to half and just attack. By the time you get to the wind ley spot, one blast for 1000 should end it. You’ll get a HIT Apple and then continue onward.

Go right in area 8 to get 1000 Gella and Fairy’s Feather for Avril. Continue north for the exit. Collect the gella and 2 Revive Fruit in area 9, then hit the switches in the southwest, and then the one north of it. Go to the southwest in the lower ground and hit the cart. Follow it and hit the north switch. You can now slide into the cart, get the gella and continue.

There is not much other than MP restoration squares until floor 13. You can’t get the treasure but hit all the switches so you can get the cart all the way to the crate obstacle at the end. Take the left route in area 14 and shoot the jars for a Vortex item and the exit is to the south.

Check out the Sol Niger in this last area (15). You will want to isolate it on the earth ley point to do extra damage with Blast. A Witch Badge is your reward. In the next area is a Prism Staff and Hard Denim. Further ahead is a save point.

In area 18, you’ll see some guy babbling about the VR Factor. Soon though, two Spriggan’s show up. You’ve fought them before but they seem to use Hyperion Ray a lot this time. Try to gang up on the lower left one (on the wind ley spot) so that you can get your Blast users on the Wind Ley Point. Get them on the Earth ley point and use Blast. Try to isolate the eastern Spriggan during this with one of your characters.

Your party still doesn’t have the mirror so a battle with the Professor looms. I can’t imagine you can win this without some serious leveling up or cheating. After the battle an earthquake stuns Professor and you gain the Mirror of De Soto. Leave and head for Mirapulse.

Mirapulse

As you enter, the Veruni Executioner will have none of it. Avril gets him to change his mind and Chuck will thank you. He gives you some FX Tickets, train tickets. Then he heads off but he tells you of a big city and of Greg, the big guy you’ve met.

Return to the Lightless Shaft. Since you purified the Sol Niger you can turn the Encounters off and run to area 18. Shoot the jars for Revive Fruit and Neutrino Medal. This is what you came here for, so get it and run out.

Caram Valley

Head due south of the Lightless Shaft to reach Caram Valley. The party is on their way to Laila Belle. Greg is here though and some stuff goes down so the party gets re-routed towards Gounon. Greg does join and seems to know about Johnny Appleseed.

Now that you are in a new area, some new treasures are available. A Chain Vest (x 21844 y 653), Gather Golem Part (x 147 y 621), and a Knight Badge (x 181.5 y 671) are the treasures around here. Head for the lower white mark on your map for the Wayward Path.

Wayward Path

Go through the first two floors for a scene. Shoot the crystals in area 3 to advance.

Look to the left and then right for a chest. This is no ordinary chest though. It is a Mimic. They are pretty tough as Gimmick Hand can take off about 500 damage, and their hp is pretty high. If you can manage a few blasts on the wind ley spot (Mimic should be on the Earth Ley spot) that should help quite a bit. Your reward for winning is a lot of exp and Crescendo Step. Get the 1000 gella chest in straight ahead, and then return back to the entrance and go up the ladder on the south side.

You’ll find some MP spots and a Dragon Fossil. If you take the lower path on this side through area 5 you’ll get a Lucky Card. Finally, climb the left part of area 4 to get a Heal Berry (inside the jars) and the exit to area 7.

There is a save point ahead but go left and shoot the crystal. Then go to the save point and save, then go right of it to shoot another crystal hiding behind a jar. Save and rest up as the next area has a boss.

The Ruin Guarder is stiff test as it’ll have Protect up most of the time. Having Hi Blast helped and either the Fire or Wind ley spot will do just fine as he’s weak against both. The Ruin Guarder’s Crush attack can wipe you out if you’re below 500 HP. For finishing this battle you’ll get a RES Apple.

Return back to save, then go up the area 8 ladder and left to get 51 gella and Fire. The right chest is another Mimic. Defeat it for a Spirit Saber for Avril. Up ahead for a scene and then you’ll have to shoot all three crystals fast to get the door to open.

Take a right in the new area for two more chests. One is a Bronze Moon and the other is yet another Mimic. This one yields a Black Shirt. Return, jump on the crate and continue to the two crystals. This part is a little tricky. You’ll have to shoot the crystals for a while until the door is up high enough for you to run through it (be close to it when you’re shooting the crystals).

In area 12 go right for a Gella Card. Use the other way for a Vortex and 44 gella. The other side of the room has a save point and a crystal above the door. Shoot it and go through.

There is an ugly duo waiting for you. Tarasque Gorath and Tarasque Mons are here. Obviously, Gorath takes heavy damage from the fire ley spot. Hi Blast started the battle taking off half his health (1800). Unfortunately it is easy to die in the early going when two of them are attacking you with various attacks(depending on your HP levels). Big Press can take off 500 and if they both do it then you will be in a dicey situation. The key is getting rid of Gorath as fast as possible with Hi Blast. Tarasque Mons can be killed by physical attacks.

The Sol Niger is ahead, so might as well defeat it. You’ll get a Potion Berry and full hp / mp. Take the northwest exit (you can’t use the other one with the 4 crystals) and continue on until you’re outside. Return back in for a Neutrino Medal.

Lots of new treasures in Northwest Filgaia, starting with a Dragon Fossil (x 236 y 833), Light Vest (x 379 y 764), Bronze Sun (x 437 y 733), Hydro Pressure (x 510.5 y 797), Silver Sun (x 474 y 849), Heavy Guard (x 279 y 827) and a Wing Robe (x 326 y 847).

Orsaeos Station

To the northeast as you get out, you’ll run into Orsaeos. You can’t travel anywhere here without the permission of the Veruni.

Gounon

West and a little south is Gounon. Easy to find especially if you go right away. Greg will leave you right away, so go up ahead and save.

Head up the northeast ramps and then turn south at the top. On your right you’ll see something flashing on the other side of the gate – it is a Neutrino Medal. Near the other side of town, talk to Paladienne and choose the first choice to get the Music Box. Near her is a RFX Apple. In the nearby winery you’ll learn that Johnny Appleseed is the wine they make there. Also, search the southwest corner for an ATK Apple, HIT Apple, and the northwest for a Rabbit Badge.

Go to the cemetary for a scene and then back to the winery. Talk to the first guy inside on the left, the Mayor. You get Holy Wine and an Amulet. Save and get ready to leave.

Temple of Rejection

Northeast of Gounon is the Temple of Rejection. Use the Amulet at the gate to get to area 2. Take the west path and grab the Duplicator x 3 in the area 3. Use one of the Duplicators on the blue chest near you for a Freeze Ray cartridge. Press L1 to use them and shoot the fire at the end of the room to re-open the door. In area 4, freeze the floor and save.

Get the Antidote x5 in area 5, and then rotate the middle switch twice. You’ll be in a battle with a new character on your side, Carol. The enemy is Twilight Venom and it likes to use Blast and poison on you. Poison will infect a Hex so move if you’re on that Hex. My Dean didn’t have any attack spells but if you do happen to have that sort of Medium on him, have him go on the Fire ley spot as Twilight Venom is weak against it. Grab the Dragon Fossil when you regain control. Follow the light path to area 8. Freeze the path ahead and then get the Refrigerator. In area 10, shoot the treasure above for a Lucky Card, then shoot the freeze gun at the flaming torches. Head through to the new area and get the Antidote in the jars. Continue on to floor 13.

The blue chest (duplicator use) is a Moonstone. Shoot a few of the crates so you can get up on the switch. In the next room is another duplicator chest for a Spiral Edge (rotate the middle thing twice). Rotate it left once more for a room with a Sol Niger and 3000 Gella. There are two Sol Niger bosses in that battle – try to get on the Water ley point as they are strong against Wind and Earth. The Water Ley point will do massive damage as they are weak.

Return back and rotate the middle switch twice so that the west path is open to area 16. Get the Potion Berry x3 chest and shoot the torches with the freeze ARM. Go straight ahead in this next room for 83 Gella and a Neutrino Medal.

Two scrotum bosses sneak up on you. Actually they are Water Scutum and Fire Scutum. Their weaknesses couldn’t be any more obvious. As usually this is most difficult at first. Fortunately you should start on the water ley point so if you have attack magic, start spraying the Fire Scutum with it. By the time you eliminate it you should be able to move your magicians to the Fire ley point in the northeast part.

After the battle, return to the mayor in Gounon. He has 5 Revive Fruits and a Blank Medium for you. This is really all you have to do back in town.

Orsaeos

Orsaeos is marked on your map and is a long journey east. It’s likely you’ve explored around here already. After some scenes, you get two more Blank Mediums from Chuck.

Provectas

You will end up in Provectas. Since you are now in northeast Filgaia there will be lots of treasures for you to find. The treasures include Bronze Moon (x 620 Y 86350), Dragon Fossil (x 784 y 831), Bronze Sun (x 71850 y 756), Regeneration (x 700 y 908), Protection Robe (x 758 y 627), Bad Omen (x 787 y 705), Protect (x 84450 y 705), Berserker Badge (x 762 y 68350), Stone Bullet (x 68150 y 71850), Dragon Fossil (x 78450 y 771), Silver Moon (duplicator – x 82850 y 726), Dragon Fossil (x 797 y 63750).

Laila Belle

You’ll see a scene with Nightburn. Dean will want to go to the Golem Hunter’s Guild upon entering. The guild will be right next to you when you get control. In order to join the guild you will need to go to Mithysmere to clear out some monsters. There is a Gella Card and a Red Cheeked Parrot that keeps track of your Neutrino Medals. At this point I acquired Potion Berry x3 and a Blank Medium. Go east of you upon entering for a Lucky Card and Duplicator x4. Other treasures include High Vortex, 3000 Gella, Comet Mark (duplicator), and an Attack Apple.

Once you are done exploring the city, you should save and prepare to head due south. You are looking for Mithysmere, a slum where those who can’t make it in Laila Belle end up gathering.

Mithysmere

As you enter you’ll see a save point near you. Save and continue through the north path until you get to the exit. Look to the left of it for a Mimic that drops a Dragon Fossil. Entering the new room and do a jump attack on the switch to change it.

Take the left path (going northeast) and get the gella along the way. Shoot the jars for an Antidote and then lower the bridges. You’ll see a chest so shoot it for 4500 Gella.

In area six, take the northeast path for a Nectar x3 dead end. Return back to six and go west to area ten. Here you can find a Sol Niger that halves all magic attacks. The duplicator chest is an Hourglass. Back in area six, go south to area 7. There is a Mimic that drops Brave Guard nearby. Take the southwest path and go through for Duplicator x2, 47 Gella and a Neutrino Medal (shoot the jars across the path to get the latter two). Return to area six and go northwest to area 10.

Go near the four blue flames and a boss battle ensues. There are four Lizard Man and they are weak against fire. Better yet, you’ll start off on a fire ley point. Despite the fact that there are four of them, this should be a quick battle.

Backtrack to area 4 (or lay the bridge in area 10 to make it easier) and the party will talk. Return to area 10 and the torches for another boss battle. This time it is against a real boss, Baram. All of your physical attacks will be blocked and Baram halves fire damage. The key is getting on the Water ley spot although it’s easier said than done and will take a while. Until then be sure to stay in different hexes so he doesn’t get a big 1000+ damage attack to more than one person at a time. Use hi heal to stay rested and Hi blast once you get on the water ley spot.

Laila Belle

As you get back to laila belle you’ll be right by the red-eyed receptionist. You will meet Duo and he’ll talk about the TV studio.

Go to the save bird and then to the TV Studio area for a cutscene. Sure enough, as you enter there is a boss waiting for you. Elebart is a stout enemy, but one that is weak against wind. When it charges up it will use Lightning Strike for about 1000 so heal up and guard.

Not much else you can do but run forward. Save your game and take the right path. In this area you will need to find the correct door. To do so, go north to the third row of doors, and then go all the way to the end to enter the true door. The next time, take the far northeast door.

Now save the game and take the middle path. You will need to hustle to find the lit pathway and the door. The second time you do this you can find an LVL Apple near the beginning in a jar.

Save, and in the left and final room, you will get to pick one. For the first one, choose the door near the beige little jar. The next time, go through the yellow door. Third trial will require you looking at the top of the door to go through the one with the unique picture on the top (north door). The final trial will require you to destroy the jars to find out which one has the 5 gella (east door) and go through it.

Save your game and go through the left door. Duo summons two Igoronak. Physical attacks seem to work best as most magic is halved. Rebecca especially does high damage. Nightburn is next but this is likely a boss battle you can not win.

Mithysmere

Leave Laila Belle and go south. Someone with Zopt Syndrome is here. There will be a lot of scenes and eventually Carol will join up. Not much else is new around Mithysmere although there is a Badge Synthesis shop. It requires lots of spare badges but it can really be worth your time with some valuable badges.

Memorial Sanctuary

Just a bit north and west of here is The Baskar Shrine, Memorial Sanctuary.

Go up and hit the panel. Input Dean to enter. After some scenes, go south when you gain control. In this room you can shoot a chest for 5000 Gella and one for Fire Bullets, your third ARM cartridge. Return to area 2 and shoot the two torches near the west exit to continue.

Push the block on the switch and continue west. Shoot the jars for 273 Gella. In the following room, shoot a crate and push the other onto the switch. The duplicator chest near you is a Shooting Star and another duplicator chest in area 6 (Hazel Sprig).

Save and go south for a boss in area 7. The Gigamantis is the perfect boss to use the ley change force ability. This way a wind ley spot will appear and you can do extra damage to Gigamantis (it’s weak against wind). The two Ropers in the way should not last long after a few blasts on the fire ley point. Scythe can take off a decent amount, and if you are stuck on a Disease Hex you won’t be able to cure. End the battle at the top point for a HIT Apple. Run back to save, and then continue on up the ladder. There are many torches here but four of them need to be lit with the fire bullet. Notice how the wall glyphs have light coming through them, and some don’t? You need to light the torches that are sandwiched in between lit wall glyphs. Go down the ladder and across the new bridges. Grab the Duplicator x2 chest and go through the nearby door to area 10.

Run along and shoot the jars for a Neutrino Medal and then follow the path to the exit. Look for a Gella Card in area 11. To get to the other side where the switch is, you need to use the fire gun to defrost the floating blocks.

More torches to light in area 12. Grab the Treasure Tone on the balcony of area 13. Continue to light torches and shoot through the frozen door in area 15.

To activate the elevator here, you will need to shoot three of the crystal torches with fire and one of them with ice. Go to the nearby elevator and take it up. There is a Sol Niger in this area for you to defeat. Focus on physical attacks for this battle unless you can get your FP up to 25 for a ley change tactic (you are looking for a water ley spot to do extra damage).

Thankfully you are rested up as the Plague Beetle is a few screens ahead. It’s Blade Arm takes off around 1000 damage so have Hi Heal ready. Heavy Crush can kill just about anyone with 1500+ damage. The best option for attacking is getting on the wind point and using Hi blast. 2000 damage on the wind ley spot is not uncommon, and that will help whittle down the 10000 or so HP that the Plague Beetle has.

A saved point is just up ahead. Further ahead you’ll see a flame pointing east, so follow that path. In area 17 you will have to shoot the torch with your own flame to reveal that it points south. The next torch you see will point towards the northeast wall – search it to find a secret passage.

Lots of history of Filgaia scenes coming up. You’ll meet some Baskars who are very willing to help Avril – they give you some Baskar Medicine and a Mountain Medium. Not much else to do besides talk to the Baskars and leave.

Mithysmere

If you’ve been fast enough in bring the Baskar Medicine back to Mithysmere and Pastel, you’ll be rewarded with some goodies as you leave, like Duplicator x 3, Lucky Card, Gella Card, and the Detector Cartridge. Carol talks of Honeysday and the professor maybe being there. Before leaving town, shoot the torch in the east house just as you walk in the village. A pathway opens up and a Duplicator chest awaits you, the Rapid Shirt.

Now that you have this new weapon, the Detector, you should return to Memorial Sanctuary, Area 3. There is a Lucky Card and Dragon Fossil chest if you use this in area 3. Area 11 has a Gunstar Sign.

In Laila Belle, you can get a Silver Moon for the seventh Neutrino Medal you just got.

Starlit Path

Southeast of Laila Belle is the Starlit Path. In the first area is a Refrigerator, and use the Detector in area 2 to uncover a bridge. You can find a Fire and Break in area 3.

In area 4, an Imitator is to the left of you. Hi blast on the water ley spot is your best option as usual. A Gella Card is your reward for victory, and to continue you need to light up the torch that is closest to the south wall.

In the next area, just jump across, save and enter area 7. A Sand Stag and Sand Crab are waiting for you. The crab is vulnerable to fire while the stag is weak towards water. Unfortunately they also have the ability to ley change so you may need Avril to ley change back to get the proper elements. If you can manage to camp out on both the water and fire ley spots, you should try to isolate the enemies with Shut Out. Their Giant Scissors type attacks do a decent amount of damage especially if they both target the same character. For this reason, take out the Sand Stag as soon as you can get to the Water Ley spot. The crab will be tough to bring down as Maelstrom will require healing.

Shoot the Detector off to find a switch in the middle of area 7. This open path leads to two duplicator chests, Nightmare and Silver Sun. Return and take the other path.

In floor 9 you’ll see some jars in front of you, one of which yields the Neutrino Medal. Climb a pole to get a Geo Amulet, it’s a duplicator box though. In the southwest on the upper part is another Imitator. It drops Ryan’s Shield. Take the door here for a Lucky Card and a Dog Leash (another chest too, but you can’t open it). Jump down to floor 10. Push all the crates horizontal to the altars so that when you blow one up, all of them will go and the torches will be on fire. Up ahead you can find some Medicine.

Return to area 9 and climb the northeast pole. Make sure Dean’s head hits the switch and then you can continue to area 13. Grab a Potion Berry and shoot the southeast, southwest and northeast torches. Save, hit the three switches, and don’t forget the fourth on the northeast ceiling.

The Rhinoceros is an easy boss, if you have a good strategy. Use Shut Out right away to lock the Rhinoceros away from you. Get on the fire ley spot and use Quicken and then Hi Blast. Watch out for when Shut Out ends, because if he gets close to you it may be trouble.

Another Imitator near you in area 15. Not much to it other than getting on the water ley spot and using magic on it. As you can tell, these Imitators are a lot more dangerous with their Blow Away ability. A Hazel Sprig is the reward. The Sol Niger is a tough fight too as you are up against three of them. Fortunately they are weak against Wind so get on the ley spot and start casting Hi Blast and Crush.

In area 17 you can find 312 Gella and the exit.
