Destiny of an Emperor 2 End Officers
10. The End Generals
Cao Cao’s initial defeat at Luo Castle brings on the last part of the game, which covers the deaths of Cao Cao, Cao Pi and finally Sima Yi. Victory for the sandal-weaver Liu Bei.
Cao Cao – 9800 soldiers
Str. 215 – Int. 230 – Agi. 155 – A.P. 230 – A.C. 230
TP – 300
Weapon – Sword
Land: Pln
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Ji Mian, Jie Ce, An Sha, Jie Zhen
Analysis: Finally, the end of Cao Cao. Well look, this battle isn’t easy even after the cloud burst. Cao Cao and his tacticians are the main reason why. Keep your health up and take out Cao Cao and Guo Jia as fast as you can. They can still be vicious. Liu Ye is a decent tactician but Guo Jia is the better of the two. An Sha the two dumb generals if you can/if you have it. More or less just hope there aren’t too many An Sha bombs your way and you should have them dead if your luck is true. Again, if you can axe Cao Cao or Guo Jia the battle should turn your way.
Cao Pi – 9600 soldiers
Str. 175 – Int. 190 – Agi. 195 – A.P. 240 – A.C. 240
TP – 220
Weapon – Spear
Land: Sea
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ji Mian, An Sha, Ce Fan
Analysis: Cao Pi is a solid general, but not stats over 200. Ultimately you have the firepower to take down generals like this, and assuming An Sha doesn’t get you, Cao Pi should be on his knees much quicker than Cao Cao. This battle is a notch below the last two Cao Cao battles, making it rather easy personally. Not to say Cao Pi and friends are bad, but a step below Cao Cao and Sima Yi for sure.
Chen Qun – 9000 soldiers
Str. 120 – Int. 230 – Agi. 105 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
TP – 290
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ji Mian, An Sha
Analysis: Chen Qun may be even more of a threat in this battle than Cao Pi. Chen Qun has a very high intelligence rating and at this point in the game that means An Sha. I would actually advise having your tough generals take him out first as he is more apt to succeed with the spell than Cao Pi, and by a large margin. As usual, once the main tactician goes down, so does the army. Oh, and you fight him with Zhang Liao at the boat (to Luo Yang). The two of them should be easy, but they are both solid generals so take precautions.
Dian Man – 8800 soldiers
Str. 195 – Int. 65 – Agi. 105 – A.P. 230 – A.C. 230
Weapon – Axe
Land: Mtn
Analysis: Dian Wei’s son, and very much like him. He has a high attack (although nowhere near Dian Wei’s) and also has a penchant for getting An Sha-ed. He appears in several battles towards the end, with Cao Pi at Sili citadel and the Sima brothers near Luo Yang.
Dian Wei – 9400 soldiers
Str. 230 – Int. 65 – Agi. 135 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
Weapon – Spear
Land: Mtn
Analysis: One of the strongest generals in Cao Cao’s army, I believe only behind Xu Zhu. As I stated above, strong generals like this need to be An Sha-ed (Or use high level tactics) as fast as you can because the enemy tacticians are going to attempt to do the same to your warriors. That’s why you had warriors with intelligence around 150, so they can dodge it occasionally. And that’s why Dian Wei and Xu Zhu fail, because they have Zhang Fei-intelligence.
Dong Heng – 8600 soldiers
Str. 195 – Int. 105 – Agi. 95 – A.P. 230 – A.C. 230
Weapon – Axe
Land: Mtn
Analysis: Dong Heng is another stalwart Wei warrior who you fight several times towards the end, near Luo Yang and the surrounding gates. Again, his strength is high and his intelligence only average, so try to An Sha him with Zhuge or Jiang and move on to the tacticians that accompany Dong.
Guan Suo – 9719 (med/high)
Str. 250 – Int. 160 – Agi. 135
Weapon – Saber
Land: N/A
Rank – 7 / 34
Analysis: What a shame that you get him so late in the game. When he is in your party, he is a beast. Stronger than his brother and his dad, and really not lacking much in the other departments, Guan Suo is a solid general to lead you to Luo Yang. Look for a Moon Saber (the last mountain has one, I believe) to make him unstoppable with physical attacks.
Guo Jia – 8400 soldiers
Str. 75 – Int. 230 – Agi. 50 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
TP – 290
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Ba Gua, Ce Fan
Analysis: Yet one more deadly Wei tactician. 230 is pretty high so you’re going to want to take him and Cao Cao out simultaneously to ensure the least amount of An Sha attempts possible. Even then Liu Ye or the two dumbies could lick ya while you’re busy. But Guo Jia is as dangerous as any of them even with low soldiers so kill him quick.
Guo Yi – 8600 soldiers
Str. 75 – Int. 220 – Agi. 85 – A.P. 230 – A.C. 230
TP – 260
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Ba Gua, Ce Fan
Analysis: Wei seems to spit out tacticians with 220 intelligence like nothing. He is at the first gate on the way to Luo Yang, and is the main tactician for Dian Man and Dong Heng. Take him out and An Sha the warriors.
Han Sui – 8200 soldiers
Str. 165 – Int. 135 – Agi. 75 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
TP – 120
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Da Re, Yin Xian, Feng Jian, Yi Wen, Ji Mian, Fu Sha
Analysis: As you noticed I don’t normally repeat generals although Han Sui, from the Jing Zhou area, changed pretty significantly. His stats are beefed up as are his weapons and armor, but still the main threat in the battle is Zhang Liao, or Xu Shu. You can probably all out when the three Jing Zhou generals are left.
Huang You – 8400 soldiers
Str. 90 – Int. 205 – Agi. 75 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
TP – 220
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, An Sha, Ce Fan
Analysis: Yet another tactician, albeit one just barely over 200 intelligence. He goes after you with Sima Shi and the two of them provide a dangerous tactical duo. Sima Shi is obviously the better but disregard Huang You and he may An Sha a general or two.
Jia Xu – 8600 soldiers
Str. 75 – Int. 215 – Agi. 120 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
TP – 260
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ji Mian, An Sha, Ce Fan
Analysis: Jia Xu meets you after the battle with Cao Cao in the fields. Again, another An Sha-type tactician that is not shy about using it. Wrap him up first and his followers will go down afterwards.
Jiang Xu – 8600 soldiers
Str. 170 – Int. 80 – Agi. 65 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
Weapon – Spear
Land: N/A
Analysis: Another ex-Jing Zhou general who sold out to Cao Cao. Cao Cao magically enhanced his stats and now he is actually decent, but compared to Zhang Liao and Xu Shu (and more importantly your army) he is nothing so deal with him after the big two.
Jiang Yong – 7200 soldiers
Str. 35 – Int. 160 – Agi. 85 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Da Re, Yin Xian, Yi Wen, Li Fan, Fu Sha, Xian Jing
Analysis: Nice, a non-An Sha tactician. Enjoy it, he’s certainly the minority around here. Take him out on the way to Luo Yang.
Li Zhan – 7800 soldiers
Str. 130 – Int. 110 – Agi. 90 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
Weapon – Crossbow
Land: N/A
Analysis: So this Han Zhong general joins the Cao army also, to fight you with Jia Xu. I wouldn’t be concerned although his crossbow can annoy you. Take out Jia Xu and maybe Zhang Yun before you all-out.
Liu Ye – 8200 soldiers
Str. 90 – Int. 195 – Agi. 25 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
TP – 240
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ji Mian, An Sha
Analysis: Now this Liu Ye is different than the Liu Ye in the last chapter. This one is more competent physically and an even better tactician. He fights you with Cao Cao and is the third best An Sha user in the group, at 195 intelligence. With such powerful warlords supporting him he’s going to have a few turns to potentially An Sha one of your men so be careful.
Pang De – 8600 soldiers
Str. 235 – Int. 75 – Agi. 125 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
Weapon – Spear
Land: Pln
Analysis: So this Pang De is worse than the Han Zhong Pang De you fought before Zhang Lu. However he is only lacking 35 intelligence, and he comes with tougher parties than the one you fought during the Han Zhong invasion. It goes without saying that he is more susceptible to tactics, so Ji Shi or An Sha if possible.
Sima Shi – 9600 soldiers
Str. 100 – Int. 240 – Agi. 175 – A.P. 245 – A.C. 250
TP – 260
Weapon – Spear
Land: N/A
Bai Ma, Feng Jian, Yi Wen, Jin Mo, Ba Gua, Ji Mian
Analysis: The older of the Sima brothers, Shi is one of the toughest tacticians you’ll find. Do kill him first in the battles against him, even against his brother, as his higher intelligence warrants this action on your part.
Sima Yi – 9999 soldiers
Str. 205 – Int. 250 – Agi. 210 – A.P. 250 – A.C. 255
TP – 310
Weapon – Sword
Land: Pln
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Ba Gua, Ji Mian, An Sha, Jie Zhen
Analysis: Ugg. Good luck. That stuff I was saying about Jiang Wei being the best overall character? That was the best overall character that you could control. Sima is extremely beefed up from the last one physically and agility-wise, so kill him first every time.
Do whatever you have to do, power pils or whatever. Ce Mian and Jin Xuan help, and don’t bother An Sha-ing him, it’s hopeless. He’s the main guy. Good luck.
Sima Zhao – 9400 soldiers
Str. 120 – Int. 230 – Agi. 155 – A.P. 245 – A.C. 250
TP – 280
Weapon – Saber
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Ji Mian, Jie Ce, An Sha, Jie Zhen
Analysis: Well he is the weakest strategically out of the three Sima’s but he can still An Sha you. Each Sima is a beast and should be targeted until they are dead.
Xiahou Ba – 9400 soldiers
Str. 220 – Int. 140 – Agi. 135 – A.P. 235 – A.C. 235
TP – 140
Weapon – Sword
Land: Pln
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ce Fan
Analysis: Xiahou Ba is one of the second generation generals you fight in later Wei, and he is another solid warrior who actually isn’t under 100 in intelligence. Still, use tactics to weaken him and then go on with the tacticians and Simas.
Xiahou Wei – 8800 soldiers
Str. 185 – Int. 190 – Agi. 115 – A.P. 235 – A.C. 240
TP – 180
Weapon – Spear
Land: Mtn
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Ji Mian, Jie Ce, An Sha, Jie Zhen
Analysis: Xiahou Wei is along with Xiahou Ba often in the later battles as well and he can do both, although he is more dangerous tactically. You’ll notice he’s generally the second or third guy you should go after in the Luo Yang battles.
Xu Shu – 8600 soldiers
Str. 100 – Int. 210 – Agi. 115 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
TP – 240
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Hou Shen, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, Ji Mian, An Sha, Ce Fan
Analysis: Xu Shu fights you with Zhang Liao and the Jing Zhou generals. He is a threat with that high intelligence and you’ll want to go after him after Zhang Liao is disposed of. Again, careful of the An Sha.
Xu Zhu – 9600 soldiers
Str. 240 – Int. 50 – Agi. 140 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
Weapon – Spear
Land: Pln
Analysis: The toughest general, physically, in all of Wei. You’re going to want to do something about this, it’s just a matter of whether you wait until you take out the tacticians or you can go after him right away. I’d have your two best tacticians An Sha Xu and Dian Wei, and you can then go from there.
Xun Yu – 9200 soldiers
Str. 95 – Int. 240 – Agi. 85 – A.P. 220 – A.C. 220
TP – 300
Weapon – Sword
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Ba Gua, Ce Fan
Analysis: Another deadly tactician that is along with Pang De at the gate before Cao Cao’s field battle. Now the two of them are good at what they do but you can overwhelm two-person armies. Attack Xun with all your might to make sure he only gets only chance to An Sha you.
Zhang Liao – 9400 soldiers
Str. 230 – Int. 205 – Agi. 175 – A.P. 235 – A.C. 240
TP – 240
Weapon – Saber
Land: Pln
Hou Shen, Shui Long, Ji Shi, Wan Fu, Jing Mo, An Sha
Analysis: Zhang Liao is probably the best overall general in Wei outside of Sima Yi and Cao Cao. The boat battle is not that hard, it’s only him and Chen Qun but they can An Sha you. The castle battle is tough as he has 4 generals with him but only one of them is of any consequence (Xu Shu) and you should pull through if you focus on Zhang Liao first and foremost.
Zhang Nan – 8600 soldiers
Str. 130 – Int. 95 – Agi. 75 – A.P. 200 – A.C. 200
Weapon – Sword
Land: N/A
Analysis: One more Jing Zhou general that wishes to oppose you with Zhang Liao. He is the worst of them so you can wait on him until the rest of the battle clears up and all-out.
Zhang Yun – 8600 soldiers
Str. 130 – Int. 145 – Agi. 90 – A.P. 130 – A.C. 220
TP – 120
Weapon – Crossbow
Land: Sea
Da Re, Yin Xian, Feng Jian, Yi Wen, Ji Mian, Fu Sha
Analysis: Zhang Yun is the last of the Jing Zhou generals that you encounter.
He will approach you with Jia Xu after the Cao Cao battle. I’ve always been annoyed by his crossbow attack, so you should kill him after Jia Xu.
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU REACHED THE END!
Some really tough battles at the end of Destiny of an Emperor II. Can require a lot of luck and you need to do damage quickly since your attack power and the enemy’s is so relative to how many soldiers are left.
