Destiny of an Emperor II 2 Walkthrough

 

Destiny of an Emperor 2 is a Role Playing Game for the NES that never made it stateside. It was released a few years after the original Destiny of an Emperor but was only translated to english as a Rom patch around the year 2000. It is based off Luo Guanzhong's Romance of the Three Kingdoms and tends to follow the script a little bit better than it's predecessor, although one certainly can't say Destiny of an Emperor II is accurate. You take control of Liu Bei and Shu as you fight a tremendous battle against Cao Cao of Wei.

 

 

DoaE 2 is much like the first Destiny of an Emperor although there are some changes. You can't recruit characters after you beat them at castles and gates, and instead you end up recruiting officers that actually served the Shu army. A larger selection of characters gains soldiers at each level so the choice of characters to use in battle is a lot more than the first Destiny of an Emperor.  

 

There are some caves like the Blood Seal Cave and others that are infested with enemies and tricks to figure out. Destiny of an Emperor II also has plenty of secrets that will keep veterans entertained even after completing the game several times.

 

There is the Zheng Letter Trick and other Destiny of an Emperor II Secrets.  This is where the goodness of Destiny of an Emperor II really shows itself.  With these secrets you can recruit past members that die (Pang Tong), and some of the more formidable opponents (like Lu Bu and Xiahou Dun).  And with the 64 item vault trick, you can get any character in the game more or less.

 

In addition there are Wu mods and Wei mods for those who are sick of Shu and Liu Bei's conquests.  Why not play an editted version of DoaE with the Sun's or Cao's?  Best of all, there are some crazy battles against God's in this game that are a supreme challenge to any DoaE veteran.
