August 18, 2006 at 2:09 am #15968Perhong_AngtongParticipantIt’s easy when you speak Chinese/Japanese, I speak french and english, the only thing I know to say in Chinese (Don’t know which chinese though) is "Ni Hao".
In Japanese, I can count up to 4: "Icht Ni San Shi" (Maybe it’s mispronounced, but oh well.). Also, I know two insults in japanese, which are almost similar.
"Baka" means Idiot, and "Bakane" means Imbecile.
Not sure if that helps to understand how much I’m limited for foreign languages…

August 18, 2006 at 2:36 am #15969Taishi CiParticipantI think one and two in Japanese are "Ichi" and "Ji", actually. I remember reading about how the names "Ichiro" and "Jiro" mean first son and second son, respectively.
But yes, knowing Chinese ahead of time is cheating. Maybe the Lord should have put the words in Russian or something.
August 21, 2006 at 9:09 am #15970masamuneParticipanti only know in japanese
"nii-san"(brother) is that even rite? -.-
"konichiwa"(hello), "gomene"(sorry?),

Well, yeah, I do read a bit of Chinese, but those pictures are very easy to figure out once you've played DoaE2. I wonder why this game made everyone so grumpy, though…
October 14, 2009 at 3:55 pm #15972Wei YanParticipantwell after conquering china not once but twice in DOE 1 and 2 once they got to three you could see the aggravation setting in. lol

October 14, 2009 at 7:00 pm #15973DragonAtmaModeratorOh, that's easy — there's something in the Wu water supply that causes mass copnstipation. XD
October 14, 2009 at 11:27 pm #15974LinkParticipantYeah, that's because the old man blew the mountain up with a chunk of saltpeter and dead wood.
