Suikoden: The Centennial Tapestry is the proposed translation. Probably a spinoff, but hell, I'll take another Tierkreis just to get another game with a large-scale plot, tons of likeable characters (okay, maybe just a dozen or so in that one), and the usual politicking. The mini-trailer looks pretty promising.
Unfortunately, it's for the PSP *and* a Suikoden game, so it may not be that likely to come over here.
September 22, 2011 at 8:55 pm #38818Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterAh yes, Suikoden PSP Woven Web of a Century. Not surprised the next installation in the Suikoden series is on a handheld. Surprised it's so late into the PSP's lifecycle – I do worry we won't get it, maybe 50/50 that we will. Too hard to know yet, but pretty likely that even if we don't it'll get fan translated at some point.
Still dumbfounded how Konami won't choose to go with the main storyline, or at least incorporate parts of it. Most of the main Suikoden's were entirely new games / areas anyway.
Then again, maybe it is related to the main storyline. We're just taking an educated guess at this point. Looking forward to learning more about this game.

I can wing it through most games in Japanese but it's nice to not have to spend 2 hours backtracking and talking to every single person trying to advance the story one more step.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingDecember 26, 2011 at 5:12 pm #38823NiahakModeratorWe finally got a trailer with some brief gameplay.
Looks pretty good, much better than Tierkreis. I like that the main characters don't look high school age, although they may act that way…
December 28, 2011 at 2:34 am #38824Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterI like how the battle splits are like 2 seconds long lol huohu . Oh well, it's something. Kind of reminds me of Suikoden III battle system. Early Ps2 is probably a good comp for it visually anyway.
Looks pretty cool though. Still just hoping it comes over somehow, whether through Vita or fan translation or whatever. Actually have been following the game the last week and saw some new articles. One about Suikoden PSP themes and then the other detailing some Suikoden PSP gameplay aspects.
Obviously, the psp themes thing might not be relevant for us but the gameplay page is pretty intriguing. To get certain abilities you have to use them in the past to be able to develop them in later characters – reminds me of SaGa Frontier 2 a bit (which I didn't like and / or get into much, but..).
Quote:I like that the main characters don't look high school age, although they may act that way…lol, I don't know how it could possibly be worse than the Suikoden Tierkreis characters (especially the voice overs).
