September 10, 2013 at 11:35 pm #43734sonic.penguinModeratorYes, it's THAT epic to earn 4 climbing marios…
September 11, 2013 at 2:04 pm #43736MiDKnighTModeratorHardest bug to catch we've had here. You being able to provide the log leading up to the crash was what got it. You trapped that nasty little buggie.
September 12, 2013 at 1:09 am #43737sonic.penguinModerator….I just got the last guy going first freeze bug again…. I managed to replicate it with a log file but it's a little bigger than the last one.

September 12, 2013 at 1:02 pm #43740MiDKnighTModeratorOh no – maybe this is a different flavor of the bug. Checking.
September 12, 2013 at 1:04 pm #43743MiDKnighTModeratorWhen you made the log did you use "break on bad opcode" ?
Not seeing it failing in the log.
September 12, 2013 at 1:09 pm #43744MiDKnighTModeratorI think I see what's happening. It's not going into bad code like the last freeze but this one seems to be getting caught in a forever loop. Likely because the A.I. can't find anything to do. Who is the 2nd enemy in this battle? Looks like that officer keeps trying to use "Life" but his allies are alive so it goes back to try something else. The problem is, it's not moving on and picking something else.
What does the 2nd enemy's tactic list look like? Does he have "Life" in more than one slot?
September 12, 2013 at 11:19 pm #43745sonic.penguinModeratorAll I did was use "attack" for each officer and the last officer in my formation went first. I didn't do anything special. The AI didn't go first, it was the bottom guy of my lineup.
September 12, 2013 at 11:41 pm #43746MiDKnighTModeratorThis isn't the same problem as the last "freeze". This one is an endless loop. According to the log it's the 2nd enemy that's trying to go, he's trying to cast Life but the AI doesn't let him so it goes back to pick something else but it keeps picking Life over and over. I see the problem, just need to figure out the best way to fix.
September 13, 2013 at 12:14 am #43747MiDKnighTModeratorsonic try this fix. I think this will prevent it from getting stuck in the endless loop. I won't call this a permanent fix until you can't see the problem anymore:
0x7A950:
0000A90E2082C46868E6AEE6AFE6ADBD
0062C91DF004C91ED008A9019DD0614C
50834C00800000000000000000000000
This bumps the random numbers so it eventually tries to do something else if it can't use "Life" (or whatever other tactic it can't use).
September 13, 2013 at 12:14 am #43748sonic.penguinModeratorWell, I was having some issues in Rise of Lu Bu with the life/raise tactic when used by the enemy. Essentially, whenever they used it, it was saying "failure", because from what I found they were using it on my party, but whenever I used it it targeted perfectly fine. Maybe some newer code somehow befuddled the life/raise targeting code?
September 13, 2013 at 12:18 am #43749MiDKnighTModeratorFor that one make sure your tactic tables are right. ROLB is IPS 1.2 right?
September 13, 2013 at 12:19 am #43750sonic.penguinModeratorYes, that was in ROLB, but this other bug was from Flames of Wu. But like I said, the targeting was working for the player, just not the AI. You can check the file I emailed you a few weeks ago and it has a savestate.
