Well, for some ridiculous reason, my not being a Koei employee means that it's not up to me to decide who they add. 8O
Anyway, the Yuan Shu scenario would probably be something like this:
* Anti-Dong Zhuo Coalition
* Battle with Yuan Shao
[declaration of imperial imperialhood of emperorness]
* Battle with Lu Bu
* Battle with Cao Cao & Liu Bei
* Final battle with everyone
Ending: The defeated force leaders are forced to grovel before Yuan Shu.
Wow. So the character in the bottom left who we thought is Cao Pi…is actually Sima Shi. And the other new Wei guy is Sima Zhao. The Jin Kingdom. Could be cool, interested to see how that plays out. Means likely that Jiang Wei is back, hopefully with an improved character / personality.
I forget who the new Shu girl is. Something bad. I think she's Guan Suo's wife although she's fictional…silly Koei doing whatever they can to meet their female quota.

Seriously, though, according to kongming.net, Sima Zhao was born in 211; there'll almost certainly be scenarios where Sima Shi and Sima Zhao are the real leaders of Wei.
And Jia Xu will likely get screwed once again. :(
Gotta love fictional characters. Guan Suo is fictional himself, isn't he?
Koei is just downright obsessed with Guan's clan, and Shu in general. For me it's always that there is some other character worth adding (like Ma Dai or Liao Hua, if they don't get added). Even more, if they were going to add a female, couldn't have been Lady Mi or Gan or someone else actually involved in the story? I can already imagine some of the 'storylines' for Bao Siannang. I guess the fact that she's totally made up actually is a help in being able to use her however they want.
Still, terrible choice Koei.
Regarding the Sima's, they won't be leaders of Wei. Jin is their new kingdom.

I'm sure at least one (probably Sima Shi; my instincts say he was never as good as sima zhao) will have wu zhang or he fei as the unifying second-to-last battle, though, with the final one being the crushing of the remaining cao loyalists.
Well they have said that Jin will be their own separate faction, so I think they will have ample battles (though having many battles past 234 seems ambitious unless they add a few others like Ding Feng, Lu Kang, Jiang Wei, Deng Ai, Liu Chan could all be possibilities).
One thing to keep in mind regarding musou mode stages is that it sounds like unfortunately Musou Mode will be kingdom based – like Dynasty Warriors 4. This would be an awful idea as it got so tiring having to have EVERYONE do the Yellow Turbans, Dong Zhuo, etc. It's nice with how DW3, 5, and 6 did it where characters generally only do battles they were in, so you'd get a break from some of those more repetitive stages. So this kept the battles more fresh imo.

And it's entirely possible that although the musou modes are kingdom-based, they let EVERYONE available in the battle for every team be usable, including Cao Bao, Yuan Shu, and other generics.
New Famitsu shows more characters. I'll edit in the pics here in a minute. Cai Wenji, Wang Yuanji, Zhuge Dan, and Xing Cai has been re-added. Also scans of Lu Meng, Xiahou Yuan, Da Qiao, Ling Tong, Ma Chao and Cao Cao.
Pretty sure this is the last update for a while, until the next Famitsu episode.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingGiven the dating, I'm sure that Zhong Hui and Deng Ai will show up; Zhuge Ke and/or Lu Kang will almost certainly show up, and Du Yu is also quite possible.
Hmm, I have a feeling they'll more than make up for DW6's regrettable decrease. Atma's best guess: 61 uniques.
EDIT: For those who care, Wang Yuanji was Sima Zhao's wife and the father of Jin founder Sima Yan. Cai Yan (aka Cai Wenji) was the daughter of Cai Yong and famous for being a poet and musician. And yeah, Bao Sanniang (Mei Sanniang in Kessen 2) is Guan Suo's wife. She (and Guan Suo) are listed as fictional… even though wikipedia says there's a tomb in Guangyuan that's said to be hers.
Oh, and Zhuge Dan looks far too much like Hieronymus Lex.
