ParticipantLong time no see, right? Well, I do have a few games in mind for the series I started on my Youtube channel. The series in question can be found here:

As of yet, I've shown ROTKIII, Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness, Genghis Khan I and Gemfire. I was wondering if people had any suggestions? I'm already planning on doing all the ROTK, yes, even 5, but I'm wondering what kind of obscure strategy game I might be missing on.
So yeah, if anyone has any suggestions, that'd be really appreciated!
(Off-topic, but I notice I don't get anymore e-mail feedback. I guess since the system has changed a few years ago, I stopped receiving it, but I completely forgot about it somehow…)

ModeratorMight I suggest
Destiny of an Emperor Rise of Ieyasu

or
Destiny of an Emperor Rise of Lu Bu

Ghengis Khan for SNES had a really broken battle system which kind of nerfed the game.
Lord of Darkness was also too easy by having 1 officer with 100 soldiers running around killing everyone, the game never really recruited very many soldiers, but I loved the music and portraits!

ModeratorI'm pretty sure he'll plan on sticking with official versions, at least at first.

ModeratorWell around here, we all know its official >.>

ParticipantActually, DOAE's an RPG, not a strategy game, so that wouldn't enter in it. Although I have quickly perused through the screenshots from those hacks.
And yeah, for now I'd prefer to stick to official games. I had already planned on doing Genghis Khan II on SNES.

ParticipantRTK IX has been a fair game, if not great. And RTK XII is coming out this year ( I heard rumors said this is the last ), don't forget to check them.

ModeratorRoTK XII the last? How absurd! Surely Koei has more sense than that…

ParticipantThe last on PC, IIRC.
Me not said that, just someone else.

ParticipantI'll need to get more into ROTK 1 and 2 since I've never actually finished these two even once. I just finished Nobunaga's Ambition 1 on SNES. I'll record the ending for that at a later date.

ModeratorYou should get into them! Without ROTK2 I wouldn't be a three kingdoms fan and wouldn't be posting here.

ParticipantWow, I've been playing ROTK2 yesterday, and I find it personally complicated. Is it just me, or do the enemies get bonuses? Because someone who barely had any troops somehow got 100 on 3 officers in like 2 months! And there was no harvest or tribute during that time :O

This game was so hard to survive even 1 year without dying, or even the first 5 turns if you picked a single state person. Not to mention if your ruler dies you lose the whole game.

ModeratorPerhong, which force reached those troops? Remember, the AI tends to redistribute soldiers to loyal officers early on.
