Guess we’ll be able to figure this out pretty easily with Samuel here.

Lord Yuan Shu, I can post the rest if you want. This will save you some work.
April 24, 2006 at 11:36 pm #18163Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterYes, I’d appreciate that, that would help me confirm my information as I go along.

April 25, 2006 at 4:09 am #18165SamuelParticipantI just discovered another function for Yan Dun. When someone uses it during a battle, it increases the recipient’s (user himself or one of his comrades) ability in dodging attacks. But Yan Dun does not strengthen one’s ability in evading attacks by means of tactics.
I do not use Yan Dun during battles (I am in Cai Sang heading towards Japan right now). But enemies in the Chi Bi stage may use it. When they succeed, they dodge my attacks more often. Of course, they cannot dodge every single attack. Otherwise, it will become Ji Mian.
April 25, 2006 at 4:13 am #18166Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterHm, interesting. So physical evasion in battle? I guess if you were fighting a bunch of brutes you could use that on your characters as that has a permanent effect in battle as opposed to Ji Mian which wears off. Does it seem successful to you, I mean do your guys dodge attacks quite often? I’ll have to try that, thanks again for this information I didn’t know about.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingApril 25, 2006 at 9:16 pm #18167SamuelParticipantYan Dun is much less powerful than you describe, Lord Yuan Shu. I have seen enemy generals using it even though I have never used it. But Yan Dun only causes one or two more misses from Liu Bei’s generals. You can dodge one or two, not three or more in a row. I also believe that Yan Dun will wear off like Ji Mian. In my game, Zhang Yun (Chi Bi stage) uses Yan Dun quite often. He can dodge a couple of my strikes but he cannot dodge the next flurry of attacks. The result is obvious: I kill him rather quickly.
So, Ji Mian and Ba Gua array are still more powerful than Yan Dun.
April 27, 2006 at 12:21 am #18168Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterWell I’ve finished the tactic run through, and you were right. Jing Mo and Jin Xian are switched around, but other than that it is accurate.
I noticed Jiang Wei and Zhuge Liang get every tactic except Ji Mian and An Sha.

April 27, 2006 at 12:30 am #18170Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterI assume because they are the only two to get Ce Mian (actually I’m just guessing, I don’t actually know that).
