I was wondering what Media.Vision (Wild Arms! And [almost] *only* Wild Arms!) was up to. Apparently they decided that Fantasy-West and more recently West-West /Future-West / Post-apoc-West was entirely too boring.
Even though I've been following RPGamer a while, this was the first I'd heard of this game. And I don't know whether to be horrified or entertained.
I like the style. Looks Dragon Warrior-ish. Did it say which system?

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingIt's for DS.
XSeed of many-good-rpgs fame has announced they're localizing it as "Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road" sometime this fall.
This is all rather sudden. I wonder how it will do over here.
You'd think good since the Wizard of Oz has a decent following. We'll see how that translates to RPG's though…but I could see it doing reasonably well.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingGot my hands on the Japanese copy of RIZ-ZOAWD *Play Asia* . Haven't done much besides watch the opening, but wow, impressive graphics. I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately for DS games I've been playing but RIZ-ZOAWD might take the cake (well, not Devil Survivor, pretty ordinary there). This game is beautiful though. When I get a chance to play more I'll post some screens here and get started on a walkthrough on the main part of lordyuanshu.com

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingThis game intrigues me only because composition work was done by Michiko Naruke (Wild Arms). I heard Yasunori Mitsuda (CT, Chrono Cross, Xenogears) did some composition work on it too, but I can't confirm that.
Interesting…I suppose that makes sense considering Media.Vision is involved.
I have heard good things of the music though in JPN reviews – along with the visuals, it does a good job of bringing the Wizard of Oz feel, I can tell that already…
