Lu Fan

Destiny of an Emperor

165 - 229

Historical Analysis: Born in Ru Nan, Lu Fan served Yuan Shu for a time. However most of his years were spent in the service of Wu, where he was a top advisor.

Lu Fan was fond of Sun Ce and worried when he passed, as he thought less of Sun Quan. He aided Wu for several years, as a Major-General at the battle of Chi Bi, Governor of Jian Ye, and even Commander-in-Chief. Unfortunately he passed shortly after this, in the year 229.

Destiny of an Emperor : Str. 76 - Int. 161 - Soldiers - 817

Destiny of an Emperor Analysis: Lu Fan is a top general in Yuan Shu's army. He is a tactician above all else, and his high soldier count is very tough to take down. Fortunately, when the computer controls him, he tends to cast pointless spells like Shui Jian several times. Overall this battle isn't too difficult and Lu Fan is probably the most feeble of the four generals that face you. If you come across him in random battles, do give him a try in combat. His 817 soldiers are especially useful as that is far and away more than anyone you have at this point in time. He is pretty weak with a 76 strength but his intelligence is 161 which isn't bad. He'll hang around for a while and then be displaced if you happen to pick him up at all.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms III : Int. 72 - Pol. 76 - War 30 - Chrm. 75 - Army 25 - Navy 19

Unfortunately for Yuan Shu fans, Lu Fan does not fight on his side in this game. Or at least he is not set up to; he'll be loyal to Yuan Shu if he comes across him. Generally though, he comes out of Shou Chun in the mid-190's, and in later scenarios he is fighting for the Wu army until he dies. Lu Fan is very weak physically, but he is a very good Civil Officer to have. Again, he favors the Wu kingdom, so he tends to be loyal to the rulers in the south.

Thanks to the Three Kingdoms novel
