Start The Answer and you will be warned that the gameplay is harder in FES Answer than Persona 3 FES Journey, and that you should play The Journey before The Answer.
Watch a scene and the game begins on 3 / 31 Wednesday, with Yukari calling Fuuka. The group sans Akihiko and Yukari meet up at the dorm for one last night of Sushi. But they are attacked by a strange presence, and you take control of Aigis to face Metis. Just use regular attacks to keep your HP up, and use Medicine when need be. Aigis gets 11003 EXP for winning. Athena also metamorphoses into Orpheus.
You are still controlling Aigis and you find yourself in the velvet room now. You acquire the Velvet Key from Igor and Elizabeth.
Back at the dorm you learn from sister Metis that the Abyss of Time is caused the time to skip and March 31st to repeat itself.
Eventually you gain control of Aigis as commander, and can choose the other three members to join with. Metis fights with an Axe and uses Garu skills. As you choose your party and go down the stairs, you will see a bunch of doors.
The main hero enters the Malebolge door. Follow him and enter the Malebolge. Monsters are within so you’ll start right where you left off in Persona 3. Aigis has an upgraded version of Orpheus available for her to use.
As you get to Floor 7 of the Malebolge (and you are going down) you will reach a save point and a warp back. The next floor you will immediately fight three Visceral Maya’s and also an Immortal Gigas. It may seem like a simple battle but with the big Gigas there, it is not. You will want to use Agi attacks on the Visceral Maya and Wind / Garu attacks on the Gigas. Beware though as both enemies have Dodge Fire / Dodge Wind respectively. You may also wish to charm the Gigas with Marin Karin or Sexy Dance from Narcissus’ arsenal. Grab the Bead x3 and Balm of Life x2 treasures and hit the center door. You now have a door that leads to the second part of the Malebolge, so go back to rest and save, and then head back to Floor 8 of the Malebolge.
Next area you will be looking to reach is Floor 14 and then you’ll see a big door next. This is the first ‘goal’. Metis shows you what is through the door. Within this enclosed Paulownia Mall, you can buy stuff from the shops. Most of the weapons, armor and so on will be too expensive for you at this point, but now you at least have access to it.
Junpei and Koromaru are now available for use. Back down into the Abyss of Time to see that Malebolge is finished and the Cocytus door is lit up. You must now enter it.Monsters are more difficult here as you would imagine. You again need to work your way to Floor 8 of Cocytus and then you can save. You will be coming up to a Brilliant Cyclops. He likes to use Mabufula so it may be trouble if you bring Akihiko. Having Junpei around for Kill Rush helps since Brilliant Cyclops has no weakness. Make sure you have a Persona equipped to Aigis that nullifies Ice damage, also. Maybe the biggest issue in this fight is the Soul Dancers that are summoned because they use Diarama on Brilliant Cyclops. Worse yet the Soul Dancers have a ridiculous amount of HP for a regular enemy so it takes a while to keep them down. If you have a persona with Ice nullified you probably have Bufu spells at your disposal so use those to keep the Soul Dancers off guard. Your reward is 5031 EXP and Broken Wheel x1. Also grab Homunculus x2 and Bead Chain x2 before you take the nearby door.
Now you can go lower than Floor 9 in Cocytus. You will reach the final depths of Cocytus on Floor 15 and you can then use the big door to go back to the Desert of Doors. Then you see a scene with Ken Amada at the police station.
Next available area is Caina. You can also plug Mitsuru into your lineup, as all the previous characters are accessible for you to use. Make your way to just the Sixth Floor of Caina to find a save point.
Up ahead are a few more sub-bosses, two El Dorado Beasts and a Death Castle. With the Eldorado Beast you will want to use bufu spells, but they do have Dodge Ice. For this you definitely want Mitsuru for her Bufula to keep the El Dorado Beasts at bay. The only spell that works on the Death Castle is Zio. Fortunately Metis came along and got a few criticals with Fatal End to knock down the Death Castle, and the group attacks help to put them away because the Death Castle will abuse the Mediarama spell when it is near death. 6553 EXP and Shining Beard x2 are your rewards for this battle. Also you can grab Magic Mirror x2 and Bead Chain x2.
Return to the Desert of Doors to rest and save. Return to the second part of Caina. From the 7th Floor you are to go to the 13th Floor to reach a second sub-boss. The dancer is not weak against anything and will absorb Bufu attacks (and likes to use Maragion or Poison Mist). The Merciless Maya can be controlled with Garu spells and this is good, because otherwise they will put up magic reflect shields that can be cumbersome, since most of the damage you’ll do here is with Mazionga, Maragion, Garula, etc. If you can manage to get Saki Mitama to level 41 you can have Mediarama to use with Aigis to make the battle easier (and the upcoming ones). 7585 EXP and an Ebon Heart are your rewards. Be sure to grab Attack Mirror x2 and Precious Egg x1.
Reach Floor 20 in Caina and you will see a scene with Akihiko and Mitsuru, back in the day.
Next area is Antenora, the fourth door. The battles get even tougher so you’ll want to save often as you make your way through. This area is long too, as you need to reach Floor 9 before you can save and encounter a boss. You are facing a versatile group of bosses, with an Ice Raven, Brave Wheel and Judgement Sword. The Ice Raven uses Bufula, Fire Break, and is weak against fire. The Brave Wheel is weak against Bufu but uses Agi attacks. The last and slowest enemy is Judgement Sword, which is weak against Garula but uses high powered Zio attacks. For you the key is to bring a balanced party, and definitely bring Koromaru. He has no weaknesses, and his Agidyne can make short work of both the Judgement Sword and the Raven. The problem with this battle is the Brave Wheel has Evade Ice and Ice Raven has Evade Fire. Thus hitting them with their weakness is less consistent than you would like, but still these enemies are not that tough. Your reward is 9081 EXP, Thunder Element, Fire Element, Ice Element, Bead Chain x3 and Precious Egg x2.
Take the Door to the Desert of Doors, and save. Then return to the second Antenora door to reach Floor 10 again, to continue down.
Travel to Floor 19 now for the next save point. You will have a Shouting Tiara, Primitive Idol and a Wrathful Book to deal with. The Shouting Tiara is weak against Bufu skills, and the Wrathful Book is weak against Agi. The Primitive Idol meanwhile is weak against Zio skills. This is one of the easier battles, since the enemies are basically the same as the group before having multiple elemental strengths / weaknesses. Black Frost works well, as he is strong against Fire / Bufu but can use both of them as well. If you get in just one group attack, you should have these guys down quickly. 10351 EXP is your reward, as are the Throne of Ruin, Traesto Gem x2, and Soma x1.
Now that you are on the 20th Floor, take the door to return to the Desert of Doors. You need to reach Floor 25 to get to the end of Antenora. You will see a Junpei scene.
Back at the Desert of Doors, the Ptolomea area is now open. You only need to reach Floor 7 to get to the save point here. Three more enemies, a Wondrous Magus, Crying Table and Cowardly Maya. The Crying Table is weak against Bufu. Wondrous Magus is weak against Agi skills. As is the Cowardly Maya. The Cowardly Maya though will use Re Patra to pick them back up. The Wondrous Magus will trounce you if you let them Mind Charge and then spam -Dyne spells. Thus having Koromaru, Junpei or both to knock these two enemies down is a must. For your troubles you get 12081 EXP, Burning Grail, Homunculus x2, and Balm of Life x2.
You are on Floor 8 of Ptolomea, so take the door out to save. Floor 16 you will see that strange shadowy character running by again. Save your game and go on if you feel prepared.
Ptolomea Floor 16 has a huge Minotaur type creature waiting for you. Sure enough it is a Neo Minotaur. This guy will make you mad and likely will wipe you out several times with Akasha Arts and or Vicious Strike. And once you start to get him close to death, he will pull out a Magarula on you. There are a few strategies you can use to survive here. You can expend the 2 or so Attack Mirrors you have found and hope he uses his Akasha Arts / Vicious Strike then. However I just focused on keeping my Hit / evasion rate up for the entire party, and just hope that Neo Minotaur uses Revolution (or use it yourself) so you can get critical hits. Then you can turn the battle into a critical hit / group attack fest, and if you’re smart you’ll choose Stand By and relent if it is close to his turn, so he wastes a turn getting up (much like fighting the Reaper). You will probably die a lot, but the good thing is you will die quickly and when you get that time when he uses Revolution early on, you need to capitalize. 13407 EXP, Scarlet Choker, Magic Mirror x2 and Soma x1 are your well-deserved rewards. Take this Floor 17 door to the Desert of Doors to save your quest.
Back to the third Ptolomea Door to take you to Floor 17, and then continue downward. You will need to reach Floor 25 to reach the end, with a Mitsuru scene.
Judecca is the next area in the Desert of Doors that you must enter. You are looking for the Floor 7 save point, and then you can go down for more bosses.
This is a scary threesome on Floor 8 of Judecca. You have two Slaughter Drives and a Spastic Turret. As you might have guessed, the Slaughter Drives are weak against lightning / Zio tactics. They mostly have physical attacks, and they do put up magical reflects as well. The turret likes to Mind Charge and use Maragidyne, and is weak against Bufu tactics. Both do a good job of evading these weaknesses though. Also, the Spastic Turret will summon more Slaughter Drives if you defeat them, so try to leave one of them alive so you don’t keep killing them over and over. I like to bring Mitsuru to this fight despite being weak against Fire since she is good with Bufu, plus I had an Eye of Fire (or you could just bring Metis). Obviously bring Akihiko or Ken under Knock Down to keep the Slaughter Drives down. Your reward is 15612 EXP, Infernal Armor, Attack Mirror x2 and Precious Egg x1.
Take the Judecca Floor 8 door back to the Desert of Doors to rest up and save. You need to make your way to the 16th Floor of Judecca to find the next save point and Floor 17 for some more crazy bosses. First, a Conceited Maya shows up. Alone it is not that bad, but the battle really begins once he summons two Jotuns of Blood. The Jotun of Blood will use Maziodyne, Magarudyne, Bufudyne, and so on. It is useful to have the Ken / Koromaru types with no elemental weaknesses because Yukari / Akihiko / Mitsuru will have trouble here unless you have an Eye of Fire, Eye of Ice, etc to cover up their weakness. For the first few turns the Conceited Maya may try to attack you so just use Full Assault to pummel him with -Dyne spells.
With the Jotun’s of Blood you will need to rely on physical attacks. If you have a weapon that causes panic take advantage of that to get critical hits on the Jotun’s of Blood. You get 16935 EXP, Bloody Horse, Precious Egg x1, and Soma x1.
The 17th Floor Door to the Desert of Doors is in front of you, so go back and save. You will need to make it to Floor 25 to reach the end of Judecca, and you will see a Yukari scene. All of these scenes are when the Persona gets awakened.
There is one last area to run through in the Desert of Doors – Empyrean. The shadows here are as tough as ever, and the flashing pink enemies are near impossible should you should to mess with them. You are to reach Floor 8 of Empyrean to get to the save point, and Floor 9 has the next set of bosses.
Up ahead on Floor 9 are two Acheron Seekers and a Rebellious Cyclops. The Acheron Seekers are weak against Agi skills and Zio skills. Unfortunately they will evade those tactics at ridiculous rates (Zio / Agi spells work 20% of the time it seems). Don’t bother with Bufu or Garu skills here. For a party, do not bring Ken or Koromaru. The Acheron Seekers will use Hamaon or Mudoon until each of them are dead. Instead, bring Yukari because of her Garu strengths and he Mediarama / Recarm ability’s (have her be a healer). Junpei with a Storm Ring or Eye of Wind is a helpful addition, as on Knock Down he may get the Acheron Seekers with Agidyne. Akihiko was the other member for his Zio ability’s. As for Aigis, I found that Odin really made the difference. Of course I needed the Storm Ring for her then to protect against Garu, but Thunder Reign takes off a ton of damage on the Rebellious Cyclops and will shock it – if you have a character going afterwards, regular attack the Cyclops for a critical hit. This would be an easy way to get a group attack but it’s unlikely you’ll hit both of those Acheron Seekers with a spell they are weak against. Still, you can get the Rebellious Cyclops out of the picture you won’t have to worry about Power Charge / Vorpal Blade. The Acheron Seekers really are not too bad if you have defense for Magarudyne and Maragidyne. Take your 19135 EXP, All-Seeing Eye x2, Soma x1 and Precious Egg x2.
You are on Empyrean Floor 9 so take the middle door to the Desert of Doors. You have to make your way to Floor 18 for the next save point, and then three more bosses on Floor 19.
A Tenjin Musha, Kaiden Musha, and Onnen Musha. This is another battle where Thunder Reign / Odin is your friend, though the Onnen Musha absorbs Zio skills. The Onnen Musha is very easy to defeat with a very low HP total, though it still has some formidable attacks. Your biggest worry is a critical hit from a slash-all attack, especially if your defense has been lowered. Also when you use Thunder Reign you may find it is difficult to get your other members to physically attack the shocked enemies to knock them down. Fortunately Thunder Reign takes off enough as it is, so if you can just survive a few rounds (have Yukari around for Mediarahan) you should be able to take out one of the two tougher Musha’s (Kaiden Musha / Tenjin Musha) to simplify the battle from that point forward. 19659 EXP is your reward, along with White Quillon, Black Quillon, and Red Quillon. Also grab Soma x2 and Balm of Life x5, before taking the door back to the Desert of Doors.
After you have saved, return back to Floor 19 of Empyrean. You will need to travel to Floor 26 to reach the next save point, and you will be at the deepest part of the Abyss of Time now.
Out of no where, your regrets take form of the Main Hero from The Journey, but he is darkened and almost looks zombie like. He will use Aigis’ Persona, Athena, and the other Personae from your other active characters. ??? has a ton of HP and will not get shocked from Thunder Reign unfortunately. Expect a long drawn out battle with that high HP, and he’ll use dangerous high level attack magic like Ragnarok and Niflheim. For defeating the evil version of the hero, you get 8178 EXP and then watch the scene.
You will get Key of Time for each character, but then everyone begins to argue about whether or not to go to the past or continue on in the present.
Save your game and then talk to Metis to go to the coliseum. You will team with Metis here and your first bout is against Ken and Akihiko. Akihiko is not weak to Ice as you may think but of course is strong with Zio skills. Akihiko likes to use Masukunda and Ken likes to put up shields. Use the Thunder Reign strategy to take out Ken and then you’ll have a two on one advantage to overwhelm Akihiko. Careful though, as Akihiko will use Power Charge to smash one of you to oblivion if you do not have an Attack Mirror. 9980 EXP is your reward.
You will be back at the lounge so you can save and fuse Personae. Go back down and enter the Colosseo Purgatorio door. You will find Junpei and Koromaru waiting this time. This battle was much more difficult for me than the previous one. Part of the reason for this was the first few times, I tried to take out Koromaru first, but he dodged my Thunder Reign skill several times. Junpei was an easier target. If these two are in attack mode with Maragidyne, or if Junpei is using Power Charge – Vorpal Blade, you may need to bust out some Attack Mirrors until only one of them is left. Koromaru likes to increase your ailment susceptibility and then get you in Panic mode. Or he’ll use up your Homunculus by using Mudoon. For defeating these two you get 9981 EXP.
One more match to go. Just Yukari and Mitsuru. The first time playing through I lucked out, using Thunder Reign on Yukari, then Metis got a critical hit on both of them. Yukari got off a Tarukaja and that was it, going down the next round. If your playthrough does not go as well, it may be because of Mitsuru’s Sexy Dance, if it charms both members especially. Her Angelic Grace can allow her to dodge tactics too. For defeating the ladies, you get 9981 EXP again.
You then gain Fuuka’s key. And then the True Key. Time to go back to the Paulownia Mall door to see what happened. It seems the final battle will be fought in the middle of the Desert of Doors, so return back and choose / prepare your final group.
Time to enter the Final Door. Your final boss for Persona 3 FES is here, Erebus. Erebus is a two headed monster shadow, symbolizing all the thoughts about death that mankind has been harboring.
You will notice your spells take off such a low amount, but Erebus is not strong against anything in particular besides the obvious Mudo / Hama. Like Nyx, you cannot knock Erebus down to the ground. As for attacks, Erebus likes to use Maragidyne, Agidyne, Ziodyne, Almighty Attack, etc. Erebus will also pull out a Dark Embrace attack to bring up an evil red eye. Your physical attacks take off even less now, but your magic attacks are back up to normal attack power. You need to bombard it with attacks here so it’s attack is stopped. When it retracts this eye, it will not be able to move. It’s defense is now down a great deal, for one turn.
Enjoy the ending as the entire party finds itself in the Velvet Room.
thks

lol.this is easy.finished this game in 1 day..a total of 28 hours.i guess 1 day and 4 hours.lol.just level ur characters.and..easier, u shud gain much money and buy the new eqpments on the store for better leveling.and just rush the battle when leveling.coz for me its much easier.my party since the beginning wat metis mitsuru and junpei.metis and junpei can whack all the enemies easily even if u rush the battle when leveling.it helps.just dont get tired of leveling.and when the experience u gain on leveling is too low.thats the sign that ur level is sufficient on the boss..and be sure to use the ryt starategy.i commonly used asign target on every boss and finding the weakness or some times knock down.and let mitsuru and me sometimes be the support for metis and junpei
just pm me if any of you want help.coz this game is REALY GOOD.and at the near end of the game..most of the cutscenes and conversations will REALY GIVE YOU THE CHILLS.lol.nice game, way better than p4.but p4 has better social links.but p3 fes story line is way better than p4..well. i guess thats what makes them equal

Help!!! They boss at 9th floor of Empyrean are driving me crazy…….FYI I had Mitsuru,Akihiko and Metis on my Team….I don’t want to change them since I’ve trained them since the first door except for Mitsuru..I trained her when She was available..And Both of them are totally USELESS on that boss…Since Metis is stupid enough to use Garu/Bufu skills on The Seekers and Mitsuru couldn’t do anything except normal attacks.
anybody know the cheat if know let me know
How to start The ANSWER? I just finished the game. . .
how big ur..?
:)
Ummmm what about persona 3 was great? The 2-D characters that have little to no personality aside from koromaru the dog and characters outside of the ones you risk your life with daily, the lousy AI that uses diarahan instead of mediarahan if atleast 3 characters arent at a very specific percentage, the removal of guarding and or was the snail pace at which the story actually develops? I have played every single persona game available and I gotta be honest this is pretty much the worst one. Why would you let 3/4 moves be controlled by a computer? You might as well watch a let’s play you’ll only lose one turn in those mindless battles you constantly have to do to have a chance half of the time. I also have to ask you wtf do you mean you liked the story? What story? The story was a blue haired orphan got off a train, shot himself in the head with a gun, had crazy super powers and for ten months he fought 10 or so plot relevant battles. In the end you never find out the deal with the kirijo group involving strega. I’m gonna leave this message board with the phrase “Moonless Gown” Yeah you should be able to figure out why that phrase is important because its a repel all shield that your teammates will actively attack unless you micromanage the crap out of them PROVIDED you get back to the tactics menu before they attack. It just blows my mind the they F***ed up both remakes of the game. You see there children Persona 3 FES came with an extended epilogue called The Answer that contained a sizable chunk of new story elements HOWEVER they did not add guard or allow you to control your teammates moves. Boom the response to bad game play was Persona 3 Portable New story elements, addressed gameplay issues, new female playthrough option and just when you thought they had finally gotten a successful remake they destroy your hope and remove The Answer. *Clap Clap* Good job Atlus, nice to see you’re taking lessons on extorting money from your buddies at Capcom.
I just want to add that I do not hate this game at all. I don’t want to be considered a troll by anyone who may stumble upon this in the future. I think that the parts of the game with Aigis are very gripping but you have to admit the game almost traps you into picking her as your love interest based upon that ending and the fact she has such solid rich character development opposed to the lazy “I hate my mom cause my Dad died and she dates guys now” with Yukari. When you play this game you’ll either absolutely love it or you might see that it doesn’t hold up too well comparatively to other games of the series or in the SMT universe as a whole. *Spoilers* This game features one of the most powerful main character deaths ever considering the game has the momento mori right in the opening signifying you will die be it on the battle field, right after the sealing, or a few months after which seemed… a little too long personally I think a few days after would have made far more sense but they had to do it for plot convenience during the graduation scene. I have a lot of criticism for this game yes, this is probably because I started with four first then worked my way up from 1 to 2 to three (By the way one is garbage and I highly recommend that you not get it if you don’t want to deal with enemies with weaknesses that aren’t weaknesses…you’ll know what I mean if you play it” Over all persona 3 for me gets a 7 out of 10 because hell it still has a strong strong morale message at the end and once you get past the more blandish middle sections the sub plots are pretty freaking cool. P.S Persona 1 gets a 6 because i have to take into account its creativity for its time but the gameplay and story are pretty thrown hastily together like most games during its time although its sound track was flawless and I may bump it up to a 7 because it did have alternate allies and endings to the game. Persona 2 IS Gets an 8 and persona 4 gets a 9 for beautiful musical score, interesting yet not to rushed intro, better characters, like 5 different endings, and the underlying suspense that if you do not hurry the victim inside the tv will be brutally murdered and strung up on a telephone pole was far better training up to ungodly levels to get moderately good skills every month…
It was an okay game. Not great but it was intriguing at parts. Middle part is definitely dry.
Being able to control your characters in 4 makes it too easy. I always looked at it as an artificial way to ramp up the difficulty for Persona 3, and it worked. Yes it was annoying at times and random based on what your characters would do at crucial moments, but you had to grow to understand their AI and take calculated risks. More importantly it made the game harder which imo is always better. Kind of reminds me of Dragon Warrior IV being able to only control the Hero and the AI controls your allies. Annoying but fun and realistic at the same time. Also speeds up the gameplay. But yea, I didn’t think P3 was the greatest thing ever or anything. Solid 8/10.
Callate gringo de mrda seguro pensás que geisona 5 es buen juego anda a chuparme bien la pija
How do you fuse odin? What persona that you bring to the ??? Battle, VS S.E.E.S member, and Erebus ?
