Time for yet another plane shift, and afterward we are greeted from the Joint Project. A beautiful, trash-infested Sector looms. Sector D, code named Delphinus. New Main Mission: Delphinus’s Rosetta has been accepted.
The group is interrupted by sickbay. It is Zoe. Turns out that the Commander is gone. Yes, Commander Gore. Of course this is important so new Main Mission: Inquiry into Commander Gore’s Body has begun.
To the lab to give Irving that Stomach Acid forma. Should have a few new Sub-Apps available; HP Recover II, MP Recover I, Nurse, and some Friend sub-apps (relating to demon negotiating).
You can see the formula to fuse Horkos is not too difficult especially if you are Chaos. You need Macabre, Doppelganger and Momunofu. The bigger problem is you need to be level 33 to fuse Horkos and your main character won’t be level 33 for a while. So we can fuse Horkos later.
Onto Delphinus Sector Code D. North and then east and south. Follow this long path until you reach Bead x2. Now head north for a REALLY long time, taking the DF Delphite x1 forma along the way. Another treasure in the more open area, this time a Tetraja Stone x1. West for another long passage that leads to Life Stone x5. South for another forma after a ways, White Core x2. Treasure in here, a Dis-Stone x2 and a Strike Team member that doesn’t like First Lieutenant Zelenin.
Return back to the entrance and go up the stairs. Zelenin is in trouble. Want to do the ‘right’ thing and save her? Or tell her to do it herself? In this room you can see a Terminal just north of you, and you can go west to see some water. It pushes you back and you cannot go that route. Head straight east and the water takes you southeast to Fallen Rattle x1 and also an AT Delphite x1. If you take the southeast path here, you get dumped off in a pit and back to 1F. So take the southwest path, and then go north through a door. A Poison Gas x1 treasure is ahead. Northwest in the corner to find DF Delphite x2. There is also a dead crewman in here.
Further west via that water route. If you try to go west again via the water, you will be blocked. If you head all the way north, you will take the water back to the entrance. So instead take the middle-west path and you will get to the western part of 2F. A plethora of routes to take here. We’ll start with the south-most route. It slides you south and you can then go west for a Bead Chain x1 and then east for a river that takes you back to the previous split. Take the middle-west path again to get back to the west end of 2F. This time take the path just southwest of that previous south-path. This leads to Chakra Core x2 forma and an AT Delphite x2 forma north of that. Take the water ahead to go in the pit. You will then have to backtrack to that big split on the west end of 2F.
Take the northwest route this time, through a door. The northwest path takes you through water and to that same pit you were just at. The other north pit just east of that will take you to a pit too. So, scan the wall just east of you and go through the door. Follow the river and look north for stairs going up. If you take them and go south, you see Jimenez who bitches at you and tells you to leave. You can search the rest of this area for a White Core x4 forma and a few big, empty rooms.
Back downstairs to 2F. East and south for a Terminal and the room where Zelenin is. But first, take the water route east. Go north when you can for Chakra Drop x2 treasure. South leads to another pit via water. Head to the Terminal and save. Might just want to return to rest up. You should probably be able to get the Luna Knife (50 attack 1 hit) and the Randall (23 attack 1-4 attacks + Flame Shot). Anyway, return to that Terminal right by the Zelenin room. You will have two Wilder Nue’s to beat and two Haunt Ghoul‘s. Use Flame on the Ghoul’s and wind on the Wilder Nue’s. Nothing difficult here though these enemies have a ton of hit points.
Zelenin will finish up her observation duties and then will ask you to head to the third floor. Try her experiment, but it will fail. Zelenin did find a Passage Jewel however. As you are here, the Bugaboo demon comes by and calls for you to come to Jimenez. He is freaking out and starts a battle. In case you haven’t noticed, something in this area is controlling the consciousness of several crewmen and forcing them to be jerks. Arthur says for all the non-infected crewmen to head back to the Red Sprite ship.
It seems about 10% of the crewmen are infected with these unknown illnesses. Unfortunately, we see the crew members that are infected fighting each other. After analysis of some of the infected, we learn that there is nothing physically wrong but they are mentally abnormal. Arthur suggests use of the MK Gun. If you remember back in Bootes Sector, Norris was afflicted with a similar disease. We are now labeling this current disease as the Delphinus Parasite. New Main Mission: Treatment Development.
Head to the lab to give Irving the Passage Jewel. The gate search function has been enhanced once more. We now can use Gate Search B. Also before going I was able to purchase the Manshonyaga gun, a machine gun that hits all enemies and is a little stronger than the Randall.
Bootes Sector
Return to Bootes Sector, and you will see angel Mastema as you arrive. Mastema alludes to the fact that these may be ‘Chaos’ based allies which would back up the reckless Jimenez’s condition. Ahead Mastema then asks you a question that is alignment-altering.
Talk to Melchom right by the Bootes entrance. He has a new EX Mission: Melchom’s task II. To complete Melchom’s second task you just need Chakra Pot x2. I had three at the time so I just did it. EX Mission Melcom’s task II is then completed. Your reward is 15000 Macca.
Time to get checking the Gate Search type b doors. There is one right in that northwest corner that leads into the Bootes Palace, but just to a dead end. Grab the DF Bootite x1 forma to the west of this gate b entrance, and then south for Ag Incense x1 and Vi Incense x1. Now go to the northeast part of Bootes (outside of the palace). Another Gate search type B to go through. There should be a Beast Hoof x1 forma just east of you and a St Incense x1 southeast of that. Northeast for a Ma Incense x1 and explore the rest; dead ends all around.
Return to the Bootes Palace entrance. Head to the north part of the palace on 1F, and then go south down that middle route to the elevator. A demon will mention that Tyrant Mitra did in fact have an experiment going on to make human’s go mad, and the demon then mentions something about cleaning the 8th floor. So take that elevator to 5F and then 8F.
On 8F in the Bootes Palace, you can see two ‘hidden’ doors to the north (one going west and the other east). Take the northeast secret passage and then go northeast for 3000 macca. Just west of this is a room full of treasures, but wait a second. First go to the far south for Soma Drop x1 and Bead Chain x3. Back to that treasure room in the northwest. There is a strangely decorated red crystal that comes up. Mastema comes in. Evidently the placard means Madman’s Stone. The name Asura is brought up, then Mastema leaves.
Back at the Red Sprite, bring your findings to Irving. With the Madman’s Stone, Irving is able to forge the MK Gun. Bring it to the Treatment area of Sickbay to see if the gun works. It shows the weird virus upon shooting the person with the MK Gun. Seems it is working. Main Mission: Treatment Development is now complete. Time to find the Strike Team members of Delphinus and restore their minds. New Main Mission: Delphinus Parasite Treatment has been accepted.
Delphinus Sector
Start off by heading west on 1F. In the southwestern corner is a man in need of a MK Gun shot. The man then comes to his senses and thanks you. The guy is nice enough to give you a Demonica Code though it is a Demon in the high 30’s for level so you will not be able to utilize it for a while. Back to the beginning of 1F. You can now scan through these two walls east and west of the staircase. Take the northwest door first and wrap around south for a Revival Bead x2 chest. Continue west through a door here and you will come to another door leading to the Vampire Kudlak. Kudlak talks about Kresnik andhow he wants Kresnik to suffer. Then mentions the Pest Crop and that it would be nice if you could find it. New EX Mission; Find a sickle called Pest Crop.
Now go just east of this room through the other hidden door. You will explore and find Kresnik. He wants to defeat the vampire Kudlak but needs the Hawthorn Spear. Accept the mission if you wish – new EX Mission: Hawthorn Spear needed. So which of these two will we help? For the time being, might as well rest up and re-enter Delphinus, and head for 2F.
We can now head straight north and use the Gate Search type B to go through that door. This just gets us to the staircase to level 3F faster, but go back south and take the east water route. This should take you to another crazy Strike Team member, so shoot him and he’ll be fine. He has a Soma Drop x1 for your reward. Time to head to 3F. Shoot Jimenez as soon as you see him, though Bugaboo will try to ‘protect’ him.
Back at Red Sprite, Main Mission: Delphinus Parasite Treatment is complete. Time to head back into Delphinus. Go to 2F and as we do, something on the radar pops up in the empty room just northeast of the stairs. Since you can go north through that door, quickly head over there and rest up. Equip the Randall since these enemies ahead are weak against Fire (Flame Shot). Then enter.
Two enemies are within, Spirit Formless. They seem to be what have been getting inside of crewmen’s heads. These things have a ton of HP so focus on one first; they will mostly use Status Ailments to annoy you. Anyway, Flame Shot does 100+ damage plus the group melee afterward. A decent amount of EXP is your reward, and then this shapeless demon heads out. Arthur still has little information about this entity but does assume that it is related to the Delphinus Parasite we just cured. And just a warning, big spoilers in 2 paragraphs.
Head to 3F. Both of the big rooms, west and east, have that red ! marker. Head to the left-most one on the map first. The Spirit Formless demons here were weak against Bufu. After you defeat them, Arthur says you just have to continue on with your investigation. So load up with Zio-users, and head to the eastern large room for two more Spirit Formless Demons. They are weak against Zio so if you come prepared you should have no problem.
Now head south. Who is this strange man in a suit? Oh, him. He will talk to you for a while and then ask you a big question; Will you end man’s rule on Earth? “I will” for the Chaos answer and “I can’t let that happen” for Neutral and Law (for reference I am doing Neutral this time). Main Mission: Inquiry into Commander Gore’s Body is now complete. On a side note it was about this time that I reached level 33 with the Main character so you can then fuse Tyrant Horkos.
Time to venture deeper into Delphinus, finally. Take the west door and then northwest for a Gate Search type B door. Continue west and north to Chakra Drop x4. Work your way southeast now and you will run into a crewman. He said the disease may have relapsed. EX Mission; The shadow withdraws. Sure enough, head southwest and you will see a staircase going to Delphinus 4F. It leads to a dark area so ignore this one for now and return back to the split to take the east door this time.
Take the north route and then scan through the northeast corner to find a river passage. Just a warning that it dumps you to a new area of Delphinus 2F with your only reward being southeast for an AC Delphite x5. The southeast area has a Gate Search type B to go through which should lead to that Revival Core x3 forma nearby and another door to the northeast. Straight north for Dis-Para x4 and south for White Core x3 forma. Follow the path south to the end for a chest of 5500 Macca and north for the staircase going up to Delphinus 4F.
The demon just north of the staircase contemplates life with a night-light which evidently is around here. Move along and get the White Core x3 forma and then enter the door for another dark area. Move west and keep going counterclockwise and then south for a door and a Keisetsu Stone. Rare Forma, this could be good. The strike team member mentions it might be worth going back to the Red Sprite, but we know this, so just head to the Terminal nearby and go back.
Irving takes a look at the Keisetsu Stone. New function for the Demonica; Visualizer A. Time to head back up to 4F, where the Terminal was. The Visualizer is neat, as you can see. When you get to the dark room south of the Terminal, head south but look for the west route, as this takes you further southwest. Take the Sacrifice x1 and then explore around in the southwest and you will fall in a pit.
New area of 3F after falling in that pit. West all the way for an Amrita Shower x1. The door north leads to new places to discover with the Visualizer, while the water south of you leads to a dump part of 2F that you have already been to. So head north through that door. Straight west and you will come to a door and a Kamudo Sword x1. 47 attack and can cause Mute. Take the east route in the dark area now. Go all the way west when you come out, then north until you see a wall – this is a Gate Search type B again. Now that this is scanned you have a shortcut through Delphinus 3F. Take the stairs to Delphinus 4F just south of this.
New area of Delphinus 4F. Take the White Core x4 forma and then you can rest / save if you wish. For now I’m taking the Terminal and going back to 3F, but taking the southwest stairs this time. It leads to a dark area but it is easy to navigate with the Visualizer. Straight north and through the door for DF Delphite II x1. Take the path through the east door and look for three Strike Team members interrogating each other, trying to figure out which one is infected. Mention the right hand, as all who are infected have a cut on their right hand. After this, McClane shows up. What a sneaky guy, he has tried to ambush all of you. This battle is easy though. Just use Wind magic to defeat the enemies, and then McClane himself has nothing but weak attacks (though he does have a ton of HP). After the battle, you use the MK Gun to restore his senses. EX Mission: The shadow withdraws is now complete. An Abba Dingo x1 is your reward. That is enough for now, so go back down to 3F and then take that center staircase that leads to the Terminal and heal spot.
Go north to the three doors. The middle door leads to a huge stone statue. You may know who this is. Take either door (left or right) and it will lead to a staircase going to Delphinus 5F. Take a quick left if you want a Raptor Talon x1 forma, but this path is blocked past that. So take a right and into another dark area; Chakra Core x1 forma is right by you. South into another dark area, but don’t keep going south. That will take you back to where you started as there seems to be conveyor belts on these floors as well. Anyway, instead of going south to the conveyor head west (take a right). You will see a few more north / south routes but skip the first few until you get to the last one. Go south and this conveyor takes you way down on the map. Continue west for a door and a Terminal.
Enter the west dark area and a conveyor will take you northwest. Go west and north from here, onto another conveyor. North onto another conveyor and then east and south for another conveyor. Go east and then north for one last conveyor. Then go east and look south for a door to enter. South and wrap around north for that AC Delphite x2. Then south for the staircase up to Delphinus 6F.
AT Delphite II x1 in front of you and then a Terminal. The east route leads to a conveyor going west. Go west and the first conveyor passage leads to a dump spot to 5F (same map you were on earlier). Further west for another conveyor coming your way and at the very west, a conveyor going north to take. Only thing of note in this area is the switch in the north. Press this and hit the conveyor south of you. It will take you to a pit. However, you can then return to 6F at the south end and enter two different conveyors. Taking the southeast conveyor east leads you to five different conveyors going west. Take the first path west and it leads to a dump to Delphinus 5F. The next path has a conveyor coming at you, while the third route west has a conveyor that just leads you through route 2. So head to the very north (conveyor coming at you) so take the second west route from the top. This leads us to a switch we should hit (light should be red now).
Go to the east-most point that stretches all the way south. This time head south and look for the west route you went through before, but this time you can go west further. Recovery Core x3 as you search around here. Further northwest for a bigger room with two more Forma; DF Delphite II x2 and AT Delphite II x2. Go back to the original part of Delphinus 6F. Take the west-most route and you should flip the switch to green once more.
Head back on the conveyor and take the route just east of this (going north). Ignore the conveyors and take the staircase to 7F. The east conveyor and west-most conveyor send you back where you came from, so take the other west route and you can continue on west. A switch is in this northwest area, so flip it to green. You can now take the path just south of this, so continue south all the way. East a bit and north for another conveyor that takes you to Wood Bark x1. From here, go east and through a short conveyor. Then south for a bigger room with yet another switch (should be red). Also an AT Delphite II x2 forma. Hit the switch so it is green and then go north a few conveyors. Through the door ahead.
Again, we see the giant hive-like thing. It tries to attack Zelenin but the Power Angel comes out to protect her. These two Formless Spirit’s are weak against Garu. You will get a fair amount of EXP for your victory and then this strange demon leaves. Return to the northwest to start this sequence over on Delphinus 7F. Flip the switch so that you can ride the conveyor south. Take the first west for the staircase going up to 8F Delphinus.
In this area, there is a secret Gate door to the north and south just as you enter. But continue northeast and take the next north – you should see a Revival Core x1 forma. Work your way south of this room for Wood Bark x1. In the northeast now we have a Terminal to save. Return to the beginning of Delphinus 8F. Enter that southwest room through the Gate Search type B (but first equip Agi-using allies). The Formless Spirits within are weak against Agi. After the battle, all the red markers on the map will disappear. It seems the Formless Demon is plotting it’s next maneuver. Return to the northeast Terminal and head south. Another empty room. Seems we have reached a dead end. Hit the Terminal and head back.
Highly advise buying the Rock Vest for the main character. The goal is to bring anti-fire gear (or demons). You can also get the Traitor Knife which is a small upgrade for the sword. One thing that is a big help for this upcoming boss battle is if you completed the EX Mission: snowman’s revenge, you will have acquired the gun with Frost Shot.
The key is getting the Ice Vest. It takes 1 DF Carite, 3 UMA Muzzles and 2 Enigma Clays. If you need Enigma Clays, go use enemy search in Carina Sector to find the Enigma type demons (big foot with a face). After producing the Ice Vest return to Carina B1F and look for the little hee-ho with the light blue dot on the map. Deliver that Ice Vest and he will turn into the Frost Ace Hee-ro. EX Mission: The snowman’s revenge is now complete and the Frost Cannon x1 is yours. Also, Genma Frost Ace can be fused through a special fusion. To fuse Frost Ace, you will need Fairy Jack Frost, Genma Tam Lin and Divine Power (and Main must be level 34+). Genma Frost Ace is useful in the upcoming boss battle in Delphinus. So lots of big reasons to complete this quest before the Delphinus Boss (which is coming up soon).
Rest up and bring a group ideally based on the last few paragraphs of preparation. Str vs. Fire is a must and using Bufudyne or something similar is very nice too. Get back to Delphinus 4F. Assuming you have beat all the Formless Spirits including the ones on Delphinus 8F, you should get a new blip on your radar to the north. The middle room with the statue.
After a conversation with the terrifying Asura you are prompted an Alignment-based question (top – law, middle – neutral, bottom – chaos). The beginning of the battle starts with Asura Roga, which can put you in Rage status. Defend just to up your likelihood of missing this infliction as it will cause Chaos amongst whoever is in Rage status. After this Asura will focus on fire attacks, most notably Maragidyne. If you have those hee-ho’s Black Frost and Frost Ace you should be in good shape because they will reflect the attack for 400+ damage on Asura! Frost Shot does a tremendous amount of damage as well (130+). I happened to have four neutral members and this battle went extremely fast. Tyrant Asura can now be fused in battle. Something is left on the battlefield; Ulna forma and Rosetta: Del.
Arthur summarizes the previous mission. Asura infected members of the crew but nonetheless another Rosetta is in your possession. Main Mission: Delphinus’s Rosetta is now complete. Arthur also mentions that the group is gaining a better understanding of The Vanishing Point, where this world connects to the outside world. It takes some time to pinpoint the new Sector but ultimately Arthur finds it. Hey, it looks like earth. We are now in Sector E: Eridanus. New Main Mission: Find the Vanishing Point. According to the Joint Conference, they are planning on eradicating the Schwarzwelt as soon as you leave (hopefully).
Oh good I found the EX Mission I was looking for. Thanks lordyuanshu! Delphinus has been fun.
ASURA ROGA…damn
thanks men.
Delphinus was cool. Shin Megami Tensei is just awesome, this reminds me of the old ones…
I’m still having trouble. Got to 4f in delphinus, but never got the keisetsu stone even though I went to the area where I was supposed to be able to get it. I did meet that one creature there though, but again, never got the stone.
Thanks to your explanation, I have cleared Delphinus Sector.
It was a tough boss tbh but yeahh you saved my journey man. Thank youuu.
Happy to hear man – journey onward
