Vandal Hearts

Vandal Hearts is a strategy game for the ps1 made by Konami.

You get about 12 characters and go through 35 + battles throughout 6 chapters. There is no real world map and you don't walk about with Ash Lambert - instead you pick and choose where you go, and then you fight battles. Ash is fighting against Hel Spites, Dolf Crowley and Kane of the Crimson Guard.

Ash and friends begin with basic classes like Mage, Healer, Archer, etc. But at level 10 each character can be promoted and then can choose between two class types depending on who they are (Ash only has one choice). Archers can be a Bowman or Hawknight, Healers can be a Bishop or Ninja, Mages can be a Sorcerer or Ninja, and so on. They can be promoted again at level 20 (but only the class they chose).

Throughout the game, many Key's can be collected (one in each chapter). Gaining the Prisms from these Key's allows you to access the ultimate class, the Vandalier for Ash.
