Moderatornanman is a great force to add into another mod. Ie: i added multiple meng huo battles/forces in my Rise of Lu Bu mod. Would take a great story teller to make a whole mod starring only them I think

Participanti just need help with the officers right now i mean its easy to do the story its getting the officers right
November 16, 2011 at 11:33 am #38796sonic.penguin
Moderatorfortunately due to recent mod coding, you can leave all the officers the same, just start w/ the nanman officers in an area by moving the warp pts. to south of Shu and change the encounters :)

Moderatorre: op
depends on your goal and how you want to ramp difficulty

after playing many of the downright brutal DoaE, it was nice to play the lubu mod that was fairly balanced although still more difficult than the original.

if you want things to be difficult, you'll be having brutal ap/ac on enemies or high soldier counts on enemy generals.
something to think about — do you want the party to evolve over time, or is enemy recruitment just a matter of removing annoyances from random encounters ?

ModeratorKeep in mind that with that starting group, you have a party worthy for the end of the game (aside form the 85 int) before even leaving the first town or fighting your first battle. The biggest threat is Meng Heng's 85 int, which gets fixed (by the meng huo replacement) looooooong before you get anywhere near An Sha.
Meanwhile the vanilla game starts you with only two officers you'll be keeping for a long time; it's not until the end of chapter 5 that you have five soldier-gaining officers.

ModeratorThe problem I had when I started the Rise of Lu Bu mod was "why would anyone even want to use Lu Bu @ endgame if he has 80 int instead of slightly weaker guys who have 200+ int?"
This is a big question you will have to aleviate in your mod if you plan on having Nanman officers as your main characters. Or you can just do like Midknight's mod and give people like Yuan Shang 220 int and call it a day :D
I think there was another Lu Bu mod which I tried for a short stint before I couldn't stand it anymore. It gave Lu Lingqu like 240 str and 230 int… or something like that, but it kind of wrecks the game if you just front load the game with UBER officers that you never get rid of or have a need to replace.

ModeratorAs for the Lu Bu mod, Lu Bu is Lu Bu; just have his soldiers skyrocket, ending with 60,000 or so at level 50! That, plus the improved damage formula mod, plus being unanshaable makes him usable.

ModeratorKeep in mind that (by going form levle 1 to level 50) +5/level would take someone from a truly pathetic 10 strength to the max of 255 strength.
Instead, you may wish to calculate the stats as max*(level+14)/64. Zhuge Liang, for example, would go from 59 int (at levle 1) to 255 int (at level 50).
You will, of course, have to lower int learning values, and TP would have to be edited as well.

work in progress i will keep that in mind, was trying to think how to fix this problem
Quote:You will, of course, have to lower int learning values, and TP would have to be edited as well.yes if i don't go with the skill point system(75% chance i will use), and i have each officer with own tp values and can only use their tactics but you don't need to set a strategist, this way you don't have 5 people who can an sha in one party or among the enemy,
