Ever seen a church sanctuary and wondered how they get the lighting up there? Believe me it’s not easy. They need to rent a lift which costs a ton of money and is hard to get in. They also have to move the pews and possibly other parts of the sanctuary to get the lift in a spot where they can get at the lights. Even then it is dicey going that high up trying to change a light bulb.
What is the answer? LED. LED lasts longer than what churches have used in those positions for a number of years. High watt metal halides provide a lot of lumens but die off quickly. This means extra maintenance which is extra money that churches don’t want to spend on lighting but have been forced to do so. In turn, what is needed is a high watt LED to produce that amount of light but still last a long time. Premier Lighting has developed the answer to this solution.
As mentioned above, there are not LED bulbs that have the lumens/wattage to directly replace the a 500w metal halide for example. A custom LED solution is necessary.
