You begin the game in the "hidden" Iga ninja village. Walk around and talk a little bit, when youare done talk to the elder in the northern part of the village. Once he’s done speaking a messanger will run up and tell you about Oda Nobunaga’s army attacking, you’ll head south and be attacked by a Top diamond and 2 assasins, you can’t win so just go down honorably. You will wake up to the elder using his last bit of strenth to restore you and send you off on your own.
We will now head to the password cave directly north. We will get in our first winable fight here, it’ll be either a giant rat or a centipede. The good thing about this game is that when you level up your health(HP) and energy(MP) will be restored to full. The cave is simple, just head south a bit and west mainly, you will find a blue room with a bird house in it. Grab the password and walk around a bit to gain levels. You should get to at least level 7, But I personally recommend 12(you’ll see why in a bit) As soon as you leave there are two possible cutscenes you could see
or
This will determine a boss you fight in a dungeon much later in the game as well as the final boss fight. The story is not affected by this at all, so decide which one you want (the 1st has harder bosses), they are random so don’t worry about which one you get.
Now let’s head east and south until we get to ISE. There is nothing here, period, no weapons, armor, nothing. You can check out the inn and the tea house in the south-eastern corner for some allies. If you want some healing, look for a medicant or a hermit, these guys can’t fight but if you need healing they are the way to go. I go for raw power, such as swordsmen, ronin, or samurai. They can’t use any techniques but can fight like no other. You also might stumble across some crappy ninja, namely Otowano and Tateoka, If you only went to level 7, take one of these guys (they will be searching for you, along with Amagi Koji, a hermit and on very rare occasions Gou Ikuma the ronin). Let’s get out of ISE and head for MIKAWA. Head north, following the waterline and cross the bridge, head east and go south a bit, you can’t miss it. MIKAWA has decent weapons and and Hanzo, possibly the best character in the game. If we went to level 12 we can get him after we buy some armor and a new weapon. Just get his trust to 40 by talking, and challenge him, once you beat him you can enlist him, he will be 4 levels higher than you no matter what and it’s a tough fight. Once you’ve done what you need to do head for TOTOMI(straight east) stop in, say hi and look for some more allies if you’d like. Same crappy weapons as ISE so don’t worry about that. When finished, head to MT. FUJI. Just head north until you see a stone sign, it says mt. fuli east, so go there and enter the weird bukiding by the lake.
Once you entered take to the man on the pedestal and asnswer yes, he wants to make sure you are dedicated to beating Oda, which if you are playing the game, you should be. Enter the dungeon and if you don’t want the treasures folow this (they are not really worthwhile here but I know how some people like to get Head North and east in the corner and go down the stairs. Now go east and south until you can only go north follow the wall into the corner and head west til you see more descending stairs, take them. Head south around the lave and the walls until you can’t go anywhere but east. Follow the wall to more stairs and take them. There is a bird house containing a FIRE GEM, the item you came for. Southeast and there is another staircase that leads to the exit, just keep going until you find a warp (a circle with a triangle inside it), you will come out right by the exit stairs. Maybe get to level 10 unless you did the level 12 thing back in the password dungeon. Leave and talk to the man on the pedestal again, he will now teach you the flame technique, you will most likely never use this, and send you on the MT TSUKUBA.
Items in Mt. Fuji-Ninjato(ninja sword ATT 21), mace(for hermit ATT 16), and amulet(DEF 2, RES 2), Elixer(heals wounded status), and some medicines(heals 30 HP).
UPDATE SOON TO COME.

October 19, 2006 at 12:12 am #22769thechieftainParticipantFantastic game, I am gonna be updating my walkthrough Saturday. I am hoping to have it finished on paper by then, then all I do is type.
October 19, 2006 at 12:19 am #22770Perhong_AngtongParticipantMan, Date expanded, Shimazu expanded, and even if IMO he had enough, Nobunaga expanded.
I suppose the plot of the game is to kill Nobunaga before he takes everything?

October 20, 2006 at 12:28 am #22771thechieftainParticipantShimazu will not move off his island and date is one of the only lords that can take over all of japan. Screw nobunaga, all he does is take out the weak links before the almighty date can crush them.
I plan in doing a "take over Japan" part after my walkthrough is finished. I am the only person that I know has taken it over.
October 20, 2006 at 1:03 am #22772CommieCatGirlParticipantI’ve started playing this a bit. Sucks that it’s too late to have Shingen Takeda though.

October 21, 2006 at 11:17 pm #22774Zhang LuParticipantUgh, I’m well into the game, trying to get into Azuchi Dungeon…yet Tokugawa refuses to attack Mino so that I can get there. He has superior manpower, I’ve weakened Mino to the point that it is pretty much defenseless…what gives? Why must Tokugawa be a bitch and not allow me to continue in the game?

October 22, 2006 at 12:24 am #22776Zhang LuParticipantYes, I’ve done everything except destroy Nobunaga…and nevermind, I got Hojo Ujimasa to attack :D
Off to Azuchi I go *runs*

Well here we go, from Fuji head east and around the mountains and you will reach Shinagawa, a very small town right on the coast with nothing important going on so head north and then east across a bridge as soon as you hit the river, head north once you cross and you can’t miss MT. Tsukuba. Here you will find another man on a pedestal and he will ask you to retreive the EARTH GEM from the dungeon, Easy. Let’s grab some antidotes from the medic shop before we go in, just in case there are poisonous monsters down here, Hint hint. Once you go inside just follow the path around to the stairs down. 2nd floor, just go west and west and a little more west, you’ll find a path going north, take it. If you take a northern path right away you can get a stell helm(def 10), it sucks but you can sell it. Once you take the stairs down to the 3rd floor there are a ton of paths you can take, but none of them go anywhere good, except one. So go west and south then take the second path you find on the right, take it and then take the southern part of that path, and follow it to the stairs. Next floor head south, east and north in that order, follow the long winding path and when there is a path take it to the wall. You will find two staircases, one north and one south, the southern has a medicine, and elixer, and an antidote. The north has a huge room where you can find a birdhouse at the far northern side. It has the EARTH GEM in it, west of there are two more chests, one with a light mail(def 16) and a tengu wing(warp). You can leave now, but I suggest gaining a couple level first, 16 should be okay. When you leave go to the man on the pedestal and he will teach you repair(heals about 30health) and Purge(cures poison), and then he will send you on to MT HAGURO, north of dewa for more training.
When you leave Tsukuba, go just a bit east and stop in HITACHI and check to see if anyone good is hanging around waiting to be recruited and then leave. Head north along the river keep going north until you find RIKUCHU, there a great weapons and armors here and for whatever reason alot of charaters stroll through here so check it out, sell your excess stuff and buy something nice for yourself, if you have the money, but you should have enough for at least a weapon upgrade by now.
When you’ve finished whatever you want to do, head north and west around the mountains, following clearing and head north from the river and you’ll find MT HAGURO. You know the drill by now, talk to the old man and enter the dungeon. We will be looking for the SHY GEM here. Once inside, head directly south and take the…ladder? That’s right, there are ladders here instead of stairs. Anyway, from there head north and take the path heading south when you get to the top, then hit the teleport, and next the ladder. Follow the spiral path and go west, and south when you can, ignore the far western path, it’s a trap. Now go east, then north to another ladder, take it. Next floor go south and west. DO NOT TAKE THE TELEPORT YOU FIND. there is a pit right next to it, fall down it and take the ladders until you see…the birdhouse, grab the SKY GEM, and take the teleport and the pit and the ladder and by then you’ll recognize where you are and head out, I like to get to level 20 here, but it’s your call. When you’ve finished go back to the old man and he will teach you Fog(useless, unless you want to lower the enemies accuracy, plus it doesn’t work all the time) and wind(fairly useful, a hit all wind spell). He then tells you to go to MT OSORE, but he doesn’t tell you where it is. I know where it is but we are gonna do some side quest 1st.
Next update coming soon.

September 19, 2007 at 4:01 pm #22779CommieCatGirlParticipantI’ve tried this game a few times, though, the farthest I’ve got was getting the Sky Gem.
