Actually, James, I was listening to this the other day (because the soundtrack is awesome) and I think the Palace theme is a 1.5 loop rather than a full 2-loop. The first loop ends around the 40s mark (the "opening" part occurs twice in a full loop).

I’ve never played the wu hack of doae2, but I remember someone said it has a different major boss battle theme, so can someone please put it?
Somewhere in the DoaE forum I think Terranigma Freak posted that mystery DoaE 2 track from the mod bosses.

Funny you mention a "mystery track" for DOAE2. I have a giant NSF collection (nes game music files), and the DOAE2 NSF has an unused track. The track sounds as if it’s a 3rd boss song- I’m guessing it was to be the final battle music for the game (sounds like it, plus it always seemed funny to me how Si Ma Yi had the same "super" boss music used throughout the game). Yeah yeah, I know DOAE1 had its final boss music in two other places, but in both those occasions it was kind of leading up to the final battle in a big way. So yeah, anyone want the NSF?
