My brother bought Suikoden 4, finished it with 108 chars (was long, 60 hours…) all key items and many more, but the character you’re talking about wasn’t there, mostly because suiko 4 is about 140 years before the 5th (I think the 5th is 10 years before the 1st, if my memory is correct).
Oh lord, btw, in suiko 4, the best party is the Hero (Lazlo), Ted, Kika, Snowe and Yu (as support). Since it’s the first suiko where you can build up your chars up to level 99 (Without cheating or taking 9999999 hours), this party is the best and most balanced. Give somebody the slash rune, and you’ll have a pretty easy time (Ahhh, the flashes command instead of let go, makes you win gold without much effort, and even kill that damn Killer Golem in 1 hit!)
Just hope you didn’t kill snowe, because then he can’t be the 108th star!
Ted is so useful with Soul Eater! (For thoses who didn’t know, yes, it’s the same Ted as in Suiko 1!)

Yeah, that always confused me why, in the other Suikoden games, you seem to hit a wall in the mid 60’s and can never get much higher than that.
