Haha, sorry about that man! Every time I try to get back to stable playtesting, shit keeps crowding up my life lol. Better use this end-of-year to summer season to jump back into Ieyasu. And Rise of Lu Bu, which I surprisingly haven't played yet, as I was kinda on hiatus during its development. And thanks for the credit bro. ;D
Nice job so far, I understand it's still a WIP. Any of LYS' mods give me quite the boner. ;D
Just a few notes/questions:
I assume you messed around with the palettes a bit, or something. Probably introduces some nice new sprite colors, but everything in the map looks kinda out of place. Blue sand lol :P Hope that's just part of the testing…? Unless you intended Dong to be trippy when this happened.
Bao… who? Haha, always nice to have more Song Rens and Song Yongs.
I believe it's Guang Zong. Not a huge deal, also might be alternate spellings.
As for the world map, I understand that you tried to sort of "guide" the player through geographical features, but the path is pretty narrow and doesn't encompass a whole lot of space, which makes it annoying when you're trying to move around for the first few minutes trying to level up through random encounters and such. And I keep running into the boulder/mountains -_-
Lol, what's up with the random crossover into the Ding Yuan territory? I almost died from a heart attack at the castle battle. ;P
Also, I believe the cave is the first place to visit? Having a cave before a city battle is usually a bad idea, as food depletes VERY quickly when traversing caves. I ended up having to make a mad dash for Xiongnu after going under 100 food at the end of it.

Man, the riflemen are so annoying. And so are Hideyoshi's ridiculous stats. I sure hope the battles get easier from here on…
I'm checking through every villager I meet. I believe I found someone claiming to be the creator of ROBL? :p
And yeah, the talk with Sessai kind of smoothed the plot up a bit, though I've yet to find out why exactly I'm fighting this Nobunaga guy lol.
And oh man, Hideyoshi is so hard to beat. ._. Partially because I apparently suck at this game lol. Looking forward to fighting No in the near future, she's a huge pain in the ass when met in a field battle.
You did say that the mod works best with FCEUX 2.0+, but it seems that anything below that won't work AT ALL. I've tried loading the game with several different older versions of the emulator, and it refused to read the file as a game.
Some feedback:
1. Awesome job with the game so far, looks amazing from the moment the game turns on, with how you edited in all of the mini-biographies and the introducing text. Although at the final part of the intro, where it speaks of the Warring States, the line about "Sonic Penguin's recreation" seems a bit awkward lol. Maybe specifying what game it's a recreation of might be a bit more fluent. :p
2. Also, do you know if there might be a way you could change the title? Unless you're willing to keep Destiny of an Emperor there.
3. It should be "Yoshimoto, you are a true noble" (with the comma)
4. AND WHAAAAAAAT ANOTHER FREE LEVEL UP LOCATION IN LOU SANG!!!! Did you take out the old man in the Ji Zhou map? Or does this mean a potential Level 52…
5. Along with the Lou Sang free level up, which players will probably get with their second character interaction, the game stops playing music until the player exits the village. Any way you could possibly fix that?
6. I… uh, THINK I was supposed to go west to meet Uncle Sessai, who randomly attacked me after saying I shouldn't fight Nobunaga? I mean, I know a lot of people playing this know about the Sengoku Period, but as a game I feel like there should be a little bit more explaining at times about what's going on, maybe from the villagers even.

The guard at the first city also says "This is Lu Yang Castle, where Emperor Shao lives." I assume you meant LUO Yang?
Awesome job. I am simply amazed.
Only just started the game, the variety that you've put into the officers' stats, soldier count, and most of all tactics have placed different degrees of worth in previous pissholes like Song Yong.
Although, two things:
1. I notice that I can't see how much TP each potential tactician can provide the party with before I assign him as a strategist?
2. There seems to be a little glitch where the three bros. (who start with weapons equipped) are set at 5 Wpn and 0 Def like all default officers until they equip/unequip a different item.
Don't know if you solved this already, but seeing as no new GIF's were up…

Above link shows how to create transparency in GIMP. I personally use any edition of Photoshop for making GIF's, as well for its simple support of transparency simply by deleting a selected area.
