2012 Huo Hu Award Voting: Best Story line/Text Modifications

I will also nominate Rise of Ieyasu for Best Story line/Text Modifications for a lot of the same reasons I mentioned before. New characters, new portraits, new story. There is not a single character that I'm aware of that came from the original DOAE (besides chapter 9 but that's still different).
Destiny of an Emperor 2.0 – Cao Cao Edition (by James 2007-2009)
This was the first mod I played that completely deviated from the Liu Bei and the gang story line. It had massive text updates and a completely different story. Really liked the story on the Yuan Shu mod too. I tend to favor mods that change the main cast of characters and change the story around.
yep a huge amount of text has been updated and I really liked the part when Ma Chao left because Cao Cao killed his father, nice story.
James tells a great story and he knows the history well. Lots of thought went into this tale.

the plethora of changes, and overall theme is quite consistent…. and the fictional story progression is in place as well. Comedy is nice.
Yuan Shao's Revenge (by MiDKnighT 2010-2012)
I really thought this mod was well done, and to be honest I wasn't sure how the author would pull the Yuan Shao cast off. It was well done. I really appreciated that the people involved in some cases pre-dated stock DoaE, which would have been Yuan Shao's glory days.
