ParticipantIn all seriousness, that game was pretty good. I still play it on occasion, using some of the lower-rung cities. Too bad you can’t play as one of the minor cities. I used to enjoy playing as Nairobi, Rio de Janeiro, and Lagos in the first one.

Is that the game where you are an air plane agency?

ParticipantYes. It was quite rare, IIRC. My original copies of Aerobiz and Aerobiz: Supersonic combined to cost me around $110 back in the day :P

And Honolulu was another good one to play as. I was always dissapointed they left entire areas of the world out, like South Africa and Patagonia, and also how the middle east was treated in game. I don’t thinkit should have been as bad as it was in later scenarios.

ParticipantTehran got pwned in the second scenario. It was impossible to turn a profit with them until the Gulf War was over…and until you’ve gone out of business with like one route…in which the game gave you the profit machine that is Tehran to New York <_<

To be honest, i was able to make more profits with Tehran than i was with Baghdad.
Tehran to NY? sounds like a waste of money that could be used for Tried and True NY to Tokyo and NY to London Routes, now NY to Perth… That’s Suicide.

ParticipantI was referring to the original Aerobiz in that one, but yeah…I only do Tehran to NY when I play as New York just to fill the requirement of going to every region.
I usually go New York to Auckland in the 4th scenario. 8,870 miles of massive profit in the right situation :)

I hate the 4th scenario, i’m a short hop kinda guy you see… also, my favourite city get’s hit hard in the fourth scenario, due to stupid Thatcher.

ModeratorMan, I love Aerobiz. I’ve been waiting for Koei to create a new one with full-fledged officer management like the RTKs (i.e. this manager is good at negotiating airport shares, another one is good at optimizing routes or some such).
Yeah, Tehran was terrible in that second scenario. There was no reason in the first (at least) to go with any of the lesser cities – all you got was higher difficulty, really.
Never owned a copy of Supersonic – only played it a bit, I think if I’d gotten a chance to play it more

ParticipantI can uh, help you with that…
*whispers* ‘meet me in the carpark in 15 minutes…’ *runs away*
anyway, Aukland to NY? i usually play the third scenario, so that seems a litte excessive to me, i would have just done a Tokyo to Sydney.

ParticipantI played the game but I don’t like it. I’d rather play Uncharted Horizons if I’m tired of RTKlike and DWlike games.

ParticipantMeh, your choice, but the Uncharted Waters series is great too, and well overdue of a new English version.
