Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingMarch 3, 2006 at 11:58 pm #14786Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterWhich battle do you consider the "hardest" in Destiny of an Emperor 1. This is all relative to where you are in the storyline.
I’ll take the Pang Tong battle. Although many of your warriors are strong with their Swords, it’s completely up to chance, because if he Ji Mian’s you or casts Bei Ji and then Hong Shui, then you can say goodnight. Sure, you can beat him in a few turns if he does stupid stuff like attack or cast Yi Xin, but he’s pretty volatile I’d say.
By the way, I just don’t buy into Chang Sha and Ji Zhou being hard. Just use Ji Rou…

April 26, 2006 at 11:25 pm #14792SamuelParticipantMy vote goes to the Hu Lao Gate Battle. Even though it happens rather early in the game, our forces are not very strong. Lu Bu and Li Ru are formidable opponents at that point. I often lose one or two guys in this battle.
The one at Chang An will be my second choice. But I recruit Lu Bu so the fight eases up.
April 26, 2006 at 11:41 pm #14793Perhong_AngtongParticipantI vote for the battles in Shu, because you are exausted when you get to the gates! (When I tried to run away from random encounters, it wouldn’t most of the time!!!)

April 27, 2006 at 5:21 pm #14794SamuelParticipantYes, that’s quite true. You need a lot of food in order to reach a city or gate. If you raise your level to maximum (55), you food supply can run out.
I imply that Shu has a secret place for you to train levels. I will post it in a new topic.
April 27, 2006 at 8:03 pm #14795Perhong_AngtongParticipantLevel 55?!? That’s new, I always thought the maximum level in DOAE1 was level 51 (With the trick from Ji Zhou). Can you give theses informations to lordyuanshu and how to do it?

May 8, 2006 at 7:45 am #14796Xian Zhu XuandeParticipantI voted for Hui Ji. Zhou Yu and company can be a huge challenge, especially when I usually arrive at that point with just around 3,000 soldiers. I can run through the rest of the game without fighting, but if you slip up once there, Zhou Yu and his buddies can tear you apart with their water tactics?and they are good at making you slip up.
You should have listed the Yan Liang and Wen Hun [Chou] battle!
Or certainly the last battle fi you don?t use the trick to save you victory against Sima Shi and Sima Zhou.

Hmm? But the game?s experience, even when maxed out, only lets you reach level 50 or 51 (depending on what you did at Ji Zhou). How can you reach a higher level? Does the level cap work differently in the CJK version of the game?
May 8, 2006 at 9:09 pm #14798SamuelParticipantYes, the battle against Xu You, Yan Liang, and Wen Chou at the gate where we rescue Zhao Yun’s sister should be listed. It is a mightily tough fight.
Based on your comments, it really looks to me that my Taiwanese PC version has a different level cap.
May 8, 2006 at 11:12 pm #14799Perhong_AngtongParticipantMaybe that’s the only thing, but could you list everything you did IF you got to lv 55? I’d like to know if it works in the NES version.
