All my characters' sprites turn into Liu Bei. Do the achieved characters have their own sprites, or are they supposed to look that way?

I haven't delved into the 64 items in the Vault trick. If only Zhang Lu were around, he's spent hours getting every general in the game there..

Um, when I use the 64 item trick, most of my officers have a soldier count of over 100,000. Even if I go to the inn, it stays the same. Is this normal?
