ModeratorMeteorstrike had some questions about DoaE2 but I haven't played it in a while. He made a vid with his questions:

Quote:"I was tinkering with the maps for Destiny of an Emperor 2, and I found some strange oddities that I would like to know why they are occurring…I haven't played the game yet, so I'm sure there are (probably) some logical explanations for the strange behavior I am seeing, but I don't want to have to play the game from the beginning, until who-knows-when, to figure out what is going on here… Maybe someone who has played the game can fill in the blanks?
First off, there is a "hidden chest" in the mountain range west of Beiyuan. The item is actually on a wall tile, which means it couldn't be accessible by normal means. (Not to mention that the game has it stored as a chest instead of a hidden item.) Is there some sort of event that causes this chest to appear? There are no defined modifications for that screen in the game, so I don't see how the player is supposed to get access to it… maybe there is some scripted event that takes place…
The second issue I found is with the map layout of the mountain range to the east. I realize I entered through the exit point, but the wall is solid, so how is the player supposed to exit normally? Also, the left and right edges of the map are messed up. Is this normal? Is the player supposed to be prevented from walking that far through some scripted action? Because I was able to get to those edges, even without the walk-thru walls code."
I told him to come over to the board and post this question but he doesn't seem to check this e-mail account much.

KeymasterWell, no clue about the Emperor Sword. It's not even unique. And there is no way we can access it other than that. However, it's worth noting that there are a lot more items that can be found on the ground in this game. So I'm not surprised it was scattered somewhere.
As for the second part of the video, that's the stone maze that Sima Yi sets up. We get the solution for clearing it through an old man in a house northeast of there, so it's story-line dependent (I don't think we can go through that spot in the map until we do this, even if we know where to go from previous times through the game). It's like 19 steps south (to the wall) and 19 steps east, then go south to exit.

ParticipantAs for the second, I think it depends on story-line and you cannot pass unless, for i.e, you've defeated Sima Yi or speak to the old man that knows the secret earlier. That's all I guess.
I agree that there are many items still not uncovered in this game. Even I completed the quest of discovering the locations of the ultimate weapons, there's still one more thing I cannot accomplish, the PinkLeo thing.
DoaE gave birth to Huo Hu.
