As the guy who thinks Jia Xu is wei's best advisor, I'm not the one underrating him. In particular, Zhang Xiu's tiny force resisted Cao Cao for three years due to the plan called "follow Jia Xu's instructions precisely".
And if they're gonna do a late Wei advisor, why not Zhong Hui instead of Deng Ai? They can even have the final stage for both Jiang Wei and Zhong Hui be the 264 rebellion — complete with the chosen character forcing Wei to accept their independence.
I just thought Deng Ai would be a better example for a start-to-end Wei officer, but that' just my sense of loving loyal generals. It does derprive them of an interesting storyline, though.
And today I got Zuo Ci's fourth weapon, thus completing that character. Getting that Trump Deck was extremely difficult, killing Lu Bu on Hard mode. Since my dad helped distract Lu Bu and let me use Musou Attacks from behind, he wasn't much of a threat, but twice my life bar reached the yellow from the endless catapult fire.
Yes, the battles against the enemies that don't even stagger when you hit them are very hard (like Lu Bu). Pretty much have to save up your Musou's and use them, or save up Musou Tokens and do a lot of damage with them.
Zuo Ci is one of the best though. Strange fighting with a deck of cards but he's good in battle in the game.
Zhong Hui would be a good late-Wei addition as well. Hard choosing between him or Deng Ai but just the fact that they're moving in that direction is a good thing (for the Wu side, Ding Feng would be a good late addition).

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingI really don't like the fact that you can't pile Musou Tokens in your arsenal.
But since Lu Bu's over, Zuo Ci is now invincible, even in Chaos. I'm currently using him as 2nd player while I help my dad (1st player) get fourth weapons.
For Wu I would like to have Cheng Pu and Ding Feng, they have good long stories (especially Cheng Pu).
Certain characters can get multiple Musou Tokens in Dynasty Warriors 5. This makes it even more cheap and overpowered, but an asset nonetheless.
Yes, Cheng Pu would be a good addition.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingI just figured that I won't be using anyone other than Zuo Ci for quite some time, since I love using that over-powered old man.
By the way, I got all the harnesses except for the Shadow Harness, and I was trying to get it. Well, you have to defeat Zhang Ji and Hu Zhen within 45 seconds of their arrival. I was waiting right in front of the checkpoint, and Zhang Ji was just within sight, but he wouldn't just ride into the space where I could hit him… And he kept on moving, making it hard for me to shoot him down.
I finally got the Shadow Harness, and after two hours of frustration and screaming, acheived all the orbs, completing my item collection. I also figured that Gan Ning was an easy-to-use officer, as long as you can aim his Musou attack well (two attacks should finish off anyone on Hard, if you freeze them). The same attack can also help him get away from Lu Bu when down on health. :D
Yes, being able to flee using the Musou has always helped Gan Ning get away, though if you happen to finish his musou close to an enemy he is off-balance for a bit I believe.
