Yea Diao Chan having a musou mode definitely makes you scratch your head…that said I’m glad they saved some of the better musous (or my personal favorites like Yuan Shao / Dong Zhuo) for DW6XL or DW7 or whatever they plan.
Diao Chan is pretty cool though in this one…she’s not as weak and her whip has a bit better reach than those little musical instruments she had in the previous games.
Pang De…I miss him. Jiang Wei was pretty cool too…for a Shu character :)

These are the musous and the order in which I’ve completed them so far…
Dian Wei, Zhao Yun, Zhou Yu, Diao Chan, Zhang Liao, Guan Yu, Gan Ning, Xiahou Dun.
I’ve also messed around with Xu Huang quite a bit and am in the middle of Cao Cao and Lu Xun musou modes. So…I’m getting there. Still have a lot of characters to unlock too though.
I think it was 19 in total of unlocking. Ah, your almost halve way done with it. I never understood the obsession of passing the game as everybody, no matter how pointless it is passing stories with characters you won’t continue with later whatsoever… Intensify my point!

Hey I’m doing Zhang Fei’s musou mode…and I finally got the Campaign against Yuan Shu stage! I’m excited…I don’t know how it’s a difficulty of 2 though, it’s very easy. I’ll be using that to farm characters I’m sure.

In west Shuuuuu born and raised. on a battlefeild is where i spend most of my days.Battling killing all thoes fools when a couple of guys they where up to no good. started making trouble in my neighborhood. i got in 1 little duel and my mom got scared, and said ur moving with ur uncle and aunt to Wu Zhang Plains.I wistled for a carraige and when it came near he had on green with some dice in the rear.if anything i could say to this guy was where but i thought na forget it yo hommie to Wu Zhang.i pulled up to the castle about around 7 or 8 and i yelled to the carriage drive yo home smell ya later. look at my kingdom i was finally there. time to sit on my throne as the prince of Wu Zhang.
KOEI has announced Dynasty Warriors 6: Special (Shin Sangoku 5 Special) that is going to be released on this coming September for PlayStation 2 (yes it’s PS2, not PS3). Some cloned characters would get de-cloned with new weapon and new moveset? Stay tuned for more!

Oh damn…is this true Zhuge Liang? I can’t believe that they would do this…I guess more people have a PS2 but still. New musous? New weapons? Hopefully this game is 30$ instead of 50 otherwise I doubt I’ll be picking up what is effectively DW6XL

Yea it is nice that they are putting it on PS2, it gives gamers who already bought the other DW6 some incentive to get it with the added musou modes / weapons, but it opens the game up to a whole new audience.
I’d reckon that PS2 consoles in NA homes is close to = to Ps3 / xbox360’s owned combined. So a lot of new people will be getting a chance to get this…it’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.
Any release dates for this yet? I’d imagine it can’t be too far away though…
