Final Fantasy Game for 3DS – Nobody knows what this will be yet… My older daughter just got a 3DS for her birthday and my younger daughter just finished FFV advance and loved it… I'm thinking there might be a good excuse soon for some daddy-daughter time with the FF for 3DS… It's funny how it works. If I go off and play a FF game or something by myself I get in trouble with the wife that I'm ignoring the family. However, if I let my 8 year old daughter play FFV and sit with her and help her along the way, I'm being a 'good dad'. Go figure… The 8 year old daughter is playing FFIV DS now… Some of the bosses are pretty tough so often I have to take over and win the battle for her. We're both having fun with it. Now back on topic, here's a link with what we know about the Final Fantasy game for 3DS:

I'm hoping for FFVI over FFV. It didn't seem like FF5 didn't really pick up the fanbase that FFVI did, probably because it wasn't originally released here in the US which I think will play another factor in possibly doing FFVI first.
I like FFV over the other SNES era FF's (which I consider to be the best era of FF, so yea FFV is my favorite FF).
I think part of WHY I liked it so much was that it didn't come for a while. Made me appreciate it more or something. I still remember summer of 1998 when the translation was out and I got to play the game for the first time on emu, man what an experience. That was my first emu experience where I really felt I was playing something that no one I knew was playing.
I like the classes (great for replay value) and how it's not as story / personality driven as FF6. And the challenging bosses at the end, sort of a precursor to the elite american bosses in FF7 (Ruby / Emerald Weapon). But yea it's certainly not full of the charisma and great story that FF6 has.
Pretty much splitting hairs deciding which of those is the best so it's all personal preference. I kind of think with FFV's lack of releases here that they'll be doing that next, but who knows. FF6 does have a huge fanbase and you'll NEVER hear FFV being one of the best unless you're talking to me or MiDKnight. Chances are they are both re-created. I'll be waiting. I could care less about FFXIII-2 and all the other bullshit Square is putting out (sad to say I care more about REMAKES but hey, they're of the games I actually care about + back when they had a good formula for making these games).

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingFFIX wasn't at the top of my list, but I don't think I gave it a fair shake. I have a hard time deciding which of the PSX FF's that I like best. If you held a gun to my head and told me to decide I'd probably say 7-8-9.
FFXII…ick. Was not a fan of it. Was WAY too long, grinding was boring, + I don't even really remember the story. But to each his own.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingi meant to say that XIII but my computer didn't let me put that last I in there though XII is still up there in the list, would be at the top if i had rex(vaan's brother, i think thats his name) was the main character not vaan
13?! That's even worse!!!! Hahaha… Well that's just my opinion, you are allowed to like what you want huohu. I'm an old grandpa when it comes to game preferences anyway. It's just so linear, screen to screen. Terrible gameplay, no customization / replay value / side quests. But hey, it looks pretty. The only FF I haven't beat (well not counting 11 but I don't play MMORPG's).
And yes FFXII might be better if Vaan wasn't the main. Up there with Tidus with most annoying.

So you liked Squall then though, huh?
+ I think for FFVII it would have been Zack or Cloud, not Sephiroth :P Seph has to be the bad guy in that one.
