Found recently in youtube a new, but 5 years old DoaE hack, style is DoaE2 like, engine is like DoaE2’s, has AI ladders-stairs few stops while moving like DoaE2, graphics, shops, town, map is same like DoaE2’s. status screens are as same, battle graphics, soldier bars are same. music is original.

Ya this is clearly based on DOAE2. We never cracked DOAE2 to start hacking it in the US. We had come so far with DOAE the thought of starting over and trying to hack DOAE2 was daunting.
Unfortunately, this revealed to be DoaE2 Hack, yes. Asked about this from the channel where i found this. But it shows that it is possible to hack DoaE1 music as well as it has been succeeded on DoaE2 putting DoaE1 music

Are you talking about a channel named Toutousama? I have contacted him for the download links of these Doae2 hacks with Doae1 music…..last year, we have found a lot of Doae2 japanese hacks thanks to Midknight, me and a guy named Neo

- Princess Cao Zhang, daughter of Cao CaoThe main thing DOAE2 needs is fixing that god awful map travel speed, everything else is great. Good basis for future hacks if anyone picks it up.
That said I really like what has been accomplished with the original DOAE.
The main reason why modders prefer to hack DoaE1 is because it is faster than DoaE2 i guess….both in battle and map

- Princess Cao Zhang, daughter of Cao CaoI would have hacked DOAE2 if someone like meteorstrike had dug into the code like he did with DOAE1. His work on DOAE1 gave me the info to take it further. And of course Niahak created DoaEditor. We don’t have code analysis or a DOAE editor for DOAE2 which is why it would be much harder for me to do a DOAE2 hack. I think Japanese modders already know way more about hacking DOAE2 than we do.
With DOAE2 we would be starting from scratch, at least for me. Would have to figure out the most basic things first. Too much work for me :)
