Participantif you can make a game, be it 3d or 2d, of any genre, what would you have in mind?
i would make an elder scrolls kind of game with more races, much more varied quests, and the ability to go anywhere within tamriel and the ability to travel to akavir…
another game would be the unfinished oddworld game the brutal ballad of fangus klot…it would be a mix of strangers wrath, metal gear, and fear effect.
yet another game would be an RPG game using the ultima 8: pagan game engine with elements of ultima 7 and the diablo games put in.

ParticipantI have thought about a dragon warrior (quest) type game, I always loved them.

ParticipantI’d make a good game.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

ParticipantImagine Bioshock, but cell shaded, skating based, and including the soundtrack from Jet Set Radio.
Oh, and a friend could assist you as Floyd.
-Edit-
And paintball mode from goldeneye would always be on, so people will squirt multi-colored blood after you bash their heads in with the wrench.

ModeratorI would love to make a game (or even a hack) based on one of the Langrisser games, set in the Three Kingdoms.
The engine is just so perfect for the setting, it’s essentially a strategy/rpg with troops separate from generals. It makes things feel a lot larger-scale, whereas LOCC still feels like every other tactical RPG… more like a skirmish than a battle, even with 10+ "generals" on each side.

ParticipantOh man, a text-based, old ass computer rpg version of Killer 7. That would be the shit for sure.

Participantsomething like shadow of the colossus, except with a system similar to GOD HAND’s tension (except unleashing it gives you temporary infinite grip and the ability to do a bit of damage stabbing any part of the colossus), Soul Nomad’s GIGPOINTS (just for the hell of it) and corruption thing (except you’d be taken over by shadow monsters, not GIG), Killer 7’s art (awesome), and with a wider variety of shapes and sizes for the colossi

Participantlist of less fleshed out ideas:
– DBZ game (action game, probably) where Yamcha winning is canon and Tao Pai Pai is fckn brkn (in a good way!)
– a game similar to Super Smash Bros., but with deeper fighting, ARR PEE GEE ELEMENTS (powering up your favorite characters!), and a wider cast of characters from whatever games i like (gene from GOD HAND, GIG, iwazaru)
– a MGS-style game that is extremely over-the-top and insane (and probably with cel-shaded graphics)
– a game as inexplicably addictive as Phantasy Star Online, but with good combat and GOD HAND controls (no dodge rolling = sux)
might edit more in later idk
edit:
– a strategy rpg where the entire game is a single map. the map wouldn’t be very large vertically, but it would extend a long distance horizontally. the scenery would change as you progressed further to the right. preferably there’d be a variety of different scenarios (maps), perhaps even series of them that let you use the same characters as another one.
– an rpg (maybe a dungeon crawler?) in which most of the numbers going up is done through consumption of seeds/potions/herbs/some sort of item representing permanent stat boosts (this is just a shell of an idea)
– a silhouette mirage ripoff in which facing right makes gravity extremely strong, and facing left is MOON GRAVITY (or vice versa)

It would focus more on which paths you choose, which character you switch to, and what abilities you use. Since you’re no longer shooting the combat mechanic would be switched to different Heaven Smiles being more less vulnerable to different Smiths. You’d probably just be told that you’ve encountered a certain type of heaven smile, then the choices you type will determine the outcome of the battle it would calculate. Fleeing would be an option too, but there’d be a random chance of it failing with probability heightened or lowered depending on which Smith you’re using.
