ModeratorSo I got this game over the weekend.
I like it so far. Punch Out (in terms of dodging) + Oni + River City Ransom + Randomness = I don’t know what… but it’s fun.
I’ve heard that the gay bodybuilders were meant as a parody of Cho Aniki, but from everything I’ve heard of Cho Aniki I never, ever want to play that game.

ParticipantCho Aniki is INCREDIBLE (lol no)
if I had ever played Oni, I would agree 100% with your comparison!

ParticipantI’d compare the dodging to punch out, but certain times it’d be like fighting two Mike Tysons at once.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

KeymasterI used to be able to beat Iron Mike (or "Mr. Dream") rather consistently in Punch Out.

ParticipantI’ve gotten close, but I haven’t really seriously played it since I was 11. However, I did take out Nick (or was it Rick) Bruiser in Super Punch-Out in about 8 seconds before.
Reminds me, I recently purchased the Invincible Punch in GOD HAND, it’s pretty sweet. It’s unblockable and does 100 damage, it’s drawback is a 5 or so second long charge time. However, when you get hit while charging it up, you just take the damage and continue with your attack, pretty FLEXX unless you’re near-death.

ParticipantHm, never took a liking to this game. I’ve seen a lot of previews, and I’ve seen the fighting. It just seems a bit dull. The Warriors is a better brawl game. (Not saying it’s not, but just for it’s better credit.)
In any matter, I don’t see myself playing this in anytime, on the future.

ParticipantI haven’t played it yet, but CCG sent me a few songs and they were pretty rawkin’. What I love about the music is that much like me, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I could definitely picture it adding a lighthearted element of AWESOME to the game. Perhaps one day in the next 3 or 4 years I’ll give it a try (procrastinationnnnnnnnnnnnnn).
