You had a Sega CD too huh? Yea, RPG's were hard to play on it. The Sega CD system backup could barely save anything so you have to get the genesis cart memory pack. Even that would be wonky but it could at least save a bunch of shit on there so I could have Shining Force, Vay, Lunar's etc.
Played a bit of the PSX versions of Eternal Blue + Silver Star Story but I never really appreciated them as much as I did initially playing them for Sega CD in the early – mid 90's.
Night Trap lol. I miss games like that, and Rise of the Dragon. Yea there are supposed to be some 'adult' scenes, I wasn't ever sure of them either I didn't play it much.
Sewer Shark…wow that game was annoying lol. I remember when my buddy first got his Sega CD that was the first game he had so yea, we ended up playing it a lot. It was mildly entertaining but always kind of annoying to us.

June 25, 2011 at 5:10 am #18008Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterNah, Lunar was made by Working Designs and Working Designs was Sega-only. Sega CD + Sega Saturn mostly. Games like Lunar Silver Star Story, Lunar Eternal Blue, Vay, etc.

IIRC Game Arts did start with Sega on most of their stuff though, even Grandia 2 was on Dreamcast before it was ported to PS2.
WD brought over their ports to PSX, as well as a Growlanser collection and Alundra before they went under.

Just finished up the Vay Walkthrough Guide. Also here are some extra Vay Sega CD Pictures on Lordyuanshu Facebook (like us plz). The pics are pretty amusing, I have to say.

June 30, 2011 at 2:33 pm #18012SirazraelParticipantI've never heard of this Vay game before, but looking at those pictures you posted has me interested. Any knowledge of where I may pick up a ROM to check it out and/or any other classics you'd recommend?
