ParticipantKnights of valor is a side scrolling brawler with three kingdoms characters. There’s 3 of them, but the 3rd one isn’t emulated yet. You guys should give it a try. The second one is the best due to it’s replay value.
You can find the roms at: http://www.emuasylum.com/
I haven’t been able to figure out how to play the add-on Nine Dragons for Knights of Valor 2 yet. The game works on Nebular only, but the normal KOV2 works on Mame as well.

Oops, wrong link. I linked to their Turbo Grafix section instead. It’s actually an arcade game.

ModeratorI played it briefly in a shady arcade someplace in Kobe. I was like "Whoa, Three Kingdoms!" and my friends just said "There he goes again…" and went off to play Gundam ZX. :(
So I just played it a bit. Bit too much like Final Fight for my tastes; as I recall it was a brawler but you didn’t have weapons. I think you could pick up swords, but they’re only temporary. Just feels awkward for 3K. I would’ve thought they’d go for a more Knights of the Round feel.
I know Capcom has made some more recent (PSX) Three Kingdoms games, but I never got a chance to pick them up. The one I saw the most of was $70 or so, and that was a bit much for me. It could’ve been a port of Knights of Valor, but I didn’t look to closely.

Nope, wrong game. This game has weapons, and you can pick up more weapons. It’s actually more like Dungeons and Dragons than Final Fight.

Scroll down and take a look at some screens.

KeymasterHmm, it does remind me of a Streets of Rage / Knights of the Round type game, at least by how it looks.
What is Nebular or Mame? Emulators I assume but for what console?

ModeratorWhoa, it’s like the D&D games? Sign me up!
I must’ve been thinking of the other game Capcom made.

ParticipantThis game isn’t even made by Capcom. It’s made by some Chinese company. You level up your characters, collect weapons, items and equipment, and you can choose different paths and find secrets to get different officers to join you. The joining part is only for KOV2, not the first one. The first one has all that except the joining part. I’m going to see if I can get Super Heroes and Nine Dragons to work later today.

ParticipantMy nine dragons worked. It’s for Mame and it is a very good game

ParticipantHuh? How did you get Nine Dragons to work? I have the latest Mame32 and it’s still on the not working list.

ParticipantYou have to update it or something.
