ParticipantI have a billion Zheng Letters, but my party is too full. Does he just appear in billeting later on, or is it possible to remove party members at that point (pre-Chi Bi)?
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

KeymasterWell go there when your party isn’t full. Get Zhou Yu, dump him in billetting, get Zhang Zhao, dump him in billetting, get Lu Meng

ParticipantThere’s no billeting at that part of the game, the first usable billeting station you arrive at is during the conquering of Jing part. Though, I did discover that if you do hire him with your party full, he’ll be waiting for you at billeting later.

KeymasterYep the first billetting is Nan Jun or wherever Cao Ren is guarding. I don’t remember how I got all three at that point then, maybe just left the throne room and re-entered to get the other two? Not sure, did you get all three though?

ParticipantWhen you get them, do they disappear from the throne room? I only did it immediately when I got there, so I only managed to get Zhou Yu.

ParticipantAlso, you only fight Cao Ren in that forest and before you fight Lu Bu in that whole Jing part. I’m fairly certain there are no billeting stations until Jing, unless you count that empty one in that nameless city Guan Yu starts his march in early on, or when that one city is finally built.

KeymasterYep the first active one is the Nan Jun one the City Cao Ren guards. Maybe you just leave the room and come back and use the Zheng Letter again? I guess you can’t make use of it until Nanjun anyway.

ParticipantOkay, I think I got it, so you enter the palace, use the Zheng Letter, then leave. Then when you get to Nan Jun, you can use any of those three officers if you desire (to replace those oh-so-good generals such a Zhou Cang and Guan Ping)
My main thing was that I wanted Zhou Yu to be at point during the Chi Bi battle, for either a .gif or video I was going to do.

ParticipantIf you recruit the Wu generals, do they still appear in their lineups at the Chi Bi battles?
April 9, 2007 at 7:05 pm #23452Lord Yuan Shu
KeymasterWell Zhou Yu / Zhang Zhao / Lu Meng aren’t all in that battle are they…I thought it was like Zhou Tai, Gan Ning, Taishi Ci, Zhang Hong and Huang Gai…so no I don’t think it matters since they don’t appear in the battle but Zhou Yu will still say something at the beginning whether you recruited him or not.

ParticipantCan you get Taishi and Gan Ning by using the 64 items in the vault trick?

ParticipantNo you cannot…BUT, it is possible if you use the Wu mod and go all the way to the end, then change the name of a savestate to one compatible with the DoaE2 English game.

ParticipantAll I really want to know is the stat set for Lu Meng, Zhou Yu, and perhaps Taishi Ci. I imagine each one has no more than like 180 strength and 175 intelligence, but what do I know?
What!? Zhuge Liang controls even the heavens?
