Indeed; since I’m redoing the map I have to redo most tiles on most screens, and that takes a long time if I have to drag everything. It would be a lot easier drawing them on when identical tiles are next to each other, and I definitely have those planned out (as does vanilla — just look at the example above!)
EDIT: I should add that I’ve been making progress on preparing tilesets; they also help speed things up.

I’m not even sure I have my environment configured for DoaEd anymore – I think I’ll have to reinstall SVN at the very least… and I think I was using SharpDevelop or something, even if I still have that installed it’s probably worth migrating to something new to write the code. If I get much of anything done this weekend, I’d be doing it on a branch and likely won’t get to anything releasable. Lots of cobwebs to get out of my brain too, I haven’t opened the project in at least 8 years.
Eventually it might even make sense to migrate to github or something, since then we could set up a pipeline (automated compile + zipfile build).

When you right click on a warp right now it gives the option to select the warp (to move it). I want to also add an “edit warp” option which brings up a pop up screen. There you would see and be able to edit the warp location and destination with map previews for each. Would also want to add another couple of warps in the same format at the bottom of the form in case it is a cave warp. Cave warps usually have 1 or 2 more warps after it. If it’s not a cave warp those extra 2 warps will be disabled / greyed out. That would give the modder more control over warps and prevent the issues that Boneduke was having with cave warps where things were getting overwritten (right now cave warps automatically update the warp after the cave entrance warp).

It’ll absolutely take some time for even a demo, though.
