I found out in the last battle what Jie Zhen does, though I haven’t tested it out on any but the two last fights of the game. When the enemy is in the Feng Jian formation, I eliminated the middle general and had a general use Jie Zhen. It causes the enemy to break their formation and enter into the standard San Kai formation. I?ve tried this tactic with my generals in the Feng Jian formation, and the Yu Lin formation, and were able to pull off the Jie Zhen in each. Not sure if it?ll work in any other formations, or if formations even matter for causing the enemy formations to split. Not sure the effects on other enemy formations either.
Well, I couldn?t probably done more, but, I?m lazy and don?t feel like playing the game over again, so, the next anonymous stranger will figure it out.

Thank you for your information. Actually, what you say is true. Regardless of the enemy’s formation, if you use Jie Zhen and it is successful, the enemy formation is broken. I have never used it much but I had a few e-mailers say it’s a very effective tactic for the later Wei fights.
