I heard some time ago that Kongming.net had been hacked and whoever hacked it left a virus in it’s trace. Does someone knows if the situation has been resolved? (i.e Can I go back to kongming.net without fear of avast panicking on me?)

Yea that was a few weeks back. Someone hacked into James’ database and made every search engine result for KMA link to this guy’s blog or something (he had advertisements on there, so he was using James’ site for his own business ventures)

Bleh… what a fucker that guy was.
Nobody got a virus. A few people got security warnings because the script which redirected people showed signs of being a malicious VB script. There was no actual virus. It was just a RegEx redirect (to catch things like Google searches) to a fake blog page, which took values based on search terms and attempted to redirect again to third party traffic.
It was a huge pain in the ass to deal with, but it was done.
Ahh I missed all the craziness. Due to me having a dead laptop I didn’t visit kongming.net well just checked and glad for it to be running again.
