ParticipantI figured I might as well post this here…Israel, the PLO, and Lebanon are duking it out now and it looks like Syria might join in the fighting. Any thoughts on how far this is going to escalate?

ParticipantAs long as Israel takes casualties, I’m all for it.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

ParticipantI’ve heard the Israelis are willing to settle for peace on condition that the soldiers are returned and Hezbollah withdraws twenty miles from the border. Guess we’ll see how that pans out.

ParticipantAs you say, we shall see how it goes, even though we can’t do anything about it.

ParticipantIt seems there have been some border conflicts between the Kurds in NW Iraq and Turkey, and the Turks might start sending some troops in to prevent the possible formation of Kurdistan. Not good news for the US.

Participant"Kurdistan" what a funny name. I hope Israel takes heavy casualties.

ParticipantIsrael is most likely the most powerful country in the region, not to mention that they have REAL nukes, unlike most every other Arab country (Pakistan has nukes, but they’re more likely to use them on India).

ParticipantWell, this isn’t good news then, is it? Conflict continues, and the worst part in this, it’s that as Liu Bei would say, the people are the most likely to suffer in this conflict.

Participantthe israelis had lebanese prisoners, and so hezbollah responded by taking two soldiers hostage. then after a while when the israelis have been butchering the palestinians, hezbollah bombed israel(their leader, Hasan Nasr Alla loves palestinians and is a great sympothizer for them) and so that triggered the war. israelis bombed lebanese civilians while hezbollah targeted the military only.
