Yea I wasn’t sure about Fa Zheng’s role there. I did consider using Huo Hu but I figure I’ll use Huo Hu often enough in mods in the role of Zhu Ge Liang.
I’ve decided on some more roles. Yi Ji (in the house west of Nan Yang) is replaced with Fei Shi. Dong Yun and Dong He replace Ma Su and Ma Liang. Zhou Cang is replaced by Zou Jing. Dan Fu (Xu Zhe) will be Li Hui. Pang Tong is replaced by Jiang Wan.
Also I have begun to look at switching the enemies around. I left Han Xuan at Chang Sha but added Cai Mao for Yang Ling. Cai Mao is much harder at around 200 STR and INT.
Liu Kui and Zhang Ren (first Shu gate) is now Ma Chao / Ma Dai. The Fu Shui gate and castle are manned by Yang Ang, Yang Ren, Zhang Wei, Yuan Pu and Zhang Lu! That battle is hard as Zhang Lu is beefed up well.
As for Luo Castle I’m thinking of putting Wu Lan and Wu Yi for Ma Chao / Ma Dai, and then one of the better Shu generals for Pang De (like Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei, etc). Hopefully I can finish the rest of Shu up soon.

Oh! Speaking of which, what did you think of the encounter with Zhang Lu in DoaE 2.0?
I like it for the most part, you’re right though about most of shu’s officers kinda sucking. I do think most of the stats are pretty close to what I would realistically imagine them to be.
He was at Luo right? I probably had An Sha by then, so you know how those go. I’m around Jing Zhou in another playthrough with the 2.0 but it takes a while to get through! Lots of leveling and general recruiting.

yowch! that would be tough!! li ru, hua xiong, lu bu (killer sweet), li juo, guo si, wang shuang…maybe zhang xiu’s peeps-hu-che er, jia xu…that would be tough, no doubt!

Ahhh… yeah, that battle was really really harsh.
Here is my final-version work in progress. It fixes that battle and balances starting regions a little better. It also allows you to purchase the Wood H in Yuan Shao
balance in the beginning would be nice, but it’s still really good. i just had to level up very carefully! a side note, btw, love that you boosted the food!! it took me a lot of running around to gain levels!!!
I have loaded up ROTK4 and copied Dong Zhuo’s force from that game but Don’t really want guys like wang yun and yang biao in it.
