DragonAtma
ModeratorAtma's dificulty changes are already planned, you know… I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
And no, most LYSers won't be able to beat hard mode — it won';t be NintendoHard, but it won't in any way be hand-holding either.

ParticipantWoah, that could be EXTREMELY difficult. However, I don't think any DoaE is really impossible.

ParticipantWhat about a mod thats got nothing to do with the Three Kingdoms?, maybe it can attract more people to DoaE other than the usual RotTK fan.

KeymasterLink, he was just trying to set someone else up with an idea.
Of course, you could use other RPG's as a start (Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, etc). That'd be a lot more work in terms of changing the sprites and portraits, which is why it's always easier to do some Destiny of an Emperor / RTK offshoot since the visuals are already done for the most part.

ModeratorIt shouldn't be THAT hard to change those games…
Fighter -> Zhang Fei
Black belt -> Guan Yu
Red Mage -> Zhao Yun
Thief -> Cao Bao
White Mage -> Liu Bei
Black Mage -> Zhuge Liang
Black/pink/green/white would cover Guan Yu, Liu Bei, and Zhuge Liang, black/pink/red/gold would cover Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and Cao Bao…

Keymasterhaha, Tao Quian.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2. I love that 189 Scenario, in both RTK II and III.
It is definitely not easy to survive using Tao Qian's forces led by the statistically brilliant Cao Bao.

The problem is you need a source material with a bajillion names.
Which is why you usually need to do something historical or at least a very complicated source (which is why I considered Gemfire).
How about a Civil War DoaE mod? You could start off as Lincoln, then he'd get elected after an aging Buchanan is unable to quell anti-abolitionist rebellions in the north.

ModeratorThe problem is that DoaE is designed for multiple forces, not just a couple forces.
Maybe I'll revive the Sengoku mod soemtime…
EDIT: Come to think of it, the characters from Ogre Battle (of all things!) would fit this somewhat…

ParticipantI still think that a RoTK mod is best for DoaE.

KeymasterWell yea that goes without saying.
Anyway, you were the one who wanted to brainstorm about other potential DoaE mods :) huohu
