ModeratorMidknight I cant seem to figure out the value needed to move those names down ie: the first line down 1, which moves the 2nd down 1, and then move the Soldier count down 1. Im hoping this will fix the name cut off bug with the new general page update.
Dosets should be Dosetsu.

Let me know if that still cuts off Dosetsu. There may be another value for the length of the name.
EDIT: Yes, it looks like it is limited to 8 characters long but that can be changed. Change 0x3EA3E to whatever number for length. If you wanted to extend it by three go from 08 to 0B. You can also change where the name starts horizontally by adjusting 0x3EA3D. Add 1 to move it right a notch, etc…

ModeratorAh thank you kind sir. And about the music which MS posted about, I was actually more or less wondering about the tag that makes a specific battle play a specific type of music. For example, Im guessing there is some kind of table much like the battle taunts table that displays a specific ID that makes certain battles play certain music. Like a regular boss battle being 00, but ones like Sima Yi's and Sun Quan would be 01.

ModeratorSince there are only 2 battles with the special song there is probably some exception code somewhere, not an entire table.
I can poke around for this later.

ModeratorIt's not exactly a deal breaker, but there are a few specific battles I wish we could put that mega-boss music to, at least for this new mod.

Currently I am starting work on Kyushu (Shu) and have to figure out how I am going to send a player back towards Odawara castle and still have room for Sekigahara and the final showdown will probably be @ Osaka w/ some characters everyone loves.
When I get through with those main plot and battle elements I will be releasing the beta for everyone, hopefully I can get it out before the New Year but…

Moderatorfor soldiers down it was actually 3ED98 not 99 which is horizontal movement. Moving the name <- makes it look really goofy, so after the correct adjustment to soldier counts, everything looks much better. I would recommend you make the changes as well on the IPS patch b/c a name like Xingdao Rong get chopped in the general screen.
1. A few adjustment that could be made is moving the gen. portrait down slightly. Id need to know the address for that though to tinker w/ the values.
2. Adjusting the horizontal postion of officer names on the main battle screen to see if we can extand officer names longer than 7 characters. (japanese names are much longer than chinese aka: Chosokabe Motochika vs. Liu Bei

ModeratorSure I'll play with that Sonic and see what I can do. I had trouble moving the portrait before but I'll give it another crack.
Also, have you used up all the generals in your mod? Since you mentioned Osaka, I think it would be super cool to have some Shogun characters make cameo appearances. Lord Toranaga, Lord Ishido, Samurai Omi, Lord Yabu, maybe even Blackthorne and Mariko.

I'll look into this, maybe as a special battle like I had with in the Rise of Lu Bu Mod and Zuo Ci. To my knowledge the battle of Osaka castle involved Sanada Yukimura. I'll probably wind of throwing in some other souped-up officers in there as well. I have a special tactic I've introduced for specific battles that will hopefully keep players on their toes around this time as well! :cactuar:
Im having trouble ATM who to put as a suitable Pang Tong replacement since this will be around the time of the conquest of Kyushu… I'm thinking Kobayakawa Takakage

ModeratorYa a cool special Shogun battle would be great. Shogun is actually fictional and Lord Toranaga is based on Ieyasu so it's the same time period. Have you not seen the Shogun miniseries? OMG you must see it. DO NOT get the condensed 2-hour version. Spend a weekend sometime and watch the full 10 hour mini-series. It's great! Especially if you are interested in that time period.

A "Shogun" mod would be awesome but you're already covering the same time period so that wouldn't make sense. So maybe a special Shogun battle in your mod would be coool. But you have to watch the mini-series first! It's a MUST see!
