masamune
Participantwhile i was playing nobunaga’s ambition 2(by KOEI) i captured a general named takenaka hanbei.. and to my curiousity to why he has a high stats.. i searched the internet
ive found out that takenaka hanbei is like zhuge liang(it is said on the site ive found)
and because his decisions are not wise at all(he have taken inabayama castle*mino province*(thru a rebellion w/ 16 men!?!?) but he didnt give it to oda nobunaga instead he gave the caslte to its former lord*before his rebelilion*)
i dont believe this though cause he only lives for 36 yirs of his life.. and the site on where i found his biography is rather fiction as well(i think)
he have helped hashiba hideyoshi from battles to administrative affairs…because of his sickness he havent participated well on battles(sometimes excusing himself out of battles) so he retired early and instead of going to battles he helped toyotomi hideyoshi in domestic and administrative affairs
ill tell you the reason why i putted this on ROTK thread:
it is said that he is like kongming(zhuge liang)
heheeh sorry for being out of topic!!

ParticipantThis should probably go in the Other Games section.
I need to learn more about the Warring States period…

ParticipantNobunaga’s Ambition is difficult. I’d recommend Shingen the Ruler for NES over it.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

ParticipantTanekana Hanbei was actually Hashiba Hideyoshi’s tactician, before he died. After that, I think it became Kanbei Kuroda, until the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Which is the same person, btw).
Need more info about thoses officers? I’ve got them, became a little addicted with Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness, and decided to get Samurai Warriors and it’s Xtreme Legend, which has the info on some officers. Can’t wait till the 2 comes out. (There will also be SW2:Empires, which I’ll also grab.)

ParticipantWhoa, Lord of Darkness is vastly superior to the original. I just tried it.

ParticipantYou think so, I prefer the gameplay of the original, but I like that there are other officers besides rulers.

ParticipantI am now playing Lord of Darkness quite a bit, so maybe I will post some pics on here or something.
Speaking of which, still waiting on those pics of Musashi, Perhong.

Participant

Yeah, completely forgot about those, here they are!
Also, wanna know what happens when no officers are left alive?
He’s the last one alive
His next turn
Dang, just when this guy was born? Did he even do the campaign in Osaka?!? (See the date and his age!)
He’s dead, get it?
Ah, that’s too bad.
I like how they skipped one turn before saying that!
Self-Explanatory…Well, that’s it! Need anything else?

ParticipantDon’t suppose you know when Date Masamune shows up, do you?
September 23, 2007 at 3:38 pm #21251Perhong_Angtong
ParticipantMasamune? I think he shows up in early 1580s. Lemme check my files though.
EDIT:
He was already there. Historically, his father, Terumune, died in the year Masamune became 18, around 1581.

ParticipantMan, I don’t have the patience for Nobunaga’s Ambition, it’s just like. "Oh hey, you’re dead now" and it’s battle system is pretty awful imo.

ParticipantAt least in lord of darkness, you can choose someone to succeed to you, in the original, you die, and then lose ALL your territories…

That’s an improvement, I played the original a lot. I almost, just barely, by an inch, beat the first scenario of the original become Shingen died of old age. Only had one territory left to conquer too.
