P.T.O. – Pacific Theatre of Operations

I never got into the SNES games, but I stopped by a local gamestore (still scoping out the local places near my new place) and found… P.T.O. 4 for PS2. I didn’t know this game existed!

The series is a WW2 officer-based naval oriented sim.

It’s sort of bland, but it’s pretty cool to see the ship battles (and I’m not usually a sucker for graphics).

I’ve only played it a couple hours, though. They recommend you automate the resource management to start off which makes things feel too simple. Otherwise I bet they’d be too complicated… ship design in particular looks really number-filled.
