ParticipantFor the PS2, or the Gamecube. I'm not willing to spend dozens of bucks on new-gen games atm, what with nothing being at a bargain in Canada, and I'm not going to rummage through eBay to get a NES or Genesis game. >.>
Any recommendations? I prefer anything beatable, with replay value, possibly a type of "free mode," like, anything outside of story/campaign. If you know what I mean.

ModeratorWell, my most common PS2 choices are NIS, Koei, or Squeenix games. As for the GC, my most common choices seem to be Nintendo games. Which genres do you prefer?

KeymasterResident Evil for the Gamecube. Classic game, nice updated graphics + extras added. Only like $12 on Amazon used

ParticipantRE looks nice, but I'm sure I need my parents to go over it and hopefully ignore the obvious gore that will ensue. -.- Damn my young age and strict parental guidance.
As for genres, I prefer FPS or Beat 'Em Up (or whatever you call those DW or DBZ type games). I've noticed a lot of BEU games do have less replay value, but no harm coming from suggestions.
I already have:
PS2:
All the Call of Dutys
All the Rainbow Sixes
All the DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichis
DW4
DW5
Orochi 1
2004 NHL
Gamecube:
All the Zeldas
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
…is about it.

ModeratorI don't really play FPSes or beat 'em ups a lot, but there's always Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Orochi Warriors 2, and Samurai Warriors 2.

KeymasterGood point on RE being non-parent friendly. That was an oversight on my part.
Maybe GODHAND? If CommieCatGirl was around that's what Commie would suggest…

Participantlol Godhand, good game. Though the only one-on-one system gets repetitive after awhile, I'll consider it. :p
On the other hand, I remember considering getting DW6:Special a while ago on LYS.com, maybe I'll get back to that and grab it sometime today. If we have any left instore.

KeymasterOh yes definitely forgot about that. Get that. They have extra musou modes from the regular DW6 for like Zhang He, Ling Tong, Sun Ce, etc (also those characters have their original weapons).

ParticipantAck. All that the local gamestore had was some Splinter Cells, so I got that for the PS2 and Double Agent for Gamecube. :/ It's okay, but not really much of replay value. Unfortunately for me, I have this tendency to HAVE to buy something when I go to a game store, so yeah.

ModeratorOuch.
I avoid impulse buying; if they don't have anything I like, I leave empty-handed.

KeymasterYes I do the same as DA. Usually if I am at the point of considering lesser options I then just choose nothing ultimately :huohu:
So you can't get your folks to order online from like Amazon? DW6 special for ps2 is like ~$20-$25 on Amazon. But those games will probably keep you interested for a while. Hope you enjoy.

ParticipantI order stuff from Amazon, but DW6:Special is not available at Amazon.ca. :/

KeymasterAgh. Friggin Canada.
You can't order off amazon.com and have them deliver to Canada? Just seems kind of silly considering Amazon is based in Washington State which is bordering Canada, and sending stuff to Canada through mail is basically an extension of the states anyway…

ParticipantAmazon.com delivers everything to Canada BUT movies and games, and I think books. Assholes. >.>
So basically, since I don't order quilts or anything, Amazon.com doesn't work for me at all, forcing me to turn to Canada to sell their extremely high-priced items if they even happen to have them.
