how about finding huo hu powder instead of the gemsword. lu bu would go apeshit over that powder. "is that huo hu’s powder?" "i would give much for that powder."
Build a glitch into the game like with the zheng letter from DOAE2, that when you use the Huo Hu powder on generals they will join you.
