In lieu of all the e-mails I’ve received, I’ve decided to start placing the relivent ones in their respective sections. I just got this today, by the way.
Dear Lord Yuan Shu,
Hi, my name is Samuel. We have never met but I have
played and finished Destiny of an Emperor 2 (DOE2)
many times, in the Japanese and Chinese versions. I
can fill the details about Jie Zhen and Jie Ce for
you.
Jie Zhen is a special tactic. If successful, the
recipient’s formation will be broken down into SanKai.
Chances for this tactic to succeed is so low that I
give up trying. Instead, I tactically hit enemy
generals in order to kill 2 of them (1 for Ba Gua).
The formation then breaks down. If we face enemy
generals like Sima Yi and set up Ba Gua formation
right at the start of the battle, he may use Jie Zhen.
My Ba Gua falls apart into SanKai and I have to burn
another 48 TP to form it again (so mindboggling). Liu
Bei’s tacticians learn this tactic at level 30.
Jie Ce is another special tactic. Our generals may be
caught in a Li Jian, Ji Mian, Fu Sha, or Li Fan. If
we use Jie Ce successfully, the tactics used on one of
our generals will be nullified. For example, An enemy
tactician has used Li Jian successfully on Zhang Fei.
We can order Zhao Yun to use Jie Ce. If succeed,
Zhang Fei’s Li Jian will no longer be in effect.
Officers learn this tactic at level 31.
You miss one important fact regarding the Jing Mo
formation. The downfall for this formation is that we
cannot use any healing tactics. If both sides use
Jing Mo, our evasion effectiveness decreases and we
cannot replenish our troops.
Hope these help. I am playing the English version
now. I may fill more information for you by e-mail
when I discover more missing things from your
walkthrough.
Your website is very cool. I am glad that I visited.
Samuel

Samuel, any chance you can translate one or both of the DOAE3 games?
April 24, 2006 at 3:11 am #18099SamuelParticipantSorry, no, I can’t do that. I have never played DOAE3 and do not have time to learn it.
April 24, 2006 at 3:16 am #18100Taishi CiParticipantOh well. Welcome to the site, by the way.
April 24, 2006 at 3:39 am #18101Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterHaha, way to be on top of things Taishi Ci. Unfortunately our quest for a translator continues.
And yes, enjoy your stay Samuel.

You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

But Dan Fu has barricaded himself in a cave where he lives without food and drink. We’ll need some "powder" to save him.
