ModeratorI’ve had it since it was on cart. Seeing as one of my saves is level 99, you’d think I would’ve gotten all of the weapons to rank 9, but half of them are only rank 8 weapons. :(

KeymasterThis game and series never did it for me.

ModeratorMana is a freaking weird series.
I’d have to say Secret of Mana’s the best of the bunch. SoM2 / SD3 had some cool elements, but the combat just feels unnatural and sort of buggy. It’s like they refined it too much and it didn’t turn out very well.
Legend of Mana was weird too. And very easily exploitable. I loved the music and style, but it was just a sort of lackluster game. I didn’t even bother to try SD4 or Heroes of Mana.

ParticipantFor what? Wii?
This is one of the best games ever made.
LYS, have you played the original? The others are really damn weird, but the original is solid gold. How could you dislike it?

KeymasterI saw it on VC too. And no, I haven’t really played it. I played it a bit back in the mid 90’s but it was with a friend and I wasn’t really engrossed into the game. I’m sure if I played it back then more I would have appreciated it and would get this for nostalgia purposes…

ParticipantGive it a real shot sometime. Unlike some old games it is good for more than just nostalgia. It is a solid game with some really fun gameplay. And the areas, soundtrack, and ease of play only make it more wonderful. It is especially fun as a multiplayer game. I’ve purchased a number of Mana sequels, each time hoping that it would re-capture at least some small virtue of the original. Only one came anywhere near close.

Moderator…technically this is NOT the original — Final Fantasy Adventure is.
