Good old Youtube subscription updates from long-time LYS member Perhong Angtong.
I love the map on this game, and the music. Makes me feel like I'm in my back yard on the beach.
So I started it up on my NES…and damn, forgot this game is hard as hell. Poor Perhong can barely do Chapter 3…I'm in Chapter 7 just getting my ass kicked. Kind of a Zelda I rip-off but the challenge is great.

Yea, there is a ton to do in Chapter 3. I like having to go to that big graveyard with the pond. That's a tough dungeon, hard to figure out what to do at that point.
Then Chapter 4 they have that "input frequency" thing. Such a crazy concept…there is a page in the INSTRUCTION BOOKLET for Startropics and you have to dip it in water, and it shows a sequence of numbers. So before the days of the internet, if you had the game without the instruction booklet (which I did), you had no f'n idea what numbers to input when the game / robot asks you. Even with the instruction booklet it doesn't exactly say dip the booklet in water, you kind of just have to figure it out.
