Those Horrobeasts or whatever always fuck me over by using that attack that takes off 100-150 on all party members. Yeah I’d say that’s the hardest non-optional battle in the game, Chris vs. Sarah for the Water Rune.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingI’ve always found Geddoe vs. Yuber to be harder myself. I don’t recall having many problems with Chris vs. Sarah.
I’m guessing the hardest plot battle is vs. all three of them in Chris Ch. 3? I haven’t played this in a while.
Well, maybe it’s a little off topic, but I must say that this Suikoden didn’t give me as much fun as the first two, but it’s still a good game.
My favorite chapter is the two Thomas chapters.

Thomas should have gotten a true rune, being a Tenkai star, but no. Not even a visit from Leknaat.
You watch, it’ll turn out that Thomas is the villain in the last Suikoden or something like that.

No, Luc is just crazy about changing that whole Dharma/Chaos future thing, and he doesn’t want to be just a clone of Hikusaak. Either way his plan develops (he wins, he dies; he fails, you kill him) he dies and Hikusaak has one less True Rune.
Now, for a real villain, look at the Godwins, or Luca Blight.
Oh yeah! Luca Blight! I remember that if you’re below LV 40, he’s ALMOST impossible to beat!

I prefer Luca Blight over the Godwins, actually. Luca might have been an inhuman monster, but he told you as much with his final monologue. The Godwins execute a coup, try to use the Sun Rune, and attempt genocide, then they try and say it was "for the good of Falena".
Could you just please refresh my memory by telling me in which Suikoden did they appear?

Suikoden 5, as one of the major political families, along with the Barrows (not that Salum Barrows is much better).
Hummm… That’s why I didn’t know about this one… I only played the first three of the serie.

Thomas’ chapters are the best. I agree. In other news I haven’t touched Suikoden 4 since sometime last week.
